Nigerian women should learn from these happy people. They are finer, sexier, richer, more intelligent yet submissive and seem happy with each other sharing a man. Better to share a man as a married woman than share a pillow as an evening newspaper.

Sit At Home is a simple, effective and mildest form of civil disobedience and only a small sacrifice to pay in the course of FREEDOM. The people get it and comply

Ishilove, I'm sorry, I had to disturb your peace a little, you seems to me like someone whose thinking is a bit slow. How can you see these proofs ( that the people themselves are complicit) yet put the blame on FG.

IPOB has the approval of the super majority because they are self sponsored. They are not inflicting any pain to everyday Igbo man, woman, youth or children.

Politicians are nothing when the people speak with one voice.

Other majority ethnic nationalities are crying more than the Igbos because they hate it when Igbos speak with one voice and vote the same pattern.
Ishilove, if you talk back at me when next I put facts on your face, I might be forced to give you a very hot slap.

This is full blown terrorism, but as usual, the FG will play possum until the violence escalates. How can someone sit in faraway Europe and hold a whole state to ransom?
Try make a good use of your brain and stop blaming the FG for this. I have since observed that a large number of ibos are hypocrites. Soludo came in and all of a sudden, y'all started denying Ipob. How much support had Obiano from ibos when Ipobs were making his regime ungovernable, same for Uzodima and Ugwuanyi. Others could burn in hell except Soludo being the beautiful swan. Unfortunately, there's nothing Soludo could do, Ipob has grown into a monster that was fed, nutured and protected over the years.
Simon Ekpa is the annointed successor of Nmandi Kanu, so he speaks directly his mind. When Kanu was brought back from Kenya, ibos were everywhere barking at Buhari. When Uzodima asked for Army deployment in Imo, it was same ibos accusing him of inviting the Army to kill ibos. Buhari received all sorts of insults from ibos. What exactly do you want?.. Pls, enjoy your monster and stop involving the FG. Pretty sure you'd storm the court in your Asoebi at the next court hearing demanding that Kanu be released.

Shut up!

Who negotiated the existence of the fake unity called Nigeria. Who and who were in attendance when the British wanted to gift independence to Nigeria.

Nnamdi Azikiwe is his Name! It' was due to the political sagacity of Zik, cum his intellectual acuity, that made it possible for Nigeria to gain independence from Britain without fighting like the Americans did.

There's a reason Zik is referred to as Zik of Africa! The world knows the Gargantua contribution of this man in building a United Africa, an organisation that still runs today as African Union.

Yeah, Igbos were originally the grand chessboard of Nigeria, but unfortunately we lost everything when we lost the war. And as usual, we had to go through the humiliation that comes with losing a war. It's a normal thing that happens when people lose a war - They are treated very unfairly!

But the good news is that instead of the Igbos to sit on their palm, we picked up ourselves and tried to secure our backs through business, because money is everything, and slowly we are finding our selves back to politics.

And there's nothing 10000s of you can do about it.

Peter Obi to the world!!!
Mr Chestbeater, calm down and learn history. Because you may end up puncturing holes in your chest in this your quest.

Politics › Re: Can You Vote For A Woman As President Of Nigeria? by Pakute: 12:40pm On Apr 02, 2022
safarigirl:
She was elected by the National Assembly for a largely ceremonial role.

The women were not elected largely by their own merit, I am sure nobody even considered running mate. They just saw the President and that was enough for most. Most of the world elects the President, the VP, is viewed as mostly a ceremonial role

Either way, aside Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, no other African woman has gone through a proper democratic electoral process to be President in the way the question being posed means.

So, you need not try to save Africa's face by discrediting that lady's point.

In fact, even if the whole of Africa were to somehow elect women, this particular country of yours will never change.

I am sure you have gone through the comments on this topic already to see how much Nigerian men loathe the idea of a female leader, and the women are not much better.
What da balderdash are you on about?. Have you failed to take into cognizance the fact that African countries practice different systems of Government. In Mauritius for instance, members of parliament elect the head of Government such as it is usually applied in a parliamentary system, in contrast to Malawi where a Presidential system of Government is being practised, Joyce Benda exercised full executive powers and implemented government policies on political matters. Therefore, the powers of each office largely depends on the system of Government adopted.
You wouldn't entirely blame Nigerian men because we found ourselves in a very peculiar country in which we have the highest number of Educated population in Africa. Nigerian men would not lower the standards of the highest office in the country just so to accommodate gender bias. Women would have to do a lot more to up their standards if they want to be voted into the office of the Presidency. Evidences abound from everyday responses from the female folks showing their subpar level of intellectual capacities on a forum as large as Nairaland which reflects the microcosm of Nigerian female representation.

Aside Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, who is the second African woman that completed a tenure as President? And please, ensure that this woman was ELECTED as President when you want to respond to me, not President by way of death or "make dem just dey there until we find a capable man"

We are talking about electing an African President here. So, in your state of knowledge, please, tell us the second elected woman that recently finished their tenure as at 2018.
Ameenah Gurib- Fakim was the first woman elected as President of Mauritius. Besides, no matter how you may try as hard to spin it, those women who served as Acting President, irrespective of whatever must have happened to the serving Presidents, did so based of on the fact that they were jointly elected alongside their bosses. Therefore, technically they were elected in the eyes of the law. The fact that they could be elected on a joint ticket, completed the tenure of their Administration as Acting President, is evident that African women who are worth their salt ( obviously fewer in number)could be elected as President.

Lol, in “Africa” it is a taboo to allow women taje top positions in leadership let alone become VPs or Presidents, according to “Africa, women should be in the kitchen” and it’s this same backward thinking that’s not allowing them move forward.

Look at New Zealand, their Prime Minister since 2017 till present has been a woman, she has worked so hard for these years and New Zealand citizens are thinking of giving her a second term. The members of their parliament are women in majority
The VP of US is a woman, the members of the parliament are women close to 50 of them.
Same for other developed countries too.

Look at Nigeria, out of 360 members you can hardly comfortably count the number of women there.
A Google search would have prevented you from proudly embarrassing your generation in public in sheer ignorance. Not less than two African women completed their tenure as President of their countries as recently as 2018.
Is it you that can't make a good use of the little brain you've got but want to spread your legs to the highest political position of the country?.. I say God forbid.
