The Constitution (12th Amendment) does not empower Congress to object to Electors’ votes. That is a infringement on states’ rights to appoint Electors & the Electors’ rights to vote. Congress’s power to count is ministerial not judicial. |

Ibime: Bitcoin price rise over the last couple of months is depressing me right now. I've been waiting for it to drop back to $5k since the last 6 months so I can re-enter market but it's definitely escaped that price. Maybe new support will be $20k after any new year correction. I'm getting a strong urge just to day trade on Binance which I never do, just out of rage at all this passing me by. I’m predicting bitcoin to hit $40k by the end of the first quarter of next year. I have no hope of getting into bitcoin, but I’m always happy when it rises because my crypto-related stocks (MARA, Dogecoin) also rise. |

Well, I turned out to be right when I predicted, a week ago, that Chelsea are now realistically out of the title race.
It’s now a battle for the top 4. By new year’s or the week after, we could be six points behind Everton and Aston Villa |

edi287: Senate will not side with Pence. Romney, Murkowski, Sasse are confirmed to side with Dems. That's not counting the ones that are tired of the whole thing. Trump is getting booted out whether he likes it or not. I suspect Hawley is doing this in order to stave off a primary challenge from a MAGAite in 2022 or 2024. He is merely playing on the intelligence of most Trump supporters |

Even if Pence objects to the certified slates of electors from the contested states, both chambers would need to agree. Even if the Senate agrees with Pence, the House will not. According to the ECA (Electoral Count Act) if both chambers are not in agreement, the decision on which slate to select goes back to the states’ governors. Even if Pence objects to the certified slates of electors from the contested states, both chambers would need to agree. |

Schemerkhiz: Pinnick hints at Turkish Cup for Super Falcons, applaud Aisha Falode
27th December 2020
By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde Sports Writer, kick442.com Nigeria
President of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Amaju Melvin Pinnick has hinted that the Super Falcons might take part in the 2021 Turkish Cup.
Pinnick said this in a monitored interview on Television Continental (TVC).
“Super Falcons remain the top-ranked country in Africa. They could not play this year but we are working towards organising friendly matches for them in 2021. One of the tournaments that we are looking forward to is the Turkish Cup next year.” He told Promise Efoge.
Super Falcons finished as the top-ranked African country in 2020 without kicking a ball after the December rankings were released by FIFA as they ended the year in the 37th position.
www.kick442.com can confirm three Women’s international football tournaments which will take place in February 2021.
– Pinatar Cup 2021 (14-24 February 2021)
– Cyprus Cup 2021 (15-25 February 2021)
– Turkish Cup 2021 (15-25 February 2021)
Amaju Pinnick also praised the Chairperson of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL), Ms. Aisha Falode for blazing the trail in starting the 2021 NWFL Premiership season ahead of their male counterparts (NPFL).
He said: “We are proud of Aisha Falode for making that bold step in starting the women’s league this year ahead of the men’s league. She is doing a wonderful job with the league.”
2021 NWFL Premiership season kicked off on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, and is presently on Christmas/New Year break after Week three games.
The league will resume on Wednesday, January 6, 2021, with week four games. I hope this plan comes to fruition |

The Federal Government has said that the new International Airport Terminal in Lagos, Nigeria, will be opened in 2021.
This was disclosed by one of the media aides of President Muhammadu Buhari, Tolu Ogunlesi, via his Twitter handle on Monday.
What you should know:
In May 2020, the Federal Government revealed its plan to invest $38million in rehabilitation of the current Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos terminal.
Why it matters:
The Minister of State for Aviation, Hadi Sirika, had explained that the airport needed a revamp due to its poor state, which has outlived its usefulness. He further noted that the terminal was built to handle 300,000 at inception but the passengers it handles have grown to 8 million in the past three years.
He said,
“We require to spend $38m as palliative on the refurbishment of the international terminal in Lagos. This airport was built in 1979 and intended to carry just 200,000 passengers annually, but it now does over eight million yearly. With the continuous over-use of its facilities, the amenities will not last for long.” https://nairametrics.com/2020/12/28/fg-to-open-new-lagos-international-airport-terminal-in-2021/

basilico: He has the power to reject electors from contested states. Then the congress assigns one vote per state and they vote for the president. it's in the constitution, probably wikipidea has it. Wrong. He has no such power. Besides, any slate of “electors” without the approval of a governor ( a process defined by state laws validly passed by STATE LEGISLATURES) are simply null and void |

I would advise the Biden team and allies to continually run ads on the major networks showing how Obama PEACEFULLY handed over to Trump! That would shame all those who think Trump or Pence can, somehow, overturn the will of the people. |

The Insurrection Act has very specific instances when it can be invoked and they are pretty clearly spelled out. The military is prohibited by law, thankfully so, in engaging in policing activities within the border of the United States except in very specific and emergency situations.
The military has its own lawyers and they swear an oath to the Constitution. The vast majority of the officer corps, particular of senior rank will not follow any orders deemed to be illegal or unconstitutional. |
