Afam4eva: When i said that ugly logo can cause confusion, some people thought i was lying.
It also shows that APC has no ideology other than that they want to wrestle power from PDP. And there is an outstanding ideology in using 'umbulera' or chicken as party Logo. |

VALIDATOR: @jesu orobo, I do not think any school will accept you straight for a Masters Degree. You may be asked to first go through a graduate diploma (often called pgd). You did not specify your course of study.Neither did you tell us your career goal.It is difficult to give you advice now that you have given us very little information. Please tell us more. I think PGD is meant for those who are changing from ordinary degree that doesn't involve education, to make them qualify as an educationist in their course. |

bilms: @Garry, i don't live in ilorin, though i frequent. I have once posted about the state of the road like 2 years ago, but till date, the roads are bad. Very bad. Infact, if the close to 100m spent on bill board is spent on the road, it would have improved. Though, the road is federal and the people have been crying to the fg severally with no response. Is the road under construction or not? |
Politics › Re: Why Is The Osun State Govt Wasting Millions On Billboards? by PaulJohn1: 7:15pm On Mar 03, 2013 |
dayokanu: If you have paid attention in the past you would have noticed that Aregbesola was the one renovating the road.
I think its a good time in Nigeria when the billboard are the complaints and not the state of the roads if the roads were terrible he wont be complaining about billboard?
If you get home and see your house on fire, Is it your child sleeping inside that you would be bothered about or your picture frame?
http://www.osundefender.org/?p=73852 The road the being referred to is even a federal road that has been neglected for years. Now the state government is dualizing it and erected boards sideways and some guys are complaining. @Afam guy, you're damn an hypocrite, pretending to be factual on issues you're one sided which is the same thing u're good at complaining of, I'll advice you to be concerned about your ill governor who again is out of the country due to medical issues. Daily Times has just been informed that the Enugu State Governor, Sullivan Chime has been flown abroad again following complications on his health condition. Governor Sullivan Chime returned to Nigeria two weeks ago after spending four months in hospital abroad and since he returned, the governor has been incommunicado leaving speculations that his return in the first place was ‘packaged’ to show that he was still in control of affairs of the state. It is not yet clear the manner in which his movement aboard was arranged and to which hospital. Daily Times will be keep you updated on this Details later Culled from Daily Times |

tomakint: Wao this is 'political strategy' at play! In my own candid opinion, besides the 22 States the PDP are scheming hard to win, I think Jonathan will definitely win in Ondo and Oyo and get sizable votes in Lagos, Ekiti and Ogun States leaving out Osun as the odd one out as far as South-west is concerned! Getting a new VP is a wise move, and I am looking at the Katsina Governor as the new replacement That, the PDP don't know. And even outside Osun, PDP can't get up to 1/4 in any S/West state(ondo excluded) |
Politics › Re: 2015: PDP Leaders Move To Dump Sambo by PaulJohn1: 10:10am On Mar 03, 2013 |
It was also gathered that Jonathan’s strategists have not lost hope on their plan to ‘capture’ the South-West in 2015. It was learnt that they are targeting Osun and Ekiti States. I think Jonathan has forgotten Osun was the only state in the federation he(Jonathan) and his party(PDP) had Zero percent victory and the only state A.CN won all electable position in the last general election. "It is easier for PDP to win Lagos than Osun"- mark my word. |

Politics › Re: Osun People:do You Think Engr. Rauf Aregbesola Will Go For 2nd Term by PaulJohn1: 8:39pm On Feb 25, 2013 |
I think he will. I'll like him to complete his good work in the state. Was in Oshogbo last week, mehn the construction and renovation going on is impressive. Seeing the governor's impact in construction of schools, roads, bridges, stadium, first flyover in the state(saw the model), modern market(Ayegbaju, Aje and trade fair) with the beautification of osho center(I.e. Oke-fia, Alekuwodo, Estate, ring road) made me think Osun has never had any governor in the past Wish him best of Luck in 2014 But I'm curious who'll be PDP's flag bearer with good integrity and excellent record to challenge Aregbe in 2014, could it be Omishore or Oyinlola Still can't see any matchable candidate Ipinle Omoluabi A Dara! |

Politics › Osun Acquires Helicopter For Aerial Surveillance, Emergencies by PaulJohn1(op): 9:13pm On Feb 14, 2013 |
As part of its determination to make Osun inhospitable to criminals, the state government has acquired a helicopter to beef up its Swift Anti-Robbery Squad (SAS) in the aspect of aerial surveillance. The helicopter, a French Five-Plus-One passenger Eurocopter AS-355N, is a 2006 Model with twin engines. A statement by the Director, Bureau of Communications and Strategy in the Office of the Governor, Semiu Okanlawon, explained that the latest security acquisition, under a Lease agreement with OAS Helicopters, Lagos, compliments the state’s investments on adequate protection of lives and properties of the citizenry.
Last year August, the state government launched the Swift Action Squad outfit with five Armoured Personnel Carriers (APC) and 25 patrol vans. It has since acquired another set of 100 patrol vans to ensure that all nooks and crannies of the state are covered. The helicopter is also to provide emergency services for the Osun Emergency Management Agency and the O-Ambulance in cases of medical emergencies and other forms of evacuations.
At the launch of the SAS in August last year, the Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, promised that the government was working hard to ensure aerial surveillance which would make it impossible criminals to escape out of the state the moment any crime is committed. The Governor had explained then that once the state is well-secured from the activities of bandits, the state would become attractive to investors, thereby catalyzing rapid growth of the economy. http://premiumtimesng.com/regional/120340-security-osun-acquires-helicopter-for-aerial-surveillance-emergencies.html

Politics › Construction Work Begins On 100km Road In Ogun by PaulJohn1(op): 11:44pm On Feb 11, 2013 |
Construction work has begun on the 100-kilometre Ilara-Oja Odan road in Imeko Afon Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The state governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, on an inspection visit to the site yesterday, commended the pace of work and promised to construct an additional 1kilometre road linking the Ilara town to the neighboring Republic of Benin, as requested by the community during the inspection.
He reiterated the commitment of his administration to open up the rural areas through massive road construction.
He said access road was crucial to economic empowerment, hence the determination of his government to devote resources to the road subsector.
“You need good roads to get your farm produce to the markets within and outside your local council and state. Everybody needs excellent road network to save productive time, reduce stress, accident and other losses associated with bad or lack of access roads,” Amosun said.
The road, according to the governor, will be of Ogun standard, complete with median, drainage, among others.
“This is to guarantee safety of commuters and prolong the life span of the highway,” he said. The people of Ilara in the neighbouring Benin Republic, who trooped out in large numbers to receive the governor, expressed gratitude to the Senator Amosun-led government for ending their distress. The governor made stop-over visits to communities along the 100km highway and exchanged pleasantries with residents.
Amosun had earlier inspected the proposed international standard Lafenwa-Aiyetoro Road to have an overview of the Right of Way and other features that could be accommodated by the highway. http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/construction-work-begins-on-100km-road-in-ogun/139014/ |
