Good day all, 1. please I need information on the most suitable type of wood to use as base for a water tank on iron scaffold that will last. I have seen some that after few days of exposure to water and sunlight buckles and crashes the tank 2. name of the wood, features and going prices will be appreciated 3. Also is it advisable to line the top with nylon before placing the tank or that will promote dampness? 4. lastly, who is responsible for fixing water heater?, plumber or electrician?. Thanks all. |

@ all, Pardon me if I am wrong, seems we are all focussed on the environment they study in. However, I noticed that (it seems) boys are seated in the front row and girls at the back. If I am right, then a short sighted girl has triple disadvantage: uncomfortable seating; inability to see the board & financial incapacity/lack of knowledge of eyeglasses. I am more concerned about this because I experienced what being short sighted and having to sit at the back ( because I am tall) can mean to you, you have to be guessing what the teacher is writing. I hope I am wrong though. Thanks. |

Good day sir, 1. perhaps you can assist with few samples of Spanish porcelain tiles and their prices sir. 2. secondly and very importantly; what are the tips to determine the quality of CERAMIC China/local tiles. I have read online for determining porcelain but most sites silent on ceramic while no info on the local ( or are they China?) ceramic tiles. thanks for your assistance sir, I know you are busy. rotecch77: All spanish tiles are not pack the same in carton, so it's little difficult to give the price per carton |

@ EgunMogaji, @ topsy23, Perhaps this will help I have physically seen a project he handled. I am not a technical person but from my observation he is quite detailed. They used a plump; set lines and markings and all to get correct levels on the said site and I think some of their red pen markers still there. Quite detailed and they really took their time; not in a rush and on that particular site his work was very neat. However it is not a big job site like yours sir. Thank you. EgunMogaji: I'll be interested to see samples of your surface and surface conduit writings that you've done.
I was titulated to see a level being used in your pictures.
Correct height and straightness of switched and outlets are one of my pet peeves in finishes.

thanks, however not that alien to dogs, just not a fan, my family though loved them so they are the main factor for getting one since I will not be around all time, want one that I can trust my kids around. compound big enough to play and train one in the cost of maintenance not an issue by God's grace. the toy likes are however a no no for me, feeling of providing sort of security another reason for getting one which the toy like ones would not provide. feels I may not be able to train a Caucasian or GSD adequately as a first time full time dog owner. NEW QUESTION: what are the top 'tropicalised' breeds around? thanks. arcbay: For a starter, I'll advice you start with a toy breed. Toy breeds like the lhasa are well known for their low maintenance. They don't eat much, don't poo or pee much, they're trainable, good around kids and can be successfully bred indoors.
It's better u start with a toy breed, after sometime you can get a heavier breed...

@ op, what is the most practicable dog breed for a first timer in nigeria? online says golden retriever but seems a rare breed in nigeria. relatively easy to train and can be trusted around kids while not those toy looking fashion kind of dogs. thanks |

Thanks sir for the response, however I must confess I am still a bit unclear here. 1. for the little property we are working on, is that 1 or 3 phase? 2. how do you physically differentiate a 3 phase from 1 phase meter? 3. since only 1 line/phase/cutout can be working at a time, why will consumption/power cost on 3 phase be higher than 1 phase meter. Thanks sir topsy23: It depends boss, it can use single phase meter or single phase meter. Single phase can be converted to 3-phase with the help of looping either from the cut-out or changeover switch but if you have 3-phase equipment or appliance in the house this method is not advisable, the appliance or equipment will not work.
And again if the total load of your house is more than 60A it is advisable you go for 3-phase meter so that u can split the the total load into 3-wires
Sorry for getting back late
Thanks |

topsy23: Size of cable(wire) depend on the total load of the building. Total load normally depend on numbers of AC, water heater. Since you are using 3-phase distribution boards it means the cable is going to be 4-core I.e red, yellow, blue and black but a separate cable for the earth.
We have the cables in different sizes: 6mm 4-core pvc 10mm 4-core pvc 16mm 4-core pvc 25mm 4-core pvc Etc........ sir a 3 phase db will use a 3 phase meter i believe? |

Thanks a lot ma gabbytabby: if it's the wrong wood ie not hard wood there is nothing you can do save for replacing. If it's hardwood then you need to ensure that it is sprayed with sandi sealer and lacquer from the onset.
lagos is an ikon termite land such that at times no matter what you do they get to it in the end especially if the place is not cleaned out regularly and depending on the wood type. |
