Jose should try starting all 3 i.e Martial, Rashford and Lukaku in one of our home matches just to see how well they work together cos we are going to need all 3 together in a big game at some point this season. Mata can sit on the bench for the experiment.

The thing is; if they all start and we find it difficult to get going or we are trailing by a goal or perhaps need a goal to kill off the game, our bench will be light in terms of game changers...You really don't want to have Mata /Lingard or the likes when you are chasing a game as the only options from the bench

With Martial out, we will be short of a potential game changer from the bench cos with Rashford and Mkhitaryan flanking Lukaku, it leaves us short of attacking options on the bench bar Mata and Lingard who I don't really rate. They can have Lingard and Darmian plus 65m pounds.
Meanwhile, I read Pogba wants Mou to go after Aurier, good player but it seems we've got that position covered with Valencia and Mensah.
I want us to go after a seasoned LB someone like Kolarov who can still get the job done and won't mind a place on the bench when Shaw is fit. Two of Smalling, Jones, Young or Darmian should be shown the door.

Martial proving doubters wrong especially those who were of the opinion that he should be loaned out...

After our match with Madrid, I make bold to say we need more of a LB and a RB (hopefully Aurier) than a winger...
We need a very pacy and fit LB and an able deputy for Valencia, I still don't know why we choose to loan out TFM now, should've been sent out on loan last season. Valencia and his swashbuckling style means we can do with an inverted forward/AMF on the right, Rashford or Mata but the left side is practically dead with Darmian who have since lost his attacking impetus and Martial who just can't do no right in the eyes of Mou.
With a player like Shaw, I think we would have caused Madrid more problems seeing how Valencia performed on the right...
Darmian should be used as a bargaining chip for any good LB/RB

I think Herrera needs to change his approach a bit now we've got Matic to cover the back 4, he needs to push up more often and take up more creative responsibility, he was too laid back in his approach today.

Oga ToyinDipo, nobody is saying Pogba discard his Dribbling skills, all folks want from him is for him to know when to play simple or when to hang on the ball, throughout the duration of the game, I didn't spot Kross try to do anything fanciful but his simple one touch passing along with Modric was a joy to watch.

Mourinho should have brought on Martial and pushed Rashford to RW to stop Carvajal and Marcelo from bombing forward.

What's happening here is just a phase, we had same scenario last season when we paid mega bucks for Pogba, some section of our fan base were against the price thus turned against the player for just about the whole season just cos the club didn't sign their preferred alternative (s) so it's only normal that folks here will tow same path but as the season progresses, it will dawn on all of you that Morata is here to stay and the sooner y'all realize that and support him, the better...

Against the top teams, we should go with a 3 man midfield but against weak opponents, I'd favor a 2 man midfield.

28 years old Matic on a 3 year deal is just perfect, at the end of his contract, if he's still good enough, we can extend for another year...Very good deal, Moyes would have easily handed him a 7 year contract...

Aurier is good but is he really a necessity at this point in time? I think not, with the way TFM has been performing in preseason and Valencia still being very much around, I'd have preferred if we strengthen other areas of the team, LB and a winger who can operate from either flank. Matic looks a done deal so, the midfield is sorted out.

One has to agree that City made the best improvements in th EPL. They made great signings in areas in which they were weak, kept all their good players and offloaded most of their poor ones.
It does not automatically translate to online success but they have won the EPL transfer window so far.

True that, with Walker, Danilo and Mendy, they've improved upon their fullback position however, I'm concerned about Pep and his tendency to want to overdo things, his team selection will most likely decide where they end up...

Herrera plays as DM, this allows Miki to play in the middle, I don't think a left back is really needed, with Darmian, Shaw, Blind..
There is need for good crosser of the ball from wing.

Shaw is injury prone and as per crosses, football has moved on from the period where we had traditional wingers, what we have now is more of inverted forwards, the full is entrusted with more attacking responsibility like whipping in crosses etc.

I think the pressure of playing for United is catching up with him, he will come good once he is able to shake it off, I'd love Mourinho to play him for the entire 90min against Valerenga to help build his confidence...
