Family / Re: Should I Expose My Wife's EX? by PaulSteve: 11:08pm On May 27, 2017
OP,becareful whose advice you take here. Such posts as yours it isn't the comment with the highest number of 'likes' or 'shares' that is right, but the one that proffers solution to your problem.
I believe from your post that what you want right now is to save your marriage,to keep your union, and if I may ask,for what reason? If your answer is you are keen on keeping your union because you have kids with her,or because deep inside it's a shame losing your woman to another man, then I'll say your choice of keeping the union is unhealthy for all of you.
If otherwise (i.e. Love for her) is reason why you want to keep the union, then you've to act right henceforth..
Forget bursting that guy, you'll further damage the situation if you do,his wife might choose to stick with him despite your claims and you end up ridiculed.
It's possible your wife had flings with her ex,yet chances are more than 50% she didn't,she could have said those things only to spite you.
The only thing that makes for great suspicion is her preference for her ex instead of a friend, relative or inlaw in discussing her problems, including her matrimonial.
Have a talk with her about 'third parties' in your marriage of which 'ex' is way outside the lines. Draw the boundary,no contact with 'ex' in any way,the that rule is broken, you both will do the needful.
Pls,don't nag by recalling all she ever did, calling ex,changing his identity on her phone etc.

So [/b]
Thank God for us. Had similar experience today.
Yesterday I went looking for FedEx office over a different parcel, but the description I was given led me to a property shared by DHL,UPS and one other courier service. So I went to the UPS office and inquired where FedEx office was, they gave me direction. But before I left,I asked them how much it'll cost me sending documents of about 30 pages to Germany, the man then asked if it's for studies and I said yes, so he responded N13,500. I then told him I'll be back following day.
Today I went there with the documents and when it was weighed (0.5kg) he said it's N18,500. I exclaimed 'but you remember you told me N13,500 yesterday and I said I will come back and you'll give me discount'. He now said he didn't remember, but even if he'll give discount the cost will be N15,200. I smiled and turned to the female staff beside him and said to her but she was there when he said N13,500. He jokingly asked her if she remembers and she said she wasn't paying attention. So,I told him that I was even there with only N11,500 thinking it'll suffice,he then said 'nooo',that if at all they'll give discount I should pay the N13,500. So I ended up paying the N13,500.
So why I wrote this long gist is I believe there's competition among them (courier service) and perhaps another strong reason that makes them charge students far less.
#those who still have packages to send should shine their eyes well!
Goodluck to us.

Bro go back to the school website and carefully study the profiles of the faculty supervisors and learn their research interests. Look for their published works and read. Then contact each of them and suggest your own research topic which should be relevant to their works. When you get a favorable reply, you can then elaborate on your research proposal and apply. I hope that helps, best of luck
Thanks, you really nailed it nicely, this suggestion surely is a wise way around.

I don't really know much about that. I think you were suppose to contact a supervisor in the school first who would supervise you.
Thanks for the response. According to the information available on the school website the Research Proposal forms part of Admission Documents and until after submission of the documents that if there's a Professor who has indicated interest to supervise the project that I can be considered for admission. Pls if you think there's anyone on this platform or elsewhere who can help me get what am seeking kindly assist. Once more, thanks.

Hmmm... So we started from the bottom, now we are here....
I remember how I shared my stories of challenges in part 1, and testified in part 2, so shall all who have ever posted in part 2, share their testimony of rejoicing in this part 3.
If that is your portion click "like".
Pls can you respond to this?
I laud the great job you and others are doing. I need your kind counsel.
I have tried reading Parts 1,2 and now 3. Although to be sincere I didn't read through all pages but can say per part I covered about 70% of pages.
I am applying for Ph.D Environmental and Resource Management at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg. In my research proposal can my project be analysis of samples (soil, plants and water) collected from some industrial sites in Nigeria? Or must my research be carried out somewhere in Germany? Thanks as I await your response.

It is wrong to condemn OP over his anger and expressions. We are humans and only few will easily overlook the misappropriation of funds as experienced by him.
I wonder why people here are picking on him and asking him to apologise, for what really? For stating the obvious?
@OP,you don't have to swallow just anything and everything in the name of marriage please.
Your wife apologised for misuse of funds by her mum,why then did she go and stay days before returning home?
You should man up and address issues now before you are faced with greater ones tomorrow and lack the pedestal to confront them because you didn't address them previously.
Call a meeting of both families along with your religious leaders (eg. pastor) to address this issue,if your wife and mum persist in thinking they were right,my brother don't force yourself on her,get a divorce!
Never let someone treat you like trash, cause you are not and there are millions out there that will love to treat you like a king!

This is so touching
The landlady is a wicked fellow
Don't say the landlady is a wicked fellow. Didn't you read where it says they had quarrel and the landlady went to the police? The police charged the woman to court. Landlady only did what a civil and law abiding citizen will do,it is better following due process than taking laws into one's hands,if that quarrel had degenerated into a fight and finally loss of life it will be a different matter entirely.
One submission would have been that the magistrate shouldn't have sent her to prison, but even with a bail of N50,000 and sureties the woman couldn't meet,it is indication that the woman and her husband probably don't relate well with family, friends and neighbours!
Let us relate well,it pays.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Getting A Federal Job Through Federal Character Commission by PaulSteve: 7:43am On Mar 19, 2017
Federal Character Commission can help you secure job (by placing you where your services are required and where your state has vacancy) provided your CV is with them.
But the problem now is the need for 'connection' (Godfather),and it is exactly why as a country we are failing..
However, some without anybody but God have gotten job through this same avenue.

Politics / Re: How To Report Corruption With FG Whistleblower Programme by PaulSteve: 7:32pm On Feb 13, 2017
jamace:

Fellow Nigerian, I think whistle blowing is a noble act of patriotism and should not be taken as a business for profit.
Yes,it is supposed to be act of patriotism but in present day Nigeria where the entire system is soaked in corruption the blower needs protection that only money can supply. Else, why the idea of 5%,it may as well be pegged at 0%,just patriotism.
Politics / Re: How To Report Corruption With FG Whistleblower Programme by PaulSteve: 9:32am On Feb 13, 2017
My opinion is that the whistle blowing initiative is a very good one in the fight against corruption and in our drive to retrieve stolen funds. However, the 2.5-5% reward promised the whistle blower is low, very low. It makes the target of the initiative those who stole only in billions and hundreds of millions, not the lesser millions and tens of millions.
If this approach is to gain great results, the percentage of the whistle blower has to be raised to atleast 10-15%, then when someone has proof of stolen N5M,the individual can be sure that whistleblowing will fetch at least N500k,not a meagre amount.
And there are many corrupt acts in few millions to hundreds of thousands of naira that will interest people to report on.
Finally,a whistleblower protection law should be enacted!

You are 26,her husband left her over 8years ago meaning her youngest child should be 8 and oldest may be 10. You should be 16 years or less older than her first issue. Age they say is number but managing wards that aint yours and who are slightly younger than you won't be easy.
No advise we give on Nairaland will change your mind, but whatever you arrive at,do not jettison your family, the least you can do is persuade them to respect your decision. Beside, if you find a good paying job I assure you that your perception of women, relationship and all that will change. Kindly channel your energy now toward self empowerment.
