KingEbukasBlog: This is a blatant show of Arianism ! Jesus was talking of his dual nature - being human and divinity . So that explains why Jesus said the father is greater than he is I am not denying the divinity of Christ. I am only saying what the Bible teaches, which is the fact that even in divinity, there is what you may reffer to as heiarachy or ranks. And if you still want to insist that the Son is equal to the Father, how then would you explain the following scripture: 1Co 15:28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all. |

KingEbukasBlog: Good question bro . I wanted to include that too but somehow I let it pass .
Jesus is a member of the Godhead and so he came down to earth in human form , conceived in Mary by the Holy Spirit - another member of the Godhead .
So Mark 16 : 19
means that Jesus returned to His glory as God - equal position, honor, power and authority with God(Yahweh) because they are one . He has fulfilled his mission on earth and has returned to take his position of divinity
So "right hand of God" just means equal rank , position , glory , honour , majesty . And the fact that Christ is "sitting" refers to the fact that His work of redemption is done and when the fullness of the gentiles is brought in, Christ's enemies will be made His footstool as the end of the age comes, all prophecy is completed, and time is no more.
cc : lalasticlala You see this is what I'm talking about. No matter how hard we try we CANNOT both scripturally and reasonably prove the Godhead is made up of eqaul and separate entities at the same time. You know what makes sense to ME? It's the ASSUMPTION that God is NOT eqaul to single personality identifier. The word GOD (to me) is an attribute that describes the NATURE of an entity and IS NOT the actual name of that entity. For example, the word "man" descrbes the maleness of both a father and his son. In other words, a fully grown son is "equally" a man just as his father is. But their equality in manhood does not make a son EQUAL to his father in the family ranks. Bringing it back to the topic, I think the Lord Jesus Christ is "equally" God in nature just as YAWH is. But still My Lord Jesus Himself is NOT equal to the Soverign Father. In fact speaking in the Gospel of John, the Lord Jesus himself said this: (Joh 14:28) "Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I" |

KingEbukasBlog: Thank You brother for your good contribution . But you realise that God communicates and reveals Himself to man in ways he would understand . Plus sitting is for a physical being - comfort , rest , relief etc and God is a spirit being and he's abode is in the immaterial realm Seriously, I think it's noble for humans to seek to know God. Yet I'm sure it's futile for us to want to have a perfect understanding of Him. Why? Because it's perfectly normal for humans not to have a perfect understanding of God. And even at the perfection of human nature we will still NEED an eternal dose of FAITH to relate with the Soverign God. So let's stop this generalization and human-driven interpretaions of the nature and attributes of God. That's why Paul warns about the danger of going beyond what is written. Let's allow the Holy Spirit do His job at INDIVIDUAL LEVEL not all these canned inertpretations trying to impose mass acceptance. God the Father is the One who is the SOURCE and SUSTAINER of ALL shades of eternity and dynamism. So, since He lives outside eternity and dynamisn how do we ever hope to interprete Him accurately with our finite and calculable intelligence? |

Islam is FIRST a system of GOVERNMENT but with ZERO separation of powers. - Political framework (caliphates etc) - Legal framework (sharia) - Religious framework ( islamic rites) - Social framework (islamic education) - Economic framework (islamic banking) - Militarial framework (jihad) These are the interwoven core components of islam. They call rampaging criminals feuding parties so where is d feud when the victims are systematically being wiped out just for being Christian farmers and owners of farmlands?
What about going in combat mode to arrest and prosecute the idiots called herdsmen who have overrun the place? What about even killing some of those rapists if they attempt to resist or return fire? How about immediately evacuating those opportunistic vagabonds so that those who have fled can be settled back in their homes? How about justice for the dead?

isbish: The simple reason why PMB's picture is removed from the candidates posters is beyond the haters comprehension. You guys because of hatred and vile on the President have lost all your sane sense of reasoning. His images on the posters are removed because even bad candidates use the Presidents good aura, personality and popularity to get votes. Buhari is a gem and larger percentage of good Nigerians know that, hence, the reason why bad politicians use his image to sale themselves.
Haven't any of you seen other parties using Buhari's image to even get votes. I have seen in my Village a Labour party Chairmanship aspirant use Buhari's pics in his Poster. What has Buhari got to do with Labour party? I guess sensible people will now see the reason better. They aren't removing PMB's pics because he is unpopular as you guys want to portray it. His pics are removed for the above stated reason. How can an obviously sane person like you CHOOSE to live in delusion? It beats me, man it beats me. And by the way, the labour party you talked about, was it during the general elections last year? Or was it in the ongoing reruns? Did that particular LP candidate that featured PMB in his/her poster get to win the election? Please answer the questions. |

tuale4u: It is very common to see IPOB sympathisers trying to Blakmail we south south by saying the word "South-South" only exist in Nigeria as a way of dividing eastern region. This is a big lie. The word south south as a way of grouping regions has existed in United nations as far back as 1978. It is united Nation recognised terminology.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/South%E2%80%93South_cooperation
I have never seen people so pathetic and emotional like IPOB sympathisers. IPOB supporters despite thier pride are willing to eat shit for south south people to Join them so also is the North willing to die than allow south south Join IPOB. The truth is dat neither Biafra nor the North love us. They both want our resources desperately.
Today South South in Nigeria have two states (Edo and Delta) from Old Western Region. I have never seen OPC/Yoruba people crying to high heaven how thier land/ people are being taken from them. Some part of Delta and Edo State speak yoruba. Most Chevron oil production is from "Yoruba" speaking part of Delta state.
If we can accept the word North, West, east etc which are white man creation, why cant we accept south-south which is also a white man creation or terminogy The source you cited is so pathetic no wonder your argument sounds so silly. |

Culture › Re: Making So Much Fuss About Eze Ndi Igbo by paschu: 9:01pm On Mar 09, 2016 |
kenny987: U misunderstand. The Republican nature of the Igbos basically means powers and laws originate from bottom up. There must be a representative whom family heads have endorsed which materialises as the Eze or Obi as the case may be. The implication is that a leader cannot unilaterally give an order or law to be complied with. The opinions of affected persons must be sought through age grades, family heads and so on before any law is deemed binding on the people.
That is why a really functional republican system will favour the Igbo man more because he is a man in his own right and no one can just give him an order without his agreement. He will respect the consensus representative of his people but not revere him as lord and master because he is trained as an individual to stand for himself and follow the leading of his chi.
The Ezendigbo in diaspora serves as a rallying point for the Igbos within an area. This helps d Igbos replicate their culture wherever they find themselves cos u cannot expect them to lose their identities just because they are outside Igboland. It makes communication and relationships between the Igbo and their hosts easier cos all residents will not go enmasse to address an Oba or Deji or Emir for instance. So the representative is a replica of the leader back home to also command as well as pay respect to the leader or ruler of the host community.
Essentially, he is not interested in usurping another's power but carries d mandate and interests of his people in that area. I seriously would love to know you better and personally, if you don't mind. Am sure sophia7989 won't get jealous. |

Nothing in this Country is worth wasting millions of lives again be it Nigerians or the so called Biafrans. Blood is blood. Again, the earlier people stopped deluding themselves that there can be secession in this Country without bloodshed, the better.
