Former President Donald Trump will be indicted on Wednesday and asked to surrender for arraignment in New York next week, according to a new report.

“There will be no arraignment this week,” an unnamed source, said to be familiar with the proceeding, told the Daily Mail on Tuesday.

The Mail reports that “the former president, who is currently in Florida, is expected to be formally charged tomorrow, after which the Manhattan District Attorney’s office will reach out to Trump and his Secret Service detail to make arrangements for his surrender.”

After being flown to New York, he will be fingerprinted, arrested, and a mug shot will be taken.

On Tuesday, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office responded to a letter sent by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan demanding that he testify before Congress about his “unprecedented abuse of prosecutorial authority.” The prosecutor’s office said that they will not be “intimidated” out of filing charges.

We will not be intimidated by attempts to undermine the justice process, nor will we let baseless accusations deter us from fairly applying the law,” a spokesperson for Bragg’s office told Fox News on Tuesday.

“In every prosecution, we follow the law without fear or favor to uncover the truth. Our skilled, honest and dedicated lawyers remain hard at work,” the spokesperson added.

On Monday, Jordan had sent a letter to Bragg’s office saying, “in light of the serious consequences of your actions, we expect that you will testify about what plainly appears to be a politically motivated prosecutorial decision.”

The possible indictment stems from an alleged $130,000 hush money payment made to porn star Stormy Daniels in 2016 over an alleged sexual encounter that the two had in 2006. His former attorney, Michael Cohen, pleaded guilty to charges over the payment in 2018 and was sentenced to three years in prison

The New York Police Department is preparing to deploy 700 riot cops to mitigate the potential mayhem expected ahead of former President Donald Trump’s anticipated arrest this week.

The NYPD is reportedly coordinating with senior staff members from the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office and officers who provide security at the state Supreme Court building in lower Manhattan to prevent violence or a riot similar to January 6.

The NYPD’s s Strategic Response Group is reportedly gearing up for a showdown between MAGA conservatives and anti-Trump protesters outside Manhattan Criminal Court while Trump is arraigned.

“If a significant demonstration materializes in the next week, NYPD sources said the force may deploy the Strategic Response Group, a roughly 700-hundred-member unit trained in ‘disorder control,'” The Daily Beast reports. “The department, if necessary, could escalate that response by deploying a Level 4 alert—which would put eight cops and one sergeant on alert in every precinct.”

Prosecutors claim Trump violated campaign finance laws for a $130,000 payment his former attorney, Michael Cohen, paid to porn star Stormy Daniels during the 2016 campaign for her silence about an alleged affair.

Bragg says the payment, which was listed as “legal expenses,” violates New York law which prohibits falsifying business records.

Trump maintains he expects to be arrested as early as Tuesday on state charges for the payments to Daniels. Trump is urging his supporters to “Protest, take our nation back!”

Secret Service agents who oversee Trump’s detail in South Florida and New York are strategizing to safely get Trump into the District Attorney’s office amid crowds of protesters and media.

“Trump’s US Secret Service detail would deliver him to the Manhattan district attorney’s office for fingerprinting and then taking mugshots in offices of the district attorney’s detective squad,” CNN reports. “As is customary in cases where a defendant is allowed to voluntarily surrender, after arrest processing, the former president would be brought directly to an arraignment before a judge where he would likely be released on his own recognizance.”

The Secret Service may secure a press conference outside of Trump Tower, the publication notes.

Negotiations between Barbados, the Africa Export-Import Bank, and Air Peace could lead to the commencement of a direct route between Barbados and Nigeria as soon as the second half of the year.

Barbados' Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Ambassador, David Comissiong, disclosed that negotiations between the Africa Export-Import Bank and Nigeria's Air Peace were going well. If successful, the island could see the commencement of the direct route to Africa.

Speaking to the media at an event to celebrate Ghana's 66th Anniversary at Ilaro Court recently, the ambassador described the multi-billion-dollar bank as an African partner of real substance and resources. Afreximbank is a pan-African multilateral trade finance institution headquartered in Cairo, Egypt.

The ambassador stressed that the bank had been partnering with the island and negotiating with the African airlines to make flights from the continent a reality. Although the deal has not been sealed, David Comissiong said he was looking forward to the start of the twice-weekly flight from Lagos.
