Hmmm! I agree about the lack of interest. I'm about importing from Kenya as well after doing lots of research. I'm interested in exploring the greenhouse option, hopefully in the next one year
Then you should take out time to go understudy some of these flower farms, right from planting to packaging. l just love seeing Sian Roses refrigerated trucks transporting their flowers to Jomo kenyatta international airport in Nairobi for onward airlift to Europe as l imagine how many local families this enterprise if feeding!

Those type of flowers and even "foreign" fruits can be grown in Jos or IITA in green houses in Ibadan. We have these things in Nigeria just that production scale is small
So true, commercial flower farms in Kenya use green houses to protect them from rain, wind and extreme temperatures. some are growing them
utilizing hydroponics (without soil). It is high time we upscale as their flower industry is employing over a 100,000 Kenyans!

they are most likely imported. we do not have the temperate for their growth. perhaps in jos, not certain
lt is sickening to note that Kenya exports flower daily to Europe which earns them about $1bn annually in foreign exchange and Nigeria imports that same flower from Europe! huh

l have been to lots of commercial flower farms here in Kenya and most of the flowers are grown under greenhouses. l think the lack of interest is even the main issue not weather!
PoliticsRe: Fashola - Ambobe Handing Over: Tafawa Balewa Square Tastefully Decorated (photos by Pavore9: 11:42am On May 29, 2015
Beautiful....it seems that some are so used to concrete everywhere that the calming feel of colourful flowers becomes irritating to behold and it is not that they are going to be seeing it everyday!

lt will only pain me if these flowers were imported because l see no reason why Nigeria should continue to import flowers when we have the soil and weather!

someone who will come pick me and my family ....

Estate is well secured; even each houses has its
own gate... but the vicinity here got lotta Nigerians!

Just have less dealings with them as they are bad news and always targets of the immigration.

As in ehn, in my estate here, the silly security made
one stupid statement one day ehn.

She was like "you Nigerians don't work but you're rich".

I began to wonder, how can I explain to this fat lady I'm
not among those that pluck money illegally online.....

Nigerians are really going crazy here. Almost all of them
that lives in this estate are into illegal stuff....

Anyways, glad to see someone like you doing legal
stuff and proud of been a Nigerian

~ Sheyi
Based on experience, l will advise you to relocate as soon as you can because when police come raiding every Nigerian will be picked after which you will have to prove your innocence. l can't forget a raid they did somewhere in Donholm, Stay far from Nigerians who are into illegal stuffs!

That is great! All the glory goes to God, the giver of life and knowledge. I always feel happy when I read testimonies like this. You can't imagine the joy I derive from helping people. It inspires me to do more. There will be more threads like this in the nearest future, but on different money making venture online. I am still doing different kinds of training to learn more. I just enrolled for a $496 course online two days ago. It is not for me alone, but for as many people God wants to bless. Better days are head of us!
Knowledge acquired for greater good, is a blessing to humanity.

lol! You are funny.. Nigerians in Nigeria into legitimate stuffs are not Okay with lagos?
There are Nigerians here who are into yahoo, yahoo and most of them prefer moving around town in taxis as against entering buses because of fear that they may encounter a security agent in the bus. When they hammer, most of them pack out of their apartment and move to another part of town as rent is paid monthly.

You are absolutely right about Al-shabab's attacks on the coatal cities. Kenyan tourism has really taken a hit as a result. Matter of fact I was in Limuru, a sleepy town not far from Nairobi when Al-shabab attacked the West Gate Mall in Nairobi back in 2013.

I think Nairobi has the best weather in the world -- so chilly at times that you forget you are still in Africa.

Kenya is like the Naija of East Africa, economically. Visited some nice residential areas in the Westlands area. You'd be forgiven for thinking you're in Europe. White people love that country.
Likewise areas like Karen, Lavinghton, Kilimani are also some nice residential areas.

Fried wetin? cheesy l can relate with how your wife felt food-wise as l felt same on my first visit but now l am residing here, l know my way around in regards to food as l know where in Nairobi l can buy okro, semolina, pepper, plantain, wheat, green, ewedu, palm oil, smoked fish etc and also know also how to bring over stuff like egusi, ogbono, crayfish etc from Lagos to Nairobi within 5 days so l am not missing our food.

l really felt like vomiting when l got to eat their pepperless meals but now l have also gotten used to it. cheesy
