Do people actually think Ribery deserved it over Ronaldo that year? I know the criteria for this award basically means nothing as it always changes but if it is indeed an individual award, Ronaldo deserved it that year.

2013 was one of Ronaldo's best Calendar year production wise 69 goals and 17 assists in 59 matches. He was the best player through out 2013.

If we look at some of the years others won it ahead of Messi, I am certain we will find a year or two where Messi was statistically the best player but then, it's all about agenda...

Someone who used to have the best dribbling stats is now the 8th best dribbler in PSG. Neymar is making a successful dribbling every 21 minutes, Mpabbe is every 26 minutes while Messi is at distant 8th making a successful dribbling every 54 minutes. Also, his success rate is woeful at 50%.
