Business / What Is 360° Digital Marketing Strategy? (and Why You Desperately Need One!) by pass4life(m): 2:33pm On Jun 20, 2016
Definition of a 360° Digital Marketing Strategy

You may be wondering:

“I’ve heard about digital marketing. But what exactly is 360° digital marketing?”

There are lots of digital marketing definitions out there. And I’m going to open this section with a definition from no other person than Lee Odden, CEO of TopRank Marketing.

According to him, he defined digital marketing as a term used to describe the integrated marketing services used to attract, engage and convert customers online.

That is, to him, digital marketing is utilizing multiple channels such as content marketing, influencer marketing, SEO, social media and online advertising to help brands connect with customers and uncover performance of marketing programs in real-time.

In my opinion, his definition is solid, but could use some clarity.

And the next definition (from us) will provide more clarity.

So, what is 360° digital marketing?

Drum roll please…

At Differentiate Online, we define 360° digital marketing as an integrated and holistic online marketing strategy that helps smart businesses create a 360° online presence for their company, products and services (brand) so that their target customers can know, like and trust them enough to buy.

To achieve this, we developed a 360° digital marketing framework that consists of 4 critical pillars of every successful digital marketing strategy...

Business / 16 Reasons Why Your Digital Marketing Is Failing by pass4life(m): 2:10pm On May 31, 2016
16 Reasons Why Your Digital
Marketing is Failing

As defined above [click on the link below to read our definition], these 4 categories: design,
content, traffic, and conversion make up our
[Differentiate.Online's] 360° Digital Marketing Framework. And under
these 4 categories are the 16 reasons why your
digital marketing is failing.

DESIGN Flaws:

The 1st reason is that your website is not
custom made. Your digital marketing is
failing because your online marketing tool
[website] is not creatively crafted to the
specification of your business objectives.
Meaning, your website does not look
appealing enough to your target customers
and that instantly communicates a wrong
impression that negatively impact your
brand.

The 2nd reason is that your website is not
user friendly. Your digital marketing tool,
website, needs to be user friendly and that’s
because it wasn’t created with the user in
mind. Meaning, your website is not easy to
use and understand which in effect turns off
visitors [potential customers] that visit your
site.

The 3rd reason is that your site is not mobile
responsive. Your digital marketing is failing
because your website is not designed with
mobile device users in mind; smart phones
and tablet users. Majority of your target
customers access the internet via their
mobile devices, having a website that is
incompatible on mobile, is a colossal loss of
potential customers.

CONTENT Flaws:

The 4th reason is that there is no story
selling. Your digital marketing is failing
because you are not creatively using words
to tell your brand story in a compelling
manner. Meaning, you are not using the
language your target market uses to
address their major problems and meet
their desired needs.

The 5th reason is that there is no brand
positioning. Your digital marketing is failing
because you’ve not created a niche for your
brand. Meaning, you’ve not been able to
position your brand in the minds of your
target customers. There is no uniqueness
and usefulness of your brand in the mind of
your customers.

The 6th reason is that there is no brand
differentiation. Your digital marketing is
failing because there is no established
difference of your brand in the marketplace.
Meaning, you are not communicating your
brand’s superior value proposition to your
target market.

The 7th reason is that there is no
competitiveness. Your digital marketing is
failing because you have no edge over your
existing competitors. Meaning, your digital
marketing content isn’t communicating the
competitive advantages your target
customers enjoy when they choose you over
existing competitions.

TRAFFIC Flaws:

The 8th reason is that there is no visibility.
Your digital marketing is failing because
there is little or no awareness of your brand
online, especially within your chosen target
market. Meaning, your brand is not actively
recognized by potential customers, and also
not visible on both search engines and
social media networks.

The 9th reason is that there is no lead
generation. Your digital marketing is failing
because you are not generating leads via
search engines and social media networks.
Meaning, you are failing to capture the
traffic that goes to your website into your
sales funnel.

The 10th reason is that there is no search
engine optimization. Your digital marketing
is failing because there is no search engine
optimization for your website. Meaning,
when potential customers searches for
solutions to their problems online via search
engines, your company doesn’t show up as
a solution provider.

The 11th reason is that there is no social
media engagement. Your digital marketing
is failing because you are not engaging with
potential customers through social media
networks like facebook, twitter, linkedin,
instagram, etc.

CONVERSION Flaws:

The 12th reason is that there is no
profitability. Your digital marketing is failing
because there is no increase in revenue.
Meaning, you are not making sales profit
due to lack of online leads.

The 13th reason is that there is no sales
funnel. Your digital marketing is failing
because your website does not serve as a
sales funnel or sales process that leads
potential customers on the buying journey.
Meaning, your website does not capture and
process potential customers into paying
customers.

The 14th reason is that there are no special
offers. Your digital marketing is failing
because your website is not communicating
the special products/services you offer to
the potential customers. Meaning, you don’t
offer promos on your product/service that
encourages your customers to patronize you
more.

The 15th reason is that there is no
customer database. Your digital marketing
is failing because your website does not
serve as a tool for capturing potential
customers’ information. Meaning, you don’t
have a collection of information about your
potential customers for effective
communication, follow-up and better
services.

The 16th reason is that there is no brand
preference. Your digital marketing is failing
because your brand is not creating an
emotional attachment with your target
market. Meaning, you are not using
strategic content marketing to build loyalty
with your business brand.

Autos / PRESS RELEASE: The Fictitious Charge Against Innoson Nigeria Ltd. by pass4life(m): 1:21pm On May 19, 2016
Our attention has been drawn to a news report published by various online media that the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has authorised the Attorney-General of Federation (AGF) to commence the prosecution of a Lagos businessman, Innocent Chukwuma, his company, Innoson Nigeria Limited, and four others for alleged forgery.

Ordinarily, we would not have dignified this news report with a response but in a nation where silence may be seen as an admission of guilt, we therefore come out to state the true position of things.

Although there is a charge pending against Innoson Nigeria Ltd, the charge is a trump up. To this end, the police have through its letter of 17th February 2016 discontinued the charge in order to further investigate the matter.

Also, Director of Public Prosecution of the Federation through paragraph 10 of its opinion referenced DPPF 30/03/2016 contained in the policy file of the Ministry of Justice directed that the charge be discontinued and the file sent back to the police to further investigate the matter.

The court never ordered or directed the Attorney General of the Federation to take over the case since and more importantly no court in Nigeria has such power over the AGF.

Already Innoson has over N15billion judgment in its favour against Guaranty Trust Bank (who is sponsoring the charge) in suit no Fhc/AWK/CS/139/2012, suit no Fhc/L/CS/603/2006 and Appeal no CA/I/258/2011 and Appeal no CA/E/288/2014. The charge is to blackmail Innoson and to force it to forgo the judgments sums of over N15Billion.

The futility of the charge and the fact that it is a trump is demonstrated by the following:

a) GTB kept and continues to keep a register where all its customers sign for every bill of lading it collected from it. Innoson signed for all the bills of lading it collected from GTB including the ones in dispute in GTB’s register. During the investigation and till date GTB failed and refused to produce the register on the ground that it was destroyed by fire that gutted its office;

b) In suit no Fhc/AWK/CS/139/2012 which was on excess and unlawful charges GTB imposed on Innoson’s current account with it, GTB raised the issue of forged Bills of lading but could not establish that and Innoson got a judgment in excess of N4.7Billion against GTB therein;

c) The bills of lading which GTB is parading as forged is not more than five and the goods imported with them is not up to N100Million. The question therefore is, how did the sum become N2.4Billion?; what are contained in the containers evidenced by the Bills of lading in issue that is worth N2.4Billion.

We therefore urge the general public to disregard the news publication as this is a smear campaign to undermine the integrity of Dr Innocent Chukwuma OFR.

Educational Services / Nigeria Education And Student Preparation For Life by pass4life(m): 3:35pm On Jun 08, 2015
Our children are the leaders of tomorrow. But with the kind of school system that is run in this country, how well are our students REALLY prepared for the realities (challenges and opportunities) of today and of tomorrow?

Being [young or] a student is both rewarding and challenging. And the challenges students’ face are tougher than they know and whether they like it or not, the choices they make to navigate through the challenges such as the deplorable state of our educational system can either make or break their future.

According to President Obama in the just concluding Young African Leaders Initiatives held at Town Hall, University of Johannesburg-Soweto, South Africa (The Guardian, July 2-July 4, 2013), he assert, ''In terms of human capital and young people, I think there is no doubt that the most important investment any country can make is educating its youths and providing them the skills they need to compete in highly technology advanced world economy—countries that do not do that well will not succeed. Countries that excel at training their young people are going to succeed.''

Base on this assertion by President Obama, most will agree that education is a means to human—personal, social, organizational and national—growth and development and it is fundamentally important to the success of our young students. But most of them struggle in our school system where they suffer in a mental and emotional toxic environment. They become the victims of a reality filled with low trust, adversarial relations, high pressures, and conflicting expectations. In fact, not only are they victimized by the environment, they are powerfully modeled by it. They begin to look at it and unconsciously absorb its obsolete and quick fix approaches and methods of learning—cramming their way through school, even through life—believing that life operates on a quick-fix system, where they end up becoming earners alone [rather than becoming learners as well.]

They develop a thinking that “there is no hope for me all I need to do is to earn my certificate and get out of this system or country,” believing that ideas do not thrive and rule in Nigeria. And with this thinking, most have lost hope about succeeding or making it in Nigeria as a student, even as a citizen.

Other issue is that, most of these students are not dreaming anymore. Those who read so-called lucrative courses graduates only to become beggars in the labour market; hunting for opportunities they are supposed to be creating from within themselves. Most are not willing to wake up to the responsibilities for their learning and lifestyle as well as their development and achievement—rather they expect to be spoon-fed throughout life. They don’t know that the power to revolutionalize their environment, to empower themselves and to see the opportunities calling for attention is within. Not to mention a student who will spend four or more years in tertiary institution only to travel abroad to wash plates all in the name of seeking for greener pastures. All these are as a result of ignorance—ignoring to learn and live the principles [of effectiveness] that govern the desired result [success that endures] they all seek in life.

What about the employers and business leaders who are in need of people who can think for themselves. People, who can take initiative and be the solution to problems, people who can build trust and get along with others, and solve complex challenges in teams without much supervision. Not to mention nations searching for that ONE individual who is unique and useful. That ONE individual who is an good reader, a great leader, a significant entrepreneur and a responsible citizen, who also have developed these traits to bring about change in his/her immediate environment and start in a little way to model the new Nigeria.

According to President Obama (The Guardian, Wednesday, July 3, 2013), he assert that, ''Countries that excel at traning their young people are going to succeed, because these days businesses can go anywhere. And one of the key criteria for any business is, where can I find outstanding workers? Where can I find outstanding people to manage a plant or manage my sales force? And if you have countries with high illiteracy rates or limited skills, you are going to have problems.''

Employers and parents alike know that, for the most part, our school system is not designed to consistently develop and unlock these vital human capacities. Because, the traditional three ‘Rs’—reading, writing, and arithmetic, the Basic Knowledge—are necessary, but not enough. What is needed is an Educational Resource Program [design with additional elements such as Applied Skills, Principled Behaviours and Integrated Tools] that is created with transformative and innovative approach, not created to COMPETE with the school system rather to COMPLETE like a ''newly wedded bride'' with the school system in educating the Whole-Person of young people by unlocking the potential [of every student, one at a time] to lead and live an effective [purposeful, passionate, productive and patriotic] life.

To me, of all the problems in this country, there are two not one God would allow me solve: The Education System and the High Rate of Umemployment.

If God would allow me, i would try as much as possible to re-egineer our education system by first bringing all stakeholders involve and creating a productive framework that will enable each district deliver a many-size-fit-all education required by its citizen.

Also to solve the high rate of unemployment, i will not only empower youths with enterprising skills, i will also create the enabling environment that support wana be entrpreneures.

My ROLE MODEL is Dr. Stephen R. Covey because he is my MENTOR and my HERO. And he mentored me through his books. He is my hero because of his BELIEFS that human growth, change and greatness is based on Natural Laws or Principles and it Starts With the Man in the Mirrio -- that is, Inside-Out process.

He is also my hero because every human performance starts with the individual to the interpersonal to the managerial to the organizational.

In his words: If you want to overcome your greatest challenge or achieve your highest aspiration, identify and apply the natural law that govern what you seek.

And every of my ideas revolve round this statement.

Politics / Re: Nigerian Youths Are Lazy And Don't Read - El-Rufai by pass4life(m): 9:27am On Oct 26, 2012
Look guys, whatever the man said is the truth.

Most of us youths don't read and this is as a result of the kind of school system we find ourselves. A system where you cram to pass and go for the certificate alone. Rather than learn to know and be ready for tomorrow.

With this, most youth have developed a belief that life operates on a quick fix or short cut to the top. Whereas life operates on principles of success.

Also the man that is saying that youths don't read and are lazy should not forget that he and others of his type contributed to making the youths belive that entring into politics is a way to make fast cash by looting public fund.

So sir, before you point a finger at the youths, remember that 3 fingers are pointing at you too.
Telling you to that you are three times the cause of why they the youths are lazy.

And as for we youths, lets try and get some sense out of nonsense. And remember that the change we are seeking starts form WITHIN.

God bless.

I agree with @Unicorn where he said that we should not argue but use this as a platform to share our knowledge on PL of our chioce. So that young programmers can join and learn from you.

As for me, i've left the programming world, but my choice was VB because it was easy for me to learn and master. And it was good for standalone systems. I tried Java, but it was too difficult for me. I also tried PHP with MySQL, these are good PLs. But i end up being certified as an OCP -- Oracle Certified Professional.

Right now i'm into social works and i'm planning to bring my knowledge on IT and integrate it with social works to make an impact that improve human life.

So guys keep up with your PLs and remember that NO PL is better than the other.

Not all men fancy cooking including me. But i do know how to cook.

So for those who know that they are going to get married should learn the habit of cooking (as i'm doing now) so as to be able to do that when your wife puts to bed (i can't wait to do that).
