Education / Re: I Am Looking For A Good Sec-school Around Mowe/ofada/redeemed Axis by peaceland(m): 9:31am On Apr 26, 2023
blackcookie:
Dear Nairalanders,

Health / Re: My Mother Has Fibroid, I Need Solutions To Stop It Permanently by peaceland(m): 9:49am On Feb 11, 2023
@Pierced,
Accept my sincere condolences.
The Lord will strengthen you.
Without knowing you I believe you did your best.
LMS means leiomyosarcoma.
This is a very rare form of cancer.
Mentioned by one of the respondents which was what made me read through the thread - trying to know more.
My late spouse also was recovering until some fibroid like signs weeks after surgery and then we went for the histopathological report and got a shocker. Not a medical person but do hope you have histology report (test done on the evacuated uterus) and just to be sure what is said to be kidney problem was indeed kidney....... My LS had abdominal swelling.......
As men the doctors are trying but with the benefit of hindsight there are a couple of decisions taken that I think will not have been taken if we have better information at the time. And perhaps she will be alive too. I came to a conclusion that LMS (or that type of LMS) should not have been disturbed.....
Once again accept my sincere condolences.
Wishing you the very best

Pierced:

She went for the surgery.......hysterectomy was done....she was already getting better....then kidney problem started (6 to 8 weeks after the surgery).

The surgery was done in April......she died in July.

What is aggressive LMS?

Health / Re: My Mother Has Fibroid, I Need Solutions To Stop It Permanently by peaceland(m): 6:22am On Feb 11, 2023
Good day @Pierced
Came across this post by chance.
What is the situation now?. Hope a viable option came up and successful?
Wishing you & your family the best.
I had a similar experience with my late spouse but it didn't end as expected.
Turned out there was underlying LMS which scan cannot detect but see as fibroid.
Did the surgery only for aggressive LMS to take over.
Fought well but eventually she got called home to rest.
I do sincerely hope your mother have a much better experience.
In this part we are still not well advanced in biopsy and other ways of getting better results from tests.
If you can please share the solution so others can learn from your experience.
Thank you, do have a lovely day.
By the way the stc stuff is (in my experience) pure rubbish, borderline scam. Thank you.

Pierced:
Hello everyone. Forgive me for this long post.

My mom has been bleeding as a result of fibroid for 2 and half months now. She is suppose to have a sugery and remove the fibroid but the doctors are saying they can't do any sugery until the bleeding stop as it is too risky to perform a surgery on her if she's still bleeding.

4 pints of blood was injected in her as she has lost so much blood, and was getting weaker by the day.

I am scared that the four pints of blood will be wasted again as she's still bleeding heavily.

I need solutions in stoping the bleeding, so the surgery will be done and the bleeding will be stopped. Pls if know anything that can be done so the bleeding can stop, it will be appreciated.

Pls, gynecologist in the house, I urgently need help.

Travel / Re: IATA Reacts To Emirates Suspension Of Flights From Nigeria by peaceland(m): 2:06pm On Aug 19, 2022
Interesting!!!!!
Unfortunately, the shareholders of Emirates are not Nigerians so 'patriotism' does not apply.
If investors cannot repatriate thier capital, might as well close shop.
That is the truth and not this emotional lines you penned sir. The earlier we acknowledge our challenges and start sorting them out the better. Denial won't work.
Thanks.
mach7:
This is a really tough situation. Nigeria is blocking the repatriation of funds NOT because it wants to damage its reputation or deprive Emirates of its money, but we are really on strings now.

Every USD in the economy has to be scavenged and kept aside to finance importation - both of fuel and food.

Instead of insulting the government, Nigerians now need to be more patriotic in putting up a united front. For now, with the absence of Emirates and soon to be other international airlines, we should actively support our local airlines like Arik Air who are flying international routes and quickly launch Nigerian Air to complement them.

Emirates and by extension IATA should be patient and calm down. They will get their funds in due time, let's fix ourselves first.

Good people,
Please I need help.
My Su-kam Falcon 1600 inverter.
The MAINS ON light keeps flashing once phcn light is supplied, the inverter lines will switch off and it appears it's not charging on phcn light. Suspecting this happened after a bad supply for phcn. Appears still charging with the solar.
What can be the likely issues?
Please is it something I can resolve?
Is there a reset method?.
Is there a reliable repair/service firm around ibafo-mowe axis?.
Thank you.

Good day dear all,
Honda Accord Ex 2009 automatic.
Noticed increased fuel consumption after changing my kick starter.
No check engine light, everything working well but fuel consumption crazy.
No leakage or blue smoke either.
Can one scan even when there is no check light?
Can scanning reveal the issue?
Thanks

Politics / Re: Court Voids APC's Participation In Anambra Guber Poll Over Unlawful Primary by peaceland(m): 4:51pm On Dec 20, 2021
seunmsg:
The earlier APC boot out the useless Buni caretaker committee, the better for the party. With Buni in charge, APC may not even be allowed to participate in any election again. Everything must be done to get the convention done by February. Enough of this nonsense.

I keep having a funny feeling that the legal stumbling blocks are being delibrately encouraged by top apc leadership to ensure the party does not feature in the next elections. I don't know why and it may sound incredible but judging from the Zamfara and Rivers states experience in the last elections, I see possibility of not even having the party on the ballot sheets. Sound incredible but there might be a delibrate end goal being pursued here that some will not realize until too late.
Thank you.
Romance / Re: I Am Scared To Ask Him When He Wants To Get Married. Help!!! by peaceland(m): 9:23am On Dec 08, 2021
Good day,
A bit old school but you need to know his house, his office, his friends and at least a member of his family before marriage discussions crosses your mind.
You don't know anything about hispast, his spiritual orientations and co just want a marriage proposition. I think you are putting the cart before the horse.
I am against some of the things you have done together but that aside you expecting marriage from someone you barely know means you watch too much of Zeeworld (meant as a joke please)
Sister, relax, life is in stages, never rush a lifetime decision process, you can't do a carry over of married life.
Lines are falling in place, you are comfortable, don't mess those up with hasty life decision making.
Wish you the very best!

samnaija:

You did not say the amperage your inverter is bringing out, it seems inadequate also the solar panels.
You should be replacing into your batteries about 22 to 25 amps both from panels and inverters.. solution add more panels , likely add an external charger, tubular batteries are stubborn.
Thank you sir,
from the EPever charge controller at 3:20PM today have this PV readings: 57V, 1.6A and 926kwh.
I do not know if the above makes sense or useful please.
Thank you
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by peaceland(m): 11:51am On Jul 27, 2021
Dear all,
Please I need your help.
At inception I was using 2 sealed maintenance free batteries which I believed to be 200ah each.
After about 4 years of usage I opted for the 220ah luminous wet cell batteries which I bought at their authorized store so most likely correctly rated.
The challenge now is that it takes forever for the batteries to get charged using solar or generator.
Unlike before on a normal day the 2 batteries get fully charged by 3pm but now by same 3pm it is just 1 or 2 bars on the epever charge controller.
We did not touch any other thing other than change the batteries.
However, at the point of replacing the batteries the technician noted that the dry maintenance free batteries are actually lesser than the claimed 200ah each but I put that down to technician rivalry.
The batteries only get fully charged now with PHCN power, not even with generator like before.
I have 2 solar panels from inception.
Please is there a way I can determine what is wrong with the connection.
Is there a way to determine the ratings of the panels without having to go way up the roof?
Someone told me the panels may be inadequate which if true may mean that truly the initial batteries were lesser than expected 200ah.
Can the difference in 200 – 220ah be that significant to cause slow charging (assuming the first set were 220ah)
Please how can I narrow down the possibilities?.
Thank you dear all.
Politics / Re: Matawalle: There Are 30,000 Armed Bandits Across The North by peaceland(m): 3:50pm On Apr 02, 2021
Penguin2:
I am not a Tinubu fan but his suggestion of recruitment of 50,000 youths into the military was spot on. Even as I don't understand why some people criticized it.

If you asked me, I'd suggest the number be increased to 100,000.

Recruit any youth who is young and fit irrespective of qualification because those terrorists don't ask for 5 credits in WAEC before they recruit their fighters yet the so called "illiterates" keep giving our military bloodied nose at battlefield.

Deploy about 5,000 men into each of those flashpoint areas with moderate equipment and let me see how those bastards won't be overpowered.

When the war is won, absolve some into the civil service, draft others into reserve and let those who wish to continue a career in the military to continue.

This thing is not rocket science.

If we have to match the number of bandits before we can secure the territories, then we are not fighting intelligently.
We do not need to have an army equal in size to the insurgents to win, just commitment and better strategy.
Thank you.
