The US have marines and combat soldiers stationed all over the world. They have the resources and manpower to overcome any form of threat to its national security. Obama have so far limited the amount of bombardment in the Isis ridden territory.

Isis are pro-Islamic organisation, well grounded, educated and politically sound. They see the weakness in the American govt and have taken the initiative and advantage in advancing their mandate... eliminating every non-muslim and those that side with the "infidels".

Before the emergence of Isis, Muslims have always has a thing for blood. If every time we get provoked we resort to killing, the population of the world won't even be close to 7 billion. The intolerance of this religion is too preposterous and ultimately inhumane.

To be more objective, criminologist Christie once said " the terrorist attack of 9/11 was not a random act". It was borne out of frustration, poverty and oppression. But Ghandi (1916) proposed a more balanced way of fighting oppression or poverty... peaceful protest. Civil disobedience with violence results in anarchy. But a peaceful protest solves problems.
