For the academic staff to go on an indefinite strike over that is irresponsibility and is tantamount to blackmail. The governing council acted right to fire them for dereliction of duty.

If academics disagree on the a decision of the governing council of the institution, why cant they challenge it in court like civilized people who pride themselves as learned folks. Why disrupt the academic calendar of the institution and learning environment for students? On what justifiable ground was this strike? Did the college violate a labor agreement?
