A massive 63.3 per cent of the UK population was found to be inactive, making it the eighth laziest country out of the 122 ranked. Meanwhile, Greece was seen to be the least lazy country in the study, with just 15 per cent of its people being inactive, the Daily Mail reports. Across the pond, the US is a lot less lazy than Brits may believe, coming 46th laziest. People were classed as inactive if they did not get around 2.5 hours of moderate activity per week. Malta was given the top spot for idleness, with 71.9 per cent of citizens classed as inactive, with Swaziland (69 per cent) and Saudi Arabia (68.8 per cent) rounding out the top three. Serbia, Argentina, Micronesia and Kuwait were all categorised as lazier than Britain, while the United Arab Emirates and Malaysia took the ninth and tenth spots. Overall, women ranked lower than men in the study, with the highest percentage of inactive women being discovered in countries where they do not tend to work like Saudi Arabia. The results of the survey are being revealed to coincide with the Olympic Games in a bid to help lazy people get active. source: http://news.peacefmonline.com/social/201208/128249.php |

OP, I feel your pain, it's absolutely called for. values and morals have lost their place and are constantly thrown to the gutters. often, the quest for materialism and adventure inveigles many young ladies into immorality. it's really sad. I've brooded about this several times and it's just hrt-rending. I've met teenage girls who brag about how many dccks they've sucked with impunity. many of them have no scruples about being laid anytime, anywhere. it's even more painful when you think of the fact that the so called girls from devout Christian homes, who have been nurtured all along with sacred religious creeds even do worse and unimaginable things. ask..''where and how did we get it all wrong''. virginty is fast becoming a taboo. they say it's old fashioned. it doesn't matter, blah, blah, blah..just to justify their lasciviousness. at 24, the average girl has slept with 4 men! wonder how such a woman will attain sxual contentment when she eventually gets married, how can she resist that inadvertent comparison between the man she eventually marries and her past luvrs even though such thoughts raid through inadvertently. . . teenage girls are currently on rampage, ready to trade sex for chicken feed. just evaluate and see how divorce rate soar in recent times. Infidelity from homes, offices, even in churches amongst supposed church workers! really wahala dey!anyway sha, if you can't beat them..... |
talking about this issue, I used to have the cake. I used to be very shy, reticent and cautious with words lest I hurt a girl. there used to be this pretty girl I had a crush on [in fact she would have been my first] . I just didnt know how to approach her. we attended the same church and I just kept my distance due to fear of rejection or being turned down. this lingered for more than 2 yrs! after ss3 exams, i decided to visit a friend of mine who lived about 3 street away, lo and behold when i got to their siting room, it was my gorgeous nubile I met watching a movie in my friends house. our eyes interlocked, my heart skipped 3 beats!, I almost ran back!however, I summoned courage to go in but my timidity couldn't even allow me say a simple ''Hi'' . she said hello first and i mumbled something that sounded like 'hello' sweating and panicking [goosh!]then my friend struck up a conversation..''this lady attends your church o!'' do you guys know each other ? he said. if I were a sharp guy, that line would have just been enough to carry on or take over from him and drop fine lyrics. but for where na! i was a chronic nerd! the girl then chiped in [perhaps in a bid to break the silence]..''yes I know him but he doesnt talk in church o!'' ] then I quietly told him that I know the lady very well ..i was only pretending because i cant just approach her nor do i know what lines to drop! . [pls note we attended a single s*x school, but some guys were smarter than others, my type belonged to the bottom of the chain when it comes to asking a lady out]. i asked him if he was dating her. he shook his head vigorously saying he cant date his neighbour..but that he can pave way for me..by letting her know i fancy her. this he did on my behalf and arranged for a date betweeen us [the girl and I] to be continued...[ I shal tell you all how I bungled my first date] ![]() |

in all parameters and scales of assessing well-being, quality of lyf, health indices, standard of living, satisfaction with living e.t.c - these factors have never and will never be solely based on high-rise buildings and physical infrastructures but what goes on in these buildings, governance, health policies, equitable distribution of wealth and overall - the gap between the rich and the poor. now, you judge based on the above listed factors, evaluate without prejudice, bias or jaundiced jingoist sentiment - u NL critics of western media masquerading as patriots. the fact still remains that NOT until the gap between the wealth and the poor is brought to a minimum, Africa, in-spite of colourful structures in doted settlements will continue to lag in what matters most. |

Onyocha: perhaps if they didn't gain admission,we could have seen them in LASTMA uniform.it's just the unruly behaviour inherent in many nigerians. wanton disregard and disrespect for the others particularly when a little power is bestowed on them. Lastma officials feel power drunk in uniforms, on the other hand, students believe they have veto power by virtue of their 'Union govt'. back in the days, some of them feel so drunk they label SUG cars ''Aluta jet'' and blare sirens like mopols . they word ''aluta'' alone make them poised for wahala.. ![]() |
