Mehn! Dude is rich. |
olatunji21:I've had this little doubt about the guy's intelligence in governing a place like Lagos since I first saw his picture online. But it's damn glaring the dude got no much clue. The deputy(Adebule) doesn't look any better too. God knows sha, one shouldn't conclude yet. As it is now, some LG chairmen might be better off than this present Lagos governor. |
tpiander:Edited. Does it matter? |
mkoabiola:And don't you think #200 entrance fee is unreasonable for such tourist attraction. It ain't for charity mehn ![]() When the freedom park in Lagos Island that has nothing attractive aside some sculptures, trees and some unkept ponds charges its visitors #200, then you expect a privately managed Erin Ijesha fall to be accessed with same #200. That's less than a dollar. ![]() Left for me, nothing less than #2K for adults and #1K for kids should be charged after the renovation. ![]() Better still, adults should pay #400 for each fall they visit and kids #200. Erin-Ijesha got 7 falls. |
Original Poster: RT(Russian Television) The part he said "I'll slit your throat" doesn't sound cool at all.

Why are all the presidential cows black? Presidential cows must be rude. The GCFR had to run after them to control them. @ last pix |
Even though I respect and support his pro African spirit, but no sane patriotic African would rule his people for 30 years and threat his citizens seen as opposition or questioning his leadership as animals. Same as Gaddafi. He did much for Libya, but was a dictator and lots of heads of Libyans rolled to remain in power. A true lover of Africa and Africans won't kill his African brothers for any reason. Incase we've forgotten; one of the reasons Nigeria never supported Gadaffi was because of how he talked ill of the nation several times before his death and how he wanted a divided Nigeria. That's act alone ain't pro African. Gaddafi and Mugabe only preached being pro African, they never practised it. |
I don't get. Are they supposed to turn sadist because they visited parents of kidnapped kids? |

Not a very good atmosphere for civilized humans. Life there is too casual. |
This party better stop being an extension of the major opposition party if it's really serious about being a relevant opposition. As irrelevant as KOWA party was in the just concluded general election they had a presidential candidate. |
Their kins residing in that state shouldn't see this appointment as an avenue to make unnecessary noice and boast in an annoying manner to the locals, but give them the due respect they deserve for the betterment of the state and the people at large. |
Better choice over having the likes of Wike or Fayoshe as Party leaders. I doubt if the G will be able to deliver his state for the party in the coming gubernatorial election. No more federal backing; plus, the federal governing party produces two of the three senators and majority of the House of rep members in the state. |
bukster:Well... Let's say they developed colony nation they settled in like those you listed above, unfortunately Nigeria doesn't seem to be one of them. |
ROSSIKE:We should also give Nigeria the time to develop, since you have the opinion that Brazil had a lot more time to develop. Let's say around 2 centuries(1822 till date). You've buttressed my point that says those infrastructures built pre-indepence were built for the exploitation of what we've got and not for the advancement of our nation, this contradicts your sole purpose for this thread ROSSIKEWhites colonising us shouldn't necessarily translate to our advancement in anyway. |
They didn't colonise any nation to make such nation advanced, but to get the best of her minerals for the betterment of their people. It's left for the colonies to manage infrastructures put in place for the extraction and trasportation of what they came to get. BTW, our longest railway line today (Kano-Lagos) and our most functional seaports were built by them. China and Brasil were never advanced when they got their independence. It's a different story today. Remeber, same UK also colonised the US. |
Hope that G represent my people of Oshogbo well sha. |
In the good interest of the people of all tribes in Delta, the governor should kindly dissociate himself from supporters championing favouritsm of a group over the others. The results of the doing otherwise are always never good for parties involved. |
It became obvious the write up is a mere propaganda when I read this. National Mirror also gathered that there is disquiet among senators and House members from the South West, who are not comfortable with Tinubu’s overbearing meddlesomeness in National Assembly affairs.Does the writer imply that SW lawmakers elect don't know Prof Yemi and Femi ain't from same state? Yemi is from Ogun while Femi is from Lagos. |

awoononi:Was the African-american guy forced to perform in the charity fight? If no, then it's no racism, but two grown men who agreed to give their quota in form of a fight to help doctors in developing countries perform surgeries to restore vision in people with curable blind. BTW, it's nothing serious from the pictures up there. |
Osun A Dara!!! |
The All Progressives Congress, APC, has won 24 out of the 26 legislative seats in Osun State. The result of the Saturday’s House of Assembly election announced by INEC on Sunday showed that the PDP won the remaining two seats. According to INEC, APC won in Boripe/Boluwaduro, Ifelodun, Ila, Ifedayo, Irepodun/Orolu , Odo-Otin, Olorunda, Osogbo, Atakunmosa-West and East, Ife-North, Ife-South and Ilesa-East. The APC also secured victory in Ilesa-West, Obokun, Oriade, Ayedaade , Ayedire, Ede-North, Ede-South, Egbedore, Irewole/Isokan, Iwo, Olaoluwa and Ejigbo. INEC said that the PDP won in Ife Central and Ife East. Governorship election was not held in Osun as the incumbent Rauf Aregbesola of the APC was sworn in for a second term last year having defeated Iyiola Omisore of the PDP. My second "homestate" that I fear for most delivered. Awesome mehn.. ![]() |
The only threat against Amosun's reelection before last month's presidential and senatorial election was Osoba's SDP, but seeing how the party was beaten black and blue with two sitting senators of the party sent parking by Amosun's APC, it's almost certain it's SIA till 2019 in the gateway state. Omo Ogun Ishe ya.!!! #OsunAdara |
CFCfan:Very bad of the guy. He cares more about beautification and real development which I've seen in the city than the state worker's welfare. He should balance development and workers' welfare. Plus, he never sound apologetic anytime I hear him speak. ![]() CFCfan:I doubt that. The incumbent has a very high chance of winning, he'll have the highest votes and he's like the only guy that can get 25% votes from any of the LGs in the state. Others might win in their strong bases but perform very woefully outside their hoods. |
MizzD:This doesn't work at all times if the owing governor knows how to really play politics. Aregbesola of Osun is an example. This guy has this damn strong support base that totally excludes the state civil servants, such that if he owes the state workers a year salary and he contest, he has a very high chance of wining. Few months to the guber election in Osun last yr, he owed workers some months salary and rushed to pay them some weeks to the election, he had over a hundred thousand votes to beat his closest rival. Aregbesola is oweing close to 5 months salary as at now, yet he was able to deliver the state for all APC candidates except for one or two house of rep seats which is around Ife axis(PDP strong hold). GMB that he campaigned for in all towns and villages in Osun got around 380K votes, around 20k lesser than what Aregbe himself got when he won last yr's election. This is to tell you how strategic the guy is. Unlike Mimiko of Ondo, Susuan of Benue and Kogi state governor that couldn't win their states for their party(PDP) because they are not in good term with the state civil servants. NB: Osun is the number 2 state with highest numbers of civil servants and pensioners after Lagos in the federation. My point is that the civil servants are no threat to the reelection of any smart governor in Nigeria. Though I don't support owing workers. ![]() |
Just a vote! Ain't no one from Borno on this forum?! |
Gbawe:Same divisive technique they used in Osun gubernatorial election, it was about religion then. I still have the handout with me. Thank God it failed. You should have heard of one pastor Bosun tape like that, same divisive content. And I'm very excited they've all failed. It was doctored to reduce APC's victory in the SW at the presidential election. Here are some failures they've recorded; *Ondo state is a christian dominated state, APC won the presidential election and two senatorial seat. *Ekiti state that has over 75% Christian population, APC got over 40% votes at the presidential election. *IJesha/Ife district of Osun is a christian dominated area, APC won the presidential, senatorial election and the guber election we had last year. One expected the PDP to win Lagos at the presidential election with these calculations they made us to believe. *Immigrants(mostly Christians) + 40% of Lagos Yorubas who are Christians to give them at least 60% victory. Yet they got below 45% when the result came out. ![]() They are bound to fail again for Lagos guber election by God's grace. |
omenka:No be their own again? ![]() |
