Nysc is only useful if you'll need to work here in Nigeria. Even if you don't see yourself working in Nigeria anytime soon, remember one day, you might get a political appointment and then your nysc certificate will be needed.
As a UK guy you need to experience some Naija culture and life, this will avail you the opportunity. Like i'll advice anybody...try and work it to any southern/western states...my two cent!

I was indoors reading, chatting and nairalanding.

I took bread for breakfast(that should tell you there was no celebration) [/color]

lolz!!! Just like myself. I tried to prepare egg to eat with my bread for breakfast but somehow the reasoning i added was too much so i converted the thing to indomie sharply. Till evening took bread and drink ! Then continued nairalanding and chatting.

I was indoors all day, commenting on all interesting thread here on nairaland the whole day. Read some stories on facebook too. Then later in the evening, went out to get some drinks for dinner.
