...The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has listed the defaulting states as Anambra, Ebonyi, Plateau, Kwara, Kebbi, Niger, Osun, Enugu and Zamfara.

I should be present, hope I won't forget the date.

...Andrea will discuss interesting topics such as: How America Builds – Overview of the American Housing Industry and its Processes, Products, and Procedures; Land Planning and Site Development; Modern Ways of Property Appraisals; Business Management for Building Professionals; Advocacy & Government Policies in Housing Delivery
Receiving lectures on the bolded part ain't bad but I think they're not really useful/applicable to Nigerian buildings/designs.
Factors to be considered in designing, type of materials to be used, climate, available materials etc, makes the difference.
All these foreign deign construction team will only deliver what's applicable to countries they're from and not about what's on ground here.

OP, thanks for the info though and how much is to be paid for entrance?

Abagworo: You missed the point. I'm not an Ijaw but my use of the word "scattered" was in reference to balkanization. They just occupy the coasts of the litoral States.
Never in my post did I classify you as an Ijaw man, I used the word "they". Your conscience must be hyperactive cheesy

It'll be preferable if the cheerful giver around them can cede their land(I.e. Onitsha, ph, imo, asaba or uyo) to them grin , remove Ondo from your list grin cool
Eshe, Adupe smiley
Politics › Re: Ijaw Deserves 1 Or 2 More States by PaulJohn1:
Abagworo: Not so hard to figure out. You cannot scatter 14 million people everywhere while people of 30million have 6 States. Maybe the figures is wrong anyway. But since it is accepted at the moment that Ijaw is up to 14million, then Bayelsa should not be the only all-Ijaw State.

Better still we might just abolish States and use complete regionalism and creating homogenous districts instead of LGA's. The districts will receive the 13% derivation while the Regions receive the monthly allocations. That way the 13% will go directly to the Ijaws and the oil producing districts.
Questionable 14 million grin
If they(Ijaws) don't want to be scattered, the best option for them is to all move to their sparsely populated origin(Bayelsa) and divide it to whatever numbers of states(4,5,7...) they like. The main thing is to have more than a state so as to feel among abi grin
Stealing other people's land is not an option cheesy grin
Politics › Re: Is Okorocha Becoming A Disappointment? by PaulJohn1: 10:21am On Jan 03, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: ... Instead of the white elephant agenda, Okorocha should address concrete issues such as education, roads, urban renewal, potable water and health care. Job creation strategy must include efforts to revive moribund industries, attract newinvestors and encourage local production.
How come this forum was flooded with Rochas this and that throughout last year. With praises from threads created to display pictures of noticeable development(I.e. Construction of roads, bridges, schools ....) in the state plus the ones telling us how he subsidized or made education free in the state up to the tertiary level.
He Was even rated one of the best governor in the country by his people on this forum.

Are all these false or the writer is a paid fellow to castigate is work? What's up?

What a ridiculous question.
Which is more vital Lagos or the FG?

Why not first ask the FG what substantial the subsidy whatever has been spent on for the betterment of Nigerians.
Wasn't it of recent a proposal was made to borrow another huge amount without nothing tangible to show for it

Obsession with Lagos is making some fellas look ins.ane permit me.

Heard of the Seme border in Benin? before cotonue the capital of Benin is a famous market, thanks to the road link.
The same is going to happen when that of the one linking Cameroon is completed.

I'm not disputing that. I'm saying you guys are hiding something, no wonder you people haven't made it official and let's know when production will start like Lagos did.
Politics › Re: Lagos Oilfield To Start Production In 2014 by PaulJohn1: 8:31am On Jan 02, 2013
ypzilanti: Two of the most livable cities in Nigeria are Calabar and Enugu. They are not oil producing states. Cross River had some oil before the supreme court ruling, but not much.

Prior to Fashola's term in office, Lagos had refuse piled high on the streets and armed robbers had a field day in Lagos. Good governance is the answer, not oil.
I understand, this development is giving you a strong headache, running tommy and killing you softly
keep it up

alj harem: I hope this is not surprising. I have told those bigots and Dalover that Lagos, Ogun and ondo have oil but we don't let that dictate the way we think.

Crude oil in Festac, Badagry, VI and makoko. It is called maturity.

This might make Lagos the most important City in Africa.
5th economy in Africa(on her own as a country)
Most populous city on the continent
Housing more than 70% of country's industry(banking, telecommunication etc.)
And now oil shocked

Damn, that's too much concentration. kiss

Career › Re: Responsibilities Of Civil Defence by PaulJohn1:
The police are meant to calm critical situations with the use of minor arm(s).
Civil defense I think as it sounds "Civil" » relating to human, polite, connected with ordinary citizens and organization as opposed to armed forces

Nigeria civil defense was managed by a private firm for interested people who voluntarily joined without been payed. The FGN later brought them on board as a federal character to ease the NPF of some duties and help in calming situation amidst civilians within cities and towns without the use of arm.
If things are in the way they should, police are to be seen on rare occasions in the cities while the presence of civil defense should be felt more.

Career › Re: If U Can Start Schooling Over Again, will U Change Ur Course??? by PaulJohn1: 12:28am On Jan 02, 2013
Most jobs today don't require a specialist, they're just what a right thinking person with his/her senses can do.
As a graduate, going but to school as an undergraduate is not an option. What you're going back for to study might be what a person from another field is doing fine at as work even without ever having the experience.
This is not applicable to all professions though.

If going back is to have a better record(fantastic CGPA) then fine. Also to have an edge over others as per experience, it's good.
