banio:There is nothing wrong with the State empowering her people with knowledge on how to go about certain productively. If as a civil servant l get to learn how to grow lettuce, capsicum, cabbage, cucumber etc which are brought in from outside the State, that 2 days off will be more meaningful as what l will earn from the sales of my harvest would outstrip my salary but since one has an option not to farm, he/she can opt to relax at home on those days off as that will not affect his or her salary at the end of the month. |
lanre2009:I doubt it is on Youtube. The Kenyan guy who constructed it did invite me to go along with him where he was to construct one, so l could video record the construction but l never followed op because of my schedule. |

“As we talk, the food we consume in the state like rice, yam, tomatoes, pepper, and livestock all come from the north. “If they (north) decide to cut the food chain, we will be in serious problem,“ the governor said.........It proves the State Ministry of Agriculture have been idle for the past 5 years, it is not as if the State do not have rice growing communities! ![]() |

obstead200:When at full maturity, it is. I ask did it with butternut squash, bought it same day with the cucumber (23rd December 2015) and cooked it first week of July, 2016. |

BobUg28:Get a cash register and CCTV then you will feel a huge change in your operation. I do shop for Plantain, Okro and Scotch bonnet (Ata rodo) in an Indian owned store in Nairobi though the size of store is about 20ft by 20ft, it has CCTV installed and payment is made at the cash register as the Indian woman or her daughters are always behind it. |

"There is nothing that is cultivated or produced in the state. All the things we eat like tomato, pepper, cucumber, groundnut and others things are produced in the North. Think of a situation where the northerners decide to stop supplying us with these edibles, what happens?” Not just tell them to go and farm as he has a responsibility to see that the State Ministry of Agriculture empower Imolites with the knowledge of how to productively grow these crops, make hybrid seeds easily available for people to buy then post handling and value addition. |
lanre2009:It did before l caved into the temptation of juicing it. ![]() An under 20 degree room temperature extends its shelf life. Our farmers can have this constructed to store their cucumber for weeks while they wait for buyers. It only needs water poured into the PVC pipe so it soaks the jute bag wrapped round it in order to keep the inside cool.

It is cheaper to learn from others' bitter experience. |
“Mostly, top government officials use their influence to buy from the CBN in the name of going abroad for official assignment,” he further alleged.......The rot still persists! ![]() |
Nice one. I did an experiment on how long cucumber could last after harvest, so l bought one that was very fresh and no cut on it on the 23rd day of December 2015 then had it placed on the counter top of my kitchen with a room temperature of about 18 degrees. I finally ate it on the 31st of March, 2016 and the taste was okay. I suggest farmers to be careful when harvesting to avoid cuts on the cucumber, so one will not be forced to sell off and lower price. |
a, Tell them you wanna bet b, Plug your phone c, start selecting teams as slow as you can, make sure you play up to 70-90 matches, your bet slip would be longer than river Nile, after 30 minutes of brainstorming odds accumulation, tell them to print the slip then unplug your phone and put it in your pocket. d, bring out your wallet and shout 'chai' while claiming not to have any money with you, the operator would vex and tear your ticket. e, Walk home happily with your re-energised phone (Please, don't try that stunt twice in one shop) ![]() |
Nice one, Do go further by empowering your people on how to raise cows for meat and milk as it is not an exclusive of a particular tribe. |

The Kenyan government says they are projecting an income of $120m from this conference into their economy, with about 10,000 foreigners around for the conference just as they earned $60m from hosting UN Trade conference in July. We have so much to learn that hosting International conferences is a big source of income |
