Why are people concerned whether the wife is working or not, op knew she was working before he married her, maybe he needed a fulltime housewife that he can control.

Why marry when you are not earning enough. Love is not enough to sustain a marriage in the long run. Private school teachers are being exploited at the moment and you will have to look for an alternative means to make extra money.

Do not report her to anyone, you guys are adults and should sort issues out yourself.

so you mean to say that "pastor" that should be the one giving blessings to needy people, is the one selfishly asking for blessings for his own self?!?! why dont you ask your god to richly bless you, instead of lying to people that if they give you 2k he will richly bless them?!

lol, you xtians make no damn sense, i swear!

Brother Brownjay, its not like that, God can even bless you when you help me. Remember It is more blessed to give than to receive and the Lord loveth a cheerful giver.

Dear Nairalander,

I am so sorry for bothering but I need urgent help. Just N2k to take korope bus to work tommorow.

This afternoon, I had only 24k in my account and I was visiting a friend in the VI when I saw this Asian Vietnamese restaurant "The Saigon",
I honestly have a weakness for vietnamese food so I decided to go inside and eat something.
After eating, they brought the bill and I fainted, the total bill came to a total of N24,000.
Can you imagine, these people are reaping us of in our own country and not acceptable at all.

Now the problem is I need an urgent 2k to make up my transport fare from Ikorodu to VI where I work.

Please, help me so I don't lose my job as I have a wife and 6 children to feed and if I miss work I will be fired.

Sir/Ma, If God lay it in your heart, I will send you my account for 2k and my God will richly bless you. Sorry If i abused you before on NL.

Remember, the Lord Loveth a cheerful giver.

Below was the food that got me into trouble.

Nigeria, a country of more than 200million religiously unproductive citizens going cap-in-hand to beg Qatar, a country of only 2m+ people for investment.

Family / Re: Pastor Suspends Wedding Due To Bride's Family Member's Absence (Video) by PastorOlokonla: 10:54pm On Mar 03
LordIsaac:

If he starts beating her, and she runs to him for help, will he turn her away? When you are getting weded, the person joining you together will use the clause; “…by the authority vested on me as….I hereby pronounce you husband and wife..” It can be done under customary law and the courts. They chose church!

I know lots of legally wedded people who abuse their spouses and there is nothing the pastor who joined them could do about it.
They are both adults and the pastors cannot run their lives for them.

God has not joined them together.

If dey did traditional wedding with parental consent, God has joined them together with or without the church wedding.

They went under his authority, he may be liable for the consequences if he went ahead. My question is, weren’t all these addressed by the so called church before that day?

What authority and what consequences are we talking about?
After the wedding, nothing concern pastors about anything again na.

Why not. What God has joined together, let no man put asunder!

What are you talking about brother Silentgroper, today is Sunday, a holy day of the Lord, the only podium I mount is the pulpit to proclaim the gospel.

I am a holy man of God and you seem to have dirty mind.

I was only bringing attention to the firewood in the picture to sensitize and encourage Nlanders to cook more with firewoods.

Where did you even see backside in an innocent picture.

Repent from your silentgroping for the kingdom of God is at hand.

These people are already married, why subject them to further ceremonies and unnecessary costs.

Family / White Wedding Vs Traditional Wedding by PastorOlokonla: 9:29pm On Mar 03
There is this case involving a a brother at a popular Pentecostal church, this brother was disciplined and suspended in the chuch, his crime was that he visited a lady alone at her home which was contrary to the church doctrine.

Now this man and the lady in question just completed a traditional wedding and bride price was paid the previous weekend.

The reason for the suspension being that the couple were yet to do the "white weedding" so technically, according to the church were not yet fully married after the trado.

My argument at the time was that, once a ceremony had been performed and the bride's parents had received the bride price, handed the lady over to the man, they are fully married and any other church wedding or ceremony should be regarded as mere formalities.

What do you think? Is the church justified in suspending the brother?

What about our parents who had no "white wedding", are we saying they are not fully married if we decide to side with the church?

Naturally Men Don't Cheat and Can Never Cheat in any relationship.

No woman will ever be in any relationship with you if she has nothing to gain, know this and know peace.

Who makes the most sacrifice in any relationship?.
Obviously the Man.

Who enjoy the most in any relationship?
Obviously the woman.

If I extend my sacrifice and resources to other woman is that cheating as well?

Why do you think women don't want to share their man with anybody even your mother?
Isn't it obvious that because of selfish reasons.

I'll never stop saying it that any man who has the capability and willingness to marry more than one wife should never hesitate to do so. You will regret it if you don't

I totally disagree. Men and women cheats. I agree and do not see anything wrong with poligamy though but its too much headache.
Why the heck would i want to share my life and wealth with more than one woman.

Religion / Re: Can Prayers Transform Nigeria? by PastorOlokonla: 6:37pm On Mar 03
No it cannnot and was never meant to.

Evidence 1: It has never helped Nigeria the past 30 years.

Evidence 2 ; it is not helping Nigeria currently.

Evidence 3 : lots of countries who don't depend on prayers are actually doing well and in Nigeria, a prayerful country, an individual goes to give testimony in the church for being granted a visa to a non prayerful country.

"Insanity is doing the same thing and expecting a different result"

I fully expect to quote me and tell me "it would have bern worse than this without prayers"

China did not pray or do organized religion and the country is doing good and taking over the world. Praying for the country to change is just an emotional exercise and wishful thinking at best.

Kumuyi is wrong with the doctrine of sanction as the second work of grace. According to Kumuyi, Sanction is an instantaneous act like salvation where the root and urge to sin is taken away from the individual.

Kumuyi is also wrong on the doctrine of Restitution, according to Kumuyi, your salvation is not complete until you do your restitution which negatrs the doctrine of salvation by grace.

Kumuyi was wrong about television in the past but has recently allowed his members to watch TV. Its no longer the devil's box.

Kumuyi is wrong about "will of God in marriage" and the entire committee process. They are mainly his personal opinions not supported by scriptures.
