horsepower102: A thread clearly promoting cessation which for years has been against nairaland policy was boldly pushed to the front page yesterday on Nairaland.
https://www.nairaland.com/7811822/nigerians-united-niger-delta-union
When I opened the thread and read the contents, I immediately knew why nairaland was willing to violate its own policy just to push such a divisive thread to front page.
It was meant to target a certain group and it did the job they wanted it to do. The OP of that thread is not calling for the division of Nigeria. He's just promoting the States in the South South. The OP didn't target any group of people unless you can show evidence he was targeting any group of people. |

Brendaniel: President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has asked the Senate to approve a borrowing request of $800 million for the National Social Safety Net Programme.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Tinubu, in a letter read by Senate President Godswill Akpabio during plenary on Thursday, said the loan would be used to provide financial assistance to poor and vulnerable Nigerians.
The letter said the loan would be sourced from the World Bank and would be used to transfer N8,000 per month to 12 million poor and low-income households for six months.
Tinubu said the programme would also stimulate economic activities in the informal sector and improve the nutrition, health, education, and human capital development of beneficiaries’ households.
The letter reads: “Please note that the federal executive council led by President Muhammadu Buhari approved an additional loan facility to the tune of $800 million to be secured from the World Bank for the National Social Safety Net programme. Copy of FEC’s extract attached. Yes, nah the $800m initiated by the Buhari Administration but the senate didn't let Buhari have access to it because his administration was about to end. Tinubu had to write to them for them to give him access to it. It's no big deal. Go through the article you shared with me, everything is written clearly in it. |

Brendaniel: Was the loan given to Buhari or Tinubu?
I now see why people like you support Tinubu and see him as a mentor, you have low morals, you won't pay your friend the money to pay back the loan he took for you and tomorrow you will ask the same friend for help? The $800m loan initiated by Buhari was giving to the FG. Go through my comments, no b french I dey use type, I don write am before. I can't ask a friend of mine to take loan on my behalf. Is so foolish taken a loan on behalf of somebody else. I won't do such a thing for anybody and I won't advise anybody to do it for me. If I am doing a business and a loan is required, I will get the loan myself. If you go dey take a Loan on behalf of anybody, you're on your own |

Brendaniel: A man entered a canteen and ordered food and before the food arrived his table he left the canteen, another man in the canteen saw the order and liked it, he decided to take it and eat, who is now responsible for the order and who is supposed to pay? The first or the second man?
A friend takes loan for you to do business, who is going to pay back you or your friend? The FG will surely pay back the loan that was initiated by the FG under Buhari. My friend will pay back the loan, not me because I didn't take a Loan. The people he got the loan from will hold him, not me. |

Please answer the 2 questions above... So if you took a loan on my behalf from Zenith bank, so nah me bank go com dey hold instead of you abi? Please I don't want to believe you're a daft person abeg. You're asking me Irresponsible and daft questions. Is there anywhere in my post I claimed the loan won't be paid back by Tinubu, cause I no even understand all this back and forth talk again Buhari requested for a loan, the senate decide not to let him have access to it because his tenure was about to end. Tinubu Government has now been given access to the loan... So what's all this tears all about? NNPCL took a loan and will be paying back their loan. |

The 9th Senate, refused to give approval to former president Muhammadu Buhari’s government to access the fund because it was a few days to the expiration of the administration. Tinubu administration have access to the fund now, and I don't understand why you're crying bitterly because of it. NNPCL took a $3b loan, not Tinubu Government and the NNPCL will pay back the loan. |

Sometimes I wander if you guys have a brain at all. The $800m was initiated by Buhari, Tinubu continue from where he stopped. $3billion was borrowed by NNPCL, not Tinubu. |
