adanny01: There are different mixers applicable to different uses. 1. Basin mixer - usually used in the hand wash basin or laundry basin 2. Kitchen sink mixer - this comes sometimes with longer pipes 3. Bath tub mixer 4. Shower mixer The bath tub and shower mixers some times have 2 or more interchangeable water outlets. So you can use a hand shower or over head mixer or drain pipe to collect water in a bucket/tub.
The other thing you were asking of that Hajji posted its picture but forgot its name is called SHATTAF valve.
Lastly, i prefer the top flush than the side flush because the side flush is more fragile and more prone to damage. Also, the top flush would save more water because it has 2 buttons one is for complete flush and the other for partial flush that stops once it is released. One button is good for poo and the other good for pee saving some water that would have been wasted on little pee using complete flush. Thanks a lot sir, I am grateful. Merry Christmas! |

@ mufutau55, @ EndiaSami, @ lastpage, @ rotecch77, @ topsy23 Thanks a lot sirs, very grateful. Merry Christmas to you all The only regret I had was not involving people here much earlier, really lost good money to funny artisans but thank God for His mercies and for life. I will get the pictures of the plumbing, in holiday mode now but plumber assured its okay for top flush. but I don't trust them anymore, that's how they told me all is okay before with piping only to come and be asking for permanent controls for the stop corks in place saying the red onces there were temporary!?, I was like you bought and fixed them so how should I know there are supposed to be permanents stored somewhere? It's been a learning curve really. Thanks all once again.
As an aside, I will appeal to all concerned in the spirit of Christmas to forgive, not necessarily forget, Mr Br.... Please tender apology without explanation to all those who your actions may have disappointed or hurt, Mr Ma........ & others; Kindly forgive. when trust is betrayed it creates a deep wound that takes time to heal, what is not needed is constantly opening up the wound just my opinion Merry Christmas. |

mufutau55: Ans #1: Mixer tap is the what mixes the hot and cold water... (see below) Ans #2: I am sure you are talking about the below... but sorry I forgot the name. Ans #3: I am not sure there is a difference, just a style... but I still like the side flush because of storing some stuffs on top cover.
Hajji M. Thanks sir, I know I can count on you sir, would have mailed you directly but do not want to stress the eyes, hope much better now sir #1: so the mixer tap would still need a shower set. #2: yes that is the fittings sir, will still love anyone who knows the name / price to assist #3: thanks sir, was concerned really about maintenance. someone said only a plumber can open the top flush while a DIY can do simple maintenance on the side flush Thanks sir. |

brabus: @TLAX This is not our first build inside Lekki II. In 2011, our privacy fence project was constructed the same way in Lekki II.
https://www.nairaland.com/1236563/privacy-fence-lekki-construction-blog#15374586
At the end of the project, a proper ramp was constructed over the drainage and everything cleared to the landlord's satisfaction.
The owner dey here to attest to this.
_______ Meanwhile, I ordered some solid 3" x 10" hardwood to construct a temporary ramp over the drainage today. And it has been constructed. Sir, sorry been away, Good that you did this, as I stated earlier I know its a construction site but this is an international forum you never know where you will be tomorrow so best practices where possible. Well done sir and I wish you the very best, may you successfully disappoint those who have written you off, may The Good Lord direct your spirit to all round excellence. Amen |

geesampower: Thank you sir.
There is no need for a booster charger. The charge controller can "Bulk" charge, same with the inbuilt inverter charger. Thanks sir, you mean the owner can have full charge in 6 hours of sunlight? I believe that should be peak sunlight period of is it inclusive of any period there is light outside. what are the maintenance tips for the proud owner? is there a possibility of charging via alternative phcn and gen? is there a risk of overcharging? |

mufutau55: 1. Why do you want to use wood on top of the iron, why not lay flat iron sheet with holes and welded on top of the iron? (See below pic) There is a iron cross bar and iron/steel sheet is laid and welded on top. No need to being scared to buckle or crash.
4. Plumber
Hajji M. Thanks sir, really appreciate your constant support sir actually considering all options given that the stand is already in place without that section sorted out, the locals are more used to wooden platforms for the tanks

Good day all, 1. please I need information on the most suitable type of wood to use as base for a water tank on iron scaffold that will last. I have seen some that after few days of exposure to water and sunlight buckles and crashes the tank 2. name of the wood, features and going prices will be appreciated 3. Also is it advisable to line the top with nylon before placing the tank or that will promote dampness? 4. lastly, who is responsible for fixing water heater?, plumber or electrician?. Thanks all. |
