If God were to permit Satan to unalive you while testing your dad, would you have said He was faithful to you?

This Satan we are talking about are nothing but envious people who envy people's success in life like they did to Job. They are still everywhere today, but the law will not permit them to do anything to anyone.

Now let us assume that the law by way of anarchy or a lawless society as it appear to be, in the days of Job, permits them to unalive me just like you said and they succeeded in doing that. Unlike Job, I will expect my father to acquire arms, also go and take permission from God, mobilize and pay fighters to fight back and avenge my death and eliminate every single one of them and their families, as a deterrent against a second occurrence of their evil act.

Now, everything that happened to me and also to them has nothing to do with God's faithfulness to me or to them.

God was faithful by giving us life to live and he will continue to be faithful, only that we choose not to be stupid

God's faithfulness is simply sustaining your life for you to manoeuvre yourself out of that difficult situation using your reasoning capacity all by yourself .

It does not take you being a believer or child of God to achieve that.

The jews according to their Judaism religion believed that when they die they will go to Abraham bossom where they will be comforted. So Lazarus was comforted with Abraham's riches after dying as a poor man, that's is what the Jews believe.
At the other hand, the rich man who was a gentile did not have Abraham to comfort him after he died, hence he was tormented perhaps in poverty and the table turned against him according to the law.
The poverty was so severe that he could not afford water to drink, so he begged Abraham and Lazarus for water.
Remember, at the other side Lazarus was the one begging for food.

But how was the word FLAME included in the torment which does not have any bearing to what Jesus was describing in the story, is a mystery itself.

Remember, the overall message of the parable is EVERYONE ARE SINNERS, BOTH THE JEWS AND THE GENTILES ALIKE, AND EVERYONE ARE JUDGED ACCORDING TO THE LAW.

Or does the mysterious includer of the word FLAME in the parable suggest that the rich man was burnt because he was a a rich man?

It does not follow because, everything cast in fire burns, we can observe this physically by burning any object, unlike the lake of fire mentioned in revelation which is a spiritual death or the second death.

What that means in the real sense is, those who were cast into the lake of fire after the judgement will never resurrect back to life.
That is, they are dead for good.

But those whose names were found in the book of life will resurrect after the judgement.

Resurrection is the ultimate purpose of Christianity.

Adam and Eve sinned there was death.
Therefore there was need to restore life back, by way of resurrection.

There's no double standard here. I don't know how you can read all the scriptures I quoted above and still come to the conclusion that Hell is symbolic. it's mind blowing.

if possible, read the whole chapter, you will have a clear picture of what Jesus was trying to explain.
For instance,
Matthew 5:21 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:

Obviously, Jesus was quoting the law.

So by the time you read Jesus saying .... but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.,
You should understand that he was also quoting the law which also states that the wages of sin is death

One thing is clear. Jesus used physical hyperbole 'pluck out your eye' to warn against a permanent spiritual reality HELL. take it or leave it.

Matthew 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

It's like there was a law in Israel against adultery and the punishment for it was stoning the person to death.
Then the person dies and goes to his grave.
Another name for grave is hell.

Matthew 5:29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

Pluck it out means it is better not to commit adultery by looking lustfully at a woman, a crime that may lead to death, then the person will go to his grave which was what people call hell in those days.
So, you see there is nothing spiritual about what Jesus was saying.

Hell fire is not spiritual fire burning people.
It simply means grave.

If so be it, one may ask, how come the word fire is attached to it?

I think the word fire comes from burning of sacrifices or offerings to God, which were mostly animal meat whose remains got spoilt and were eaten by worms.

Another scripture says

Mark 9:48 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

Meaning, they keep using salt to kill the worms and to preserve the sacrifices for another burning all for the atonement of their sins

Mark 9:49 For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.

So burning of sacrifices was actually the hell fire Jesus was talking about.
It is nothing spiritual

So, life is continuous cycle that last forever

In the next 100yrs, many or most people on earth will face eternity.
People who have already died are in eternity.

In the next 100years, life will continue as normal.
Christians who died will resurrect back to life. Therefore they do not die in the real sense.

1 Corinthians 15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

So, there is no such thing as eternity.
If there is anything like eternity, it is happening right in our eyes as we are seeing life like this.

Mark 12:27 He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living:

Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are alive today with us.

People who have already died are living with us right now with a new body.
The old body has corrupt (decay)

Another scripture says whosever be in Christ is a new creature.

1 Corinthians 15:38 But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.

While non christians are the ones dying, because they do not have Faith in Christ.

1 Corinthians 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
