USA is ahead of Russia in space technology presently Everyone knows the USSR was ahead before the USA catch up with them USA is ahead of Russia in space technology right now. |
Namaster:I disagree with you on this. I think the government do not just have enough resources to nip it in the bud at once. |

Procashtips:Did you even understand my first post you quote at all? A lot of you just read comments but fail to understand the comment. |
Procashtips:If you can show evidence why you feel Russia is leading, why won't I shift ground? I do not dispute the fact that the USSR was going head to head with the USA at some point, but right now, the USA is ahead of Russia. |

VeryWickedMan:Lol So NASA has never flown to space on US rockets before? Let me ask you again, you mean the Russians are ahead of the USA because USA astronauts fly to space on board the Soyuz? ![]() |
VeryWickedMan:so the only reason you believe Russia is ahead of the USA is because Russia Soyuz do carry USA astronauts to space? ![]() |
VeryWickedMan:Calm down alaye, i said the USA is presently ahead of Russia in the space race, but you claimed "Far ahead yet NASA uses Russian rockets to launch all their satellites till date & uses Soviet Baikonur cosmodrome in Kazakhstan till date" Then i ask you if it's just because of this you feel the USA is not ahead. I don't want to believe this is the only reason you disagree with my opinion ![]() |
WriterNig: VeryWickedMan:So the only reason you believe Russia is ahead of USA is because the USA still make use of Russia Soyuz? |

The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited has concluded plans to supply 100 million standard cubic feet of gas per day to the Dangote Fertiliser and Petrochemical Plant in Lekki, Lagos State. The SPDC said it took the final investment decision alongside its joint venture partners – Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, TotalEnergies EP Nigeria Limited, and Nigerian Agip Oil Company. The decision is to “build a dedicated upstream facility to supply 100 million standard cubic feet of gas per day to Dangote Fertiliser and Petrochemical Plant in Lekki, Lagos State, for 10 years,” a statement made available to The PUNCH on Sunday stated. According to the statement signed by the Shell Nigeria Media Relations Manager, Abimbola Essien-Nelson, the Managing Director of SPDC, Osagie Okunbor, disclosed in Port Harcourt Friday that the final investment decision was “a significant step in supporting the Nigerian government’s ‘Decade of Gas’ ambition”. Okunbor had stated, “This investment decision is a critical step in pursuing the development of the gas-rich Iseni field, which is part of the Okpokunou Cluster in Oil Mining Lease 35 located in Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.” He was said to have added that SPDC and its joint venture partners remained committed to Nigeria’s ‘Decade of Gas’ ambition and, particularly, the domestic gas agenda. According to Okunbor, increasing the delivery of natural gas to the domestic market is key to accelerated industrialisation and economic development in Nigeria. “The FID signals a positive step towards the construction of the required infrastructure for the project that is expected to create jobs through direct and indirect employment. “Dangote boasts Africa’s largest granulated urea fertiliser complex and produces around 65 per cent of Nigeria’s domestic fertiliser requirements. “The project will supply gas which will enhance the Dangote Fertiliser and Petrochemical Plant’s ability to deliver on its promise to the Nigerian people and government,” the statement concluded. In March 2022, Shell signed an agreement for a daily supply of 70 million standard cubic feet of gas to Dangote Fertiliser Company to boost production and for local and export purposes. President and Chief Executive, Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, who signed the agreement on behalf of the company two years ago, said the additional gas supply would “help us bring in more foreign exchange to Nigeria and confirm Nigeria’s position as the continent’s second-largest producer of fertiliser.” https://punchng.com/shell-plans-gas-supply-to-dangote-fertiliser-plant/?amp |
A socio-cultural group under the aegis of the Fulani Youth Association of Nigeria has decried the continuous detention of the President of the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Abdullahi Bello Bodejo, by the Nigerian Army. The group, therefore, called on President Bola Tinubu to urgently intervene in the matter in the interest of equity and fairness for all citizens of the country. This was contained in a statement signed by the Convener of the Fulani Youths Association of Nigeria, Mohammed Suleiman, and made available to journalists in Lafia on Saturday. The statement read, “We are aware that Bodejo was picked in his office for some days now and he is being held at the facility of the Nigerian Army in Asokoro without charge. “The Nigerian Army is not empowered by our laws to detain any citizen. The Police and the Department of State Services are the only ones with the power to detain a citizen. Keeping Alhaji Bodejo for this long period is illegal. “By this illegal act, the Army is going outside its constitutional duty. They should hand over our leader to the Police or the DSS and grant them records of whatever they are investigating. “We call on the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to as a matter of urgency order the immediate release of the Lamido Fulbe, Bello Bodejo.” The group also described Bodejo’s continuous detention without trial as “unconstitutional” and “smacks of impunity of the highest order.” “If the Army has evidence against Bello Bodejo committing any offence known to the law, he should be arraigned before a competent court. Subjecting him to illegal detention is an infringement on his fundamental human rights as enshrined in the constitution,” the statement added. Sunday PUNCH gathered that Bodejo’s arrests may not be unconnected to his recent establishment and inauguration of a 1,144-man nomad vigilante team saddled with the responsibility of fighting against banditry, cattle rustling, and all forms of insecurity in Nasarawa State. https://punchng.com/order-miyetti-allah-leaders-release-fulani-youths-beg-tinubu/?amp |
