Of course our constitution recognizes traditional rulers, but its not the same thing with what you have in the UK or UAE.

Our constitution merely recognizes that traditional rulers exist, but does not ascribe any governmental function(s) to them. Something like an honorary title. Whereas in the UK and UAE, the monarchy forms an integral part of the govt. I.e. their govt will not function or be complete without their monarchs.

I think u can agree with me that the Nigerian govt can run smoothly with or without our monarchs. The influence of monarchs in Nigeria, especially in the North, are more religious than political.

The queen of England is also the head of state of the UK and the commonwealth. Her position is recognized by their constitution...as such, her office is entitled to salary.

Her duties are mostly ceremonial in nature, such as welcoming guests to the country, making public appearances in ceremonies, etc. Meanwhile, they have a head of govt in the prime minister, who is responsible for the day to day running of the country. Its like a PLC, having a Chairman and a CEO or MD.

Its the same thing you have in UAE, where the Sheik of Abu Dahbi is the Head of state, while the Sheik of Dubai is the Prime minister.

We were told he will be back to London for further treatment when he returned from last medical trip. He has opted for treatment in the country instead of another abroad trip. I think it's only fare to let him receive his treatment in peace.

The post of the president is not hereditary, neither is it for the feeble. The poor man should resign and go take proper care of his health (a normal occurrence in developed countries). But no, he is an African, a true naija breed...he prefers to let the country suffer for his poor health and die in office rather than resign honourably and hand over to a fit deputy.

Top nations ke? The friendlies are a warm up for 2 all important back to back WCQ matches against Cameroon.

The Cameroonians are known for their stamina and strength on the pitch, its only normal that we teach these boys how to defeat such a physical team by practising with other physical teams from Africa.

Forget Fifa ranking for now (its overrated BTW), we have to stay focused and qualify for the WC next year.
