"I no wan talk too much but I gat to say something". Hello Everyone. Here is a Nostalgic piece of mine titled 'Squad Five' #Enjoy. We no plenty for compound, But we had a squad. The connection, love, was more than a bond. Other pikins across road go dey look from afar, They tried to be us, but flow below par. Memories fresh for head just like yesterday. Na me spread hand like person wey wan fly, Not for once, was I quiet or shy. Na me dey first shout 'Up Nepa'!, I was the P.R.O, You shout am before me, 5 naira you owe. Although I too like attention, I like to talk, My whyning as two-phase blow, you no fit block. The guy wey put hand for my shoulder, Was called General Ali. With his 'lenge-lenge' stature na baba for'gidigbo', He dey deal with anybody wey e two head sure for am. But he mess too dey smell and he no dey admit, Just to dey frown face dey go with his torchlight eye. The guy wey dey the edge of the right, Was called Mr 'Kokoli'. Na for junction he mama dey sell koko and akara. So anytime we hungry, we go there to order. But he too like argument, 'Kokoli' stubbornness no dey gree. Directly posing at my back, Was called 'Presido'. Na him know book pass, he mama na teacher. Na because of assignment we give am presido, Make he head for dey swell anytime we call am. But he too dey slow, everything na 'jeje'. Now to the 'olori' of the squad, She was always very shy. As she no dey follow us enter trouble, She had a way of bringing us out, We taught her how to be a goalkeeper, But she dey always leave post for shot. We no plenty for compound, But we had a squad. The connection, love, was more than a bond. Other pikins across road go dey look from afar, They tried to be us, but flow below par. Memories fresh for head just like yesterday By Olowo Tosin John

"I no wan talk too much but I gat to say something". Hello Everyone. Here is an insightful piece of mine titled 'when time flies'. Enjoy. When time flies, Its wings spread changes, To things not meant to be touched. But how compensating is the memories we get? Knowing it's willing to slip into the arms of 'forget'. When time flies! moments are moved. Ireti, 'Oko ati Iyawo' we were called, At first 'Mama Segun' started it, Then the whole area of 'Limbe' anthem along. We got used to it, And played our roles well for years. The bond not just thick, Our face was the mirror to us. When time flies, You are aware in unaware, Changes explodes once realised. No matter how skilled with the pen, Time's back can't be drawn. For it moves forward, In slow, pace, and speed. Ireti, Remember the punch I gave to Bayo, When he took your beads, making you cry, I even served him sand to take a full taste. When you laughed in your smile, I widen my dust painted cheek at you. When time flies, New in now replace before in then, As Young becomes old, And old waits go. Ireti, It was at Jerry's birthday party, We were called the couple we tried to be. Staring at this picture, I now see what 'Mama Segun' saw. But time flew and blew it all. The last time we held hands was in '08, Before OAU called You, And UI called Me. Then time brushed its wings, Flying high into the blue sky. Distance didn't come and go, It appeared and stayed. Ireti, It's been 9 good long years. I heard you are married now, The man is indeed lucky, He should always jump for joy. And thank time for flying. Well am photographer now, My dream from the start. In case you reading this, Just know I Miss you. Don't come looking for me, And I won't come looking for you. Enjoy your marriage! By Olowo Tosin John

OLOWOGBOGBORO is my GOD in HIM I trust, My faith stands strong even at the whispers of worse. The gaze in my hope sees the victory ahead, For rejoice is mine! just like HE said. OLOWOGBOGBORO is my FATHER who embraces me, At the felt of HIM my worries flee. My heart is light as my smile go bright. Praise be HIS NAME all day and night. OLOWOGBOGBORO is the MIGHTY HAND that intervenes, At the point of confusion, sadness and pain. MIRACLE WORKER that turns things around, When close doors are all that surrounds. OLOWOGBOGBORO is the OUTSTRETCHED ARM that uplifts, A promotional force from the low that you sit. Rising far above all odds, From desired heights to beyond. OLOWOGBOGBORO is a GIVER of testimonies, Hearts full of joy and lips filled with praises, Testifying to the wonders in jubilation, For victories over torments of tribulations. OLOWOGBOGBORO is a WELCOMING FATHER ready to accept, Abundant spaces on HIS PALM for we to be carried, Loved and cherished as HE watches over. Fear not! HE doesn't sleep nor slumber. "I no wan talk too much but I gat to say something". Hello Everyone. Here is an insightful piece of mine titled 'Letter to Simbi'. #Enjoy. Back then when we dey call you 'coke and coat', You go just smile as your dimple go dey float, So shy, so quick to laugh. How I go forget how you dey tie your scarf, E go round e go round, so firm on your head. The waka of your steps was straight e no bend. You were just 12 when you sabi all the countries, I remember you said it wasn't more than practice. Na book for the day, na same for the night, We thought we saw it coming, the very bright height. Na you be the example dey say make we copy, Although some be jealous, some no worry. They say time dey fly, people dey change, Abi na when una park comot bring the new page? As I dey rack my brain, my thoughts dey on tour, For how 1+1 wey be two con dey enter four. Even girls wey be slack later moderate, But how your own con be, should we call it fate? Your long gown before don be skimpy skimpy, Your house-school to church don be party party, The shy I sabi don be open open, That 'kneeling knee' don be broken broken, The good girl I know has really been tuned, Simbi! what really happened? But me no go judge, I know say stories dey, But if na to retrace the path, I know say way dey. How you con be like this still leaves me in shock, Like motor engine wey no give sign to knock. My faith in you still plenty like ever before. I pray you realise quick, before you sink it all. Meanwhile, I go soon marry Shade, That your slim friend, the sister of Wale. Shey you hear say Funsho don travel out, Una neighbour pikin with the very big mouth. As we no happy how we dey see you, I took it upon myself to write to you. From Texas. By Olowo Tosin John
