AtlanticBreeze: I think people are trying to twist the judgement to suit them. Some are even saying there will be no more rerun in the central as this ruling will overrule it. lol. Remember this case has lingered, I remember INEC accepted only this faction till the last minute when the Andy Uba faction secured a court judgement and then INEC replaced them, so this faction has gotten a last superior judgement, no twisting the facts. They automatically claim the seats! That's my thought too, until I start to here this other side, these days one never knows where judgement turns to. Imagine if the court of appeal was to be the final court in this matter, how different the outcome would have been. See as lawyers just de enjoy, no be them country de hard for. |

AtlanticBreeze: apga fielded a weak candidate in Anambra South. Ernest Ndukwe. Chris ubah will beat him black and blue in a free and fair election, I'm from that axis.. Hahaha @ black and blue. Anyway I am hearing a very reasonable argument that primaries are conducted by the national, and that issues of candidacy was not before the supreme court hence the Senators remain. We shall see how this plays out. |

AtlanticBreeze: I really pity Stella, I was hoping she would leverage on the two factions since she was a very popular candidate. You only ignore Chris Uba at your peril. Ekwunife couldn't have won in a free and fair contest. Anyway, I blame them for undermining Chris Uba in Pdp anambra affair.. Chris is grassroots to the core. Chris is grassroot surely and could win primaries in PDP no doubt, but I am not so sure of his emerging victorious in the open elections against Apga. As per Ekwunife, I may have a different opinion on that, considering her opponent in apga (who is his own greatest enemy). I agree with you on the Princess. |
Politics › Re: Anambra PDP Senators Sacked By Supreme Court by Pchinak: 5:49pm On Jan 29, 2016 |
modath: But from what I gathered, the Oduah & Co were not the "authentic" primary winners, rather it was Patience, Peter Obi & Arthur Eze that muscled in & substituted their names...
The election wasn't cancelled, you are very correct but the Chris Uba faction + Reps will take over & the nullified one I haven't gotten my very informed person's Opinion yet...
But one thing I'm in the dark about is ; "why didn't the Ekwunife, Oduah & co want to go through the proper primaries with delegates but sought to arm twist the state Exco?
Are they not popular Cos all the contenders are all "peppered", so that couldn't have helped... PDP's leadership tussle in Anambra is as old as the nascent democracy. There isn't a point in time you don't have factions, however what happened during the election was that the Oduah group was the group recognized by the national body at the time out of the three groups that surfaced. But now the supreme Court has said that one of the other two was the authentic one. Stella and co are quite popular, especially Ekwunife, but as you can see now, they were in the wrong faction. |

Blitz888: Great News! Now who replaces Our dear Princess Stella Adaeze Oduah cos I don't see any name form Anambra North?
It Could also mean that the Anambra Central rescheduled election is a non-starter... I seriously feel for Uche Ekwunife and her co-travellers cos there'll never be room enough in Anambra to accommodate her and her marauding band.
OMAMBALA ADIGO MMA!!! John Okechukwu is the name of this faction's candidate from Anambra North. |

modath: Educate me, I like to learn... I thought the people are not in support of the enforcement of the sacked candidates? Thx Not really. Those candidates were the PDP supposed reps in the last election. It is quite arguable if they won the elections free and fair against the APGA candidates, but one thing is sure, the people of Anambra will rather prefer them than the group that will take over from them now, which includes Chris Uba, Annie okonkwo and John Okechukwu. One has to note that the court did not cancel the election, so like in Amechi vs Omehia case the new group will just take over from the old. That's how Andy Uba got to Senate in his first term. |
Politics › Re: Anambra PDP Senators Sacked By Supreme Court by Pchinak: 12:59pm On Jan 29, 2016 |
Terrible news for Anambra State. This I guess is like Amaechi taking over from Omehia. So its Eselu taking over from Andy Uba, and John Okechukwu taking over from Princess Stella, this isn't good at all for Anambra. The worst now is Annie okonkwo is the candidate for the upcoming Anambra Central, chai. Supreme court haba na, una for cancel the election na, at least make we consider APGA candidates. |

spyder880: My meeting with the youths of Ugwuomu Nike town was massive on Saturday morning. Every body that was supposed to be there was there and I got introduced to many more people. My staff who resides at the village was also there and I explained to them that he will be acting on my behalf in the matters concerning the land.
In the end they reaffirmed their agreement for the bulldozer to enter and create all the roads anytime I can arrange for it. I also paid some more money which was shared to all, plus lots of drinks that must go round to the countless youths.
It was a very significant event. Well done sir. |

ifyalways: Oga Spyder, there should be an incentive in the form of discount for people that are forthcoming with their payments eg, fencing fee, nri ani or whatever else to be paid.
If all of us feign busy, broke, lets-do-it- later then this estate won't move at the pace we all want or expect. Fencing money was130K per plot, a few people paid, people that will pay next year will still pay 130K? I asked this question before but you ignored it. There should be an incentive for paying as and when due and "consequence" when you pay after a stipulated time frame.
For nri ani, what if I prefer paying for it directly? That means my bulldozer money remains intact with you. Kindly notify so I can effect payment.
I'm still not clear on the " development levy " but I will brb on that. I am with you on this. Going that way, I would have taken like 6 plots to pay small small, one per year. |

spyder880: Thank you bro, the electric poles money is different, but reduced because I used part of it to complete the land payments and also paying off agents in full so we can conclude the acquisition stage, while some plots are remaining. I support your suggestion for declaring those plots not yet paid for "vacant" but selling them now might not be good, I am looking for a good appreciation before I can agree to sell. You see boss, the problem with your last statement is that while you're going to reap the benefit alone by selling later, I am bearing the burden with you and a few others. If they are vacant and you want to wait, then you've acquired them for yourself and have to pay for them. So I don't expect it to continue to be a burden dragging us back in what we're doing. Else, throwing it open to those who may want to add to theirs wont be a bad idea. |

spyder880: From your post, I need clarifications spyder880.
1. The "set aside about N2m", is it for only bulldozing and culvert alone, or is it to cover for "provision of electric poles etc"?
There is no separate budget or money collected for the construction of the culvert, my hope was to manage the bulldozing funds in such a way that it will do the culvert for vehicles to pass on top of it, then to plant our royal palms from same amount. The N2m I mentioned is money at hand at the moment, we have not got all monies expected from land sales as some people are still owing, then some reserved plots are still unsold even after I have been told to leave them. I might declare those plots for sale, but right now we don't have money problems as N2m will still go far in the bulldozing and culvert. But if we pay for the "nri ani", the money will reduce.
2. Does the "10% of total cost of land as development levy" involve us, also, does "till building start" include fencing of the land and gate house?
Of course the money involves all us us, but they are not asking for this immediately. I remember some of us asked about this earlier, and asked me to include it in the total package of which I refused, and told us to wait till we are ready to build as the town government or youth council could change with time. "Till building starts is till the main building", they are not yet stopping me from doing the fence now.
3. If i understand the post, it's already a done deal on N25K per plot.
I believe they will collect the N25k, 2 families have asked that I pay their own last week but I want to make sure I start delivering materials into this site before I can pay anyone. I was at the site today to ensure payment of compensations on the road I bought so farmers can remove their crops, ripe or unripe for me to start work. 1. I really wasn't thinking of separate money for culvert alone, that one was clear from inception to go alongside with the bulldozing. Why I raised that question was due to the introduction of electric poles in your post, because it was meant to be separate; as Ifyalways had highlighted. In this your post now, I could see that you did not mention the electric poles again, however you said N2m is all you have at hand, which is actually less than what you should have for bulldozing and culvert alone, with electric poles as a separate matter. I am one of those who paid the costliest price for a plot here (which I am not happy with myself about), yet I have come to realize that I paid in full for my quota, paid in full for fencing and here now giving consideration to Nri ani. While several others who had better bargain are still owing or not forth coming with theirs. As a matter of fact, you must declare those "reserved but unpaid for" plots vacant immediately, some of us could still buy them up so that we can move forward. I do not consider it wise on my part that someone will tie down a plot for 600, 650K or even 700K for so long; while I develop the place with my own contributions and raise the value of the place for him/her, so he/she can now sell it (even before paying fully) and make gains without having invested much. From the last update, I saw people with multiple plots owing, that's not good, one should not bite more than he/she can chew. 2. Understood. Since the nature of this venture is that we are now sharing directly the levies from the community, Please break down what it is development levy for each plot, I am not looking forward to having this development levy as 10% of 400K as oga Ugwup posted, I have quite less in mind o. 3. Ok Thanks. |

spyder880: In the end, they all insisted on N30,000 to be paid for each plot of land, while I told them its N25,000 or nothing else. Some of them who needs money more than others has agreed to collect N25,000 for each of their own plots as settlement for "nri ani" They will sign for this money in another agreement we will draft before payment. I want all of us to be aware of this, and make suggestions on what to do.
I still have enough money to start work in this land, I had set aside about N2m for the culvert and the bulldozing plus the provision of electric poles etc, and the money is intact. I also have collected about N1,050,000 from payments for the fencing of this land and the gate house, I plan to commence work this weekend, but I am still wondering if bulldozing this land is very necessary, bulldozing this land will make it open, and clear for development but will increase the risk of erosion, and even scatter some of our beacons already planted. The wider community and town council might also come out to demand that money be paid to them before bulldozers could be allowed to pass and work on the land. (The family told me that the community collects 10% of total cost of land as development levy, but I don't plan to pay it till buildings start) From your post, I need clarifications spyder880. 1. The "set aside about N2m", is it for only bulldozing and culvert alone, or is it to cover for "provision of electric poles etc"? 2. I bought about 120 bags of cement that was moulded for this house and it did not complete the ground floor, me? Well, the man is a family member and as such I find it difficult to start a case between me, his family and his. So I will overlook the matter for the sake of peace.
The lesson here is that a lot of us think they are saving money by making their own blocks.. you may end up losing money like me. In most cases , those who make their own blocks lose money. I will do a detailed analysis of this statement in my block making thread in the weekend. Relations...gone are the good old days.*sighs* Well done jare. |

Myluv1: BANKS, ACCOUNT NUMBERS AND MONEY OBI LEFT FOR OBIANO
You are all witnesses of the Press Conference by Anambra State Government denying the amount of money bequeathed it by Mr. Peter Obi. Gov. Willie Obiano plans to borrow money massively and has chosen to lie by telling Anambra people that the amount contained in Obi’s handover note was not the true representation of reality. I understand that some of the institutions he plans to borrow from questioned his financial prudence and ability to manage money, hence he wanted to tell them that he met no money not to talk about managing it. Find below, the detail of money handed over to him, where they were as at March 17th, 2017, for I do not know where they are now. You cannot eat your cake and have it, you cannot live beyond your income and expect not to go bankrupt as Anambra is today. Here we go
FOREIGN CURRENCY INVESTMENT 1. Dollar investment in Fidelity Bank = There is a Fidelity Bank letter to that and the total is $54,136,125 2. Diamond Bank: There is a Diamond Bank letter to that and the total is $50,000,000 3. Access Bank: There is an Access Bank letter to that and the total is $49,966,504.08 As at March 17th, 2014, the Naira equivalence of this was Twenty-Six Billion, five hundred million Naira (N26,500,000,000) In their effusion of lies called a press conference, the Anambra Government said the investment had lost value. From experts who computed the investment, the total portfolio value is now $176,293,114. This means the investment has gained $20,293,114 (N8,758,622,951) Mr. Peter Obi who invested the money called it Anambra State Future Generation Fund (ASFGF), and they are being held till maturity. I understand the present Government in Awka plans to sell it and has already appointed a financial firm to oversee that. Value of investment today is N35,258,622,951.14
CERTIFIED STATE/MDAs BALANCES Though Obi said it was Twenty Eight Billion, One hundred and Sixty-five Million, Nine Hundred and Eighty-five Thousand Naira (N28,165,985,574), it was very far above that. Obi did so purposely to allow him what is called “financial gaps” Below are some of the money and the banks/Account number of banks where they were as at March 17th, 2014, for I do not know where they are now

I don't understand this response boss, thought those are the ones you paid N500/bag, or was your answer to his question "Yes", then a further information on possible increase in price? I guess someone was doing the " levelling", was he part of this money? |

spyder880: This house is small, total area is only 167.84 Sqm (10275 X 17850)
The ground floor and upper floor rooms.......... Thanks boss, I guess the ground floor may have to lose a bedroom to fit into a half(50x50)' plot of land. |
