You have a fair point but you are drawing conclusions after having seen the second in two chapters. I am not trying to discredit Orochimaru but we have yet to see him DEFEND an onslaught. The Third made Tobi look a fool when he (Tobi) attacked the fourth unprepared and in dire constraints, while Sasuke floored Orochimaru in a psychic world Oro himself created, whether he was weak or surprised was no excuse.

Reminds me of something that happened Yesterday. I packed my car on a street in Lagos when l went shopping.
The place had about four cars already packed and l just moved into an empty space.
I checked all around to see if there was a "No Parking Sign" anywhere around: NONE.
Out of the four cars already parked, one seems to have been there for a few days judging by the amount of dust it has accumulated. I felt at ease.
I also parked properly ensuring that l would not obstruct traffic in the slightest or causing any form of obstruction.

I satisfied my conscience properly as l generally dont flout laid down rules anywhere l am and l respect my self (so l dont get insulted!).

Lo and behold, am back about twenty minutes later and my car is GONE!
My first thought was: Haaa, not again, this Lagos people have stolen this car! If not that l took notice of the house number l parked in front, l would have sworn my car was in another street because apart from still finding the other cars in place, another car had parked in my original spot! Jezzuz Christ!!

To cut a long story short, l after a lot of trials, l located the car at a LASTMA dump around Suura Market.
Twenty thousand Naira was demanded as "Fine" for parking illegally.

I tried to explain to the chaps that there was no sign indicating a No-Parking zone and that the other cars are still there (they dont have resident parking stickers so, thats a no-brainer) and why they had to single out my own car for towing?
BTW: 10K was the towing fee! a distance of how many meters?

I called their "Senior" aside and asked him:
1.) if it was right to TOW my vehicle when their was not a "No Parking Sign" in sight?
2.) Why the other cars l met their where not towed earlier
3.) Why the cars l met there and another one are all still there without being towed?
4.) That he use his discretion to release my car unconditionally

He said he was sorry but l still had to pay the 20K!

I paid them, took my receipts and took my car but before leaving, l reminded him that what they did was nothing short of WICKEDNESS and it has nothing to do with upholding the law. I told him that he should not be surprised if someone else did some wicked to him or someone dear to him and that it would have been better if we all live a life devoid of this kind of behavior!
I could afford to pay right away but what if l couldn't? Would l walk home or go home by "Maaruwa"! when l came to Lagos in a confy-airconditioned car? [color=#990000][/color]

Rampant and random, unprovoked wickedness, now seems a way of life and its very pervasive in our society, from the Civil Servant, to the Police, Army, to Law Makers, Executive Arm, judges, Boko Harams, Bus touts, Kidnappers, Armed robbers, traffic hold-up thieves, ..even in an "educated and supposedly enlightened environment? (reading the case of the LASU final year Youth gunned down day-before yesterday!)


In my days, we would have laughed over it and make jest of him (woman wrapper! )

One man who was a "victim" of same LASTMA people commented off-handedly that "if he ever had the chance, he would run-over one of these guys" ...and l realized he actually meant it! I was shocked beyond belief!!

i totally feel you. Exactly the same thing happened to me in Abuja and I learned that in any way Nigerians have no inkling of kinship or unity. Try getting service where you are beside a foreigner and u will be shocked at the second class treatment that will be meted out to you by our countrymen. It is pathetic.

Lol Orochimaru will beat the second I am laughing in Swahili! The second can use space-time ninjustu, edo-tensei, genjutsu, an ocean of chakra, water based ninjutsu like a beast and he is a brutal tactician! I believe the 2nd is what describes the quintessential 'genius' in Naruto. Plus he is not a pussy.

And also to say that Itami died cos he was not smart is just speculative at best. Plus I would like to see Kakashi or Itachi stand 5 grown full sharingan users as 7 year old, never mind the fact that Kakashi lost an eye and an arm to ONE older jounin.

The next episode is about to be some filler-ious but believe it or not I was hoping for a rematch with the Sound-4 especially with Chouji as the badass he is right now. It should be a lot more interesting than Hashirama's story....


But I realize that there MAY be a logical explanation as to why the Shinobis of the day are so ordinary and lackluster in comparison with Ninjas of the past, especially from the days of the first. Because life was so freaking hard and dangerous those days, survivors had to be really hardcore and powerful. I bet a ninja like Kakashi would be so common compared jounins of that era. Since they were in a period of constant war and to-the-death fights, I believe it can be argued that Ninjas from that time honed their skills better and had a stricter and much less complicated motive to get better; staying alive. These 'modern' peace groomed shinobis are weak and indecisive because they have become too sheltered by their structured and orderly world. The price of peace is weakness, that's why today's badasses like Orochimaru, Itachi, Jiraiya and even the 4th Raikage would be food for chop if they faced the 2nd hokage one-on-one

It is sad mehn. If life is hard for these Chinese people that believe in working for 36 hrs in one day then I don't think my Naija folks have any room to be snide here, we have NO inkling on what their lives were like. @Ihedinobi, to me the flashbacks are pointless if they do not reveal some hidden truth or unsolved riddle. I don't think there's actually a case we don't or haven't been told by Tobi: It all involves Izuna, once we know what happened to him flashback is over and the much-ado ends up like before to be about nothing.

In any case I have to wonder if the 1st isn't being a tab bit selfish and wicked, seating there with his legs crossed and telling a story while the shinobi alliance fights and dies. And don't tell me he is a boss and will stop Madara whenever but the fact that his brother and the third are the only ones actually concerned about the dying ninjas of the alliance says Hashirama is either a douche or he is incapable of seeing the importance of other people less powerful than him. Say what you will about Naruto but he would have been outta there once he smelt the war.
