The fellow seems insane, he was already reported as very wild before his conversion. This shouldn’t be blamed on religion, the man was clearly unbalanced long before. |
Politics / Re: Enugu Has The Lowest Crime Rate - IGP by Parnassuss(m): 3:05pm On May 23, 2013 |
Odenigbo Aroli: There should never be crime in Enugu;Reason,There is no business there, hence,no money to steal. However, during the time of Nnamani Enugu was considered a death zone because of the political killings, which was rife, then. Like I pointed out earlier,Enugu should never have any crime issues because its mostly a civil servants and residential city. Ain't nothing to celebrate, here. Chime to me hasn't done much because all he did was to continue the beautification of the Coal city, which was started by Nnamani, while the rest of the state perish in abject neglet. But most Enugites are too naive to see the writing on the wall. Soon as they see a few beautiful pictures of Enugu city their head swell and they instantly forget that Enugu state is still 90% undeveloped villages. So long as Enugu city is fine the rest of the state can kiss the dust. Very gullible if you ask me. Enugites need to elect a governor in the mold of Peter Obi to deliver them from the shackels of their elites. I doff all caps to you sir, your darts have hit the mark. But there has been some development in Nsukka, though I have to say that it is still a long way off from reaching its potential. The rest of Enugu state really needs to be developed |
Politics / Re: MEND Calls-Off Planned Attack On Muslims, Mosques by Parnassuss(m): 2:57pm On May 23, 2013 |
If MEND has the good sense not to enba4k on a killing spree, all the better for them, the victims and all of us in general. I don't know about u but I don't hate group to the extent that I would wish them instant death. If we wish for sudden death on BH we are no better than they are, our strength over them is apparent when we rise from that gutter where they want to keep us. Remember what crowd mentality wroth in ALUU let us be better than savages |
TV/Movies / Re: Naruto Information by Parnassuss(m): 4:03am On May 23, 2013 |
For me the best thing about this chapter was Madara and Hashirama chat, they were so pumped up it was infectious. Also I remember a book of secret 'Hokage' tschniques which Naruto stole to learn the Tajuu Kage Bunshin from. I imagine once a person becomes Hokage the book is open for their use exclusively, that's why all four of these kages know this very seal which then begs the question, if Tsunade has such a powerful list of techniques at her disposal why doesn't use some? The fact that Sasuke sees absolutely nothing wrong with him wanting to be Hokage after killing Danzo is just tripping to see. Sakura will get a power up too now *facepalm* I know I demanded some jutsu diversity but pulling shit out of air doesnt do anyone any good. By that reckoning I expect Suigetsu to have an Orochimaru like back up power too, same for Shizune. This chapter was ok, simply because it sated my curiousity about what would happen. |

Funny coincidence, the JTF in Maid complained of a gang of car thieves operating in the city, it could be the same guys sef. Youu know, may be BH will usher in an era of a better policing in this country, lord knows they have the funds at their disposal now too. I pray they spend it wisely |

Politics / Re: Ombatse Militiamen Attack Herdsmen Again by Parnassuss(m): 3:14pm On May 22, 2013 |
Killing those guys...well as far as I am concerned nothing happened if the news is coming from the Fulani themselves. Why haven't the police corroborated their story or was the reporter too lazy to even vet the story? BTW, how can 3 herdsmen shepherd 1000 cows? Does this man see an 'L' on my forehead? He is the same Arrow that said that cattle is valuable than the lives of the slain Benue villagers so he should enjoy this cross he wants to bear. 1 Like |

Well its just a logical thing. Its as much to protect the actual innocents as it is to protect the combatants cause those checkpoints are enemy targets after all. 1 Like |
Politics / Re: Sanusi To FG: Dont Overspend On Military Operations, by Parnassuss(m): 9:23am On May 22, 2013 |
There is too much truth in what he is saying, America spent itself into one of the worse depressions in it's history through a combination of poor oversight and too much investment in the Iraq/Afghan wars. However, Lamido Sanusi does not get to be the one to say this, shey it is his CBN that claims they don't have records dating back 6years ago, and the they cannot account for N4B? Politics / Re: Jonathan Orders Release Of Detained Terrorists by Parnassuss(m): 4:44am On May 22, 2013 |
victorv12: Are Nigerians not tired of criticizing President Goodluck Jonathan? Why must we antangonize our president for showing clemency to fellow Nigerians? One thing we should all realize, if he fails, we'll end up losing . "President Jonathan Must prevail." I'm tired of critizing him! We should positively see how we can move this country forward. If he fails, Nigeria as a country as failed. God bless the republic!!! Please go to Maiduguri and move it forward. Go there and apply whatever skill u have because it surely in short supply, so don't be a hypocrite my friend lead by example |
Politics / Re: Jonathan Orders Release Of Detained Terrorists by Parnassuss(m): 4:37am On May 22, 2013 |
onatisi: Guy keep quiet abeg, this is NOT the first time GEJ will release BH suspects to emirs, governors and other religious teachers. That was actually the SSS policy up to a point but when they started rearresting people who had supposedly been rehabilitated they piped low on that one. Wait if releasing terrorist means he doesn't have an agenda would prosecuting them prove otherwise? Haba guy! Furthermore all those people saying that the government is releasing only women need ro read with glasses. The statement says the govt will release some suspects "including all women" not "only women". Gej is determined to have this country destroyed before 2015 |

Literature / Re: Is “Things Fall Apart” Really Chinua Achebe's Best Work? by Parnassuss(m): 11:01am On May 21, 2013 |
luvable sam: Nah it wasn't,I think 'Man of the people' is better cos av reed twice every year for the last 15years n I think the book still maintains its relevance in our society till date especially in tribalism n politics I am so happy for this thread, 'A man of the people' was exquisite but for me 'Arrows of the Gods' may be the best African novel I have read and among my top 5 best works from any author. AotG was just incredible in execution, style but most of in story. It was so tragic I think I cried at the end because for me, I felt pathetic for Ezeulu but more importantly I saw the degradation that came with colonial rule for the preset governmental structure. It was the best work Achebe ever did |

Bros think about it, IF NO RED FLAGS WERE RAISED HOW WAS THE ORANGE SELLER CAUGHT? Did the army just stand and start looking everybody in the face to see if they'd show signs of Boko Haram allegiance? Abeg credit people with some intelligence if you don't want to use yours |

Politics / Re: Jesse Jackson Backs Amnesty For Boko-Haram by Parnassuss(m): 4:08am On May 20, 2013 |
Whatever the case, he made a serious point on tackling the Boko Haram issue through constructive social measures, i.e. rebuilding and rehabilitation. Granting amnesty too IS an option but only if the BH come begging for it and lay down all arms. This Amnesty would then mean trying them under lesser charges than treason and murder in the 1st which are mandatory death sentences. On the other hand, Jesse Jackson blundered like hell when he said there are 'Buddhists' in Nigeria. Saying such a thing such that homeboy did not do his appropriate homework on this country |

Politics / Re: Achebe: Community, Church, Family Fight Over Body by Parnassuss(m): 10:09am On May 18, 2013 |
Any one who believes this bull needs a lecture on common sense. Why in the world would ANY tradition ask a woman to srink the water rinsed off a corpse? Abeg the punch got their information from some Nigerian movies and did not bother checking said facts. glimpse: Actually when it comes to burials the Umuada is even stronger than the men, they have the biggest say in whatever happens and their word is law. I doubt the umunna would even try to join words with them at that time. This is because the women use that time to harsh out their grievances and arguments from earlier times. Also let us not forget that in many traditions the world over burying chiefs with their slaves and wives happened at one time or the other. It is thus very belittling for the punch to carry one part of a culture from an ancient era and paste it as a current and common occurance. |
