MrBrownJay1: if the man is your wife's best friend then he must come often to your house and you should know everything about him because you guys hang out together often, right? now, if that "best" friend only meet her when you are not present, and you dont meet the guy just as often as she meets him, then you best question the type of r/ship they have. OP, try to separate comments from men vs boys. This one na man comment, most I've read are from boys. Try to know the fella more for ya peace of mind |

Truth is our maintenance culture is terrible so it feels safer for me to take public road transport rather than ferry. if a BRT bus us poorly maintained it'll break down on the road and offload its passengers into another BRT while ferry might sink!
Of course there are safety measurements in place but its only a matter of time before such measures are cut corners on one after the other and I'd rather be safe than sorry. better late than never for me Bro, how many boat mishaps have u heard of in Lagos or even Nija, buh one jux happened I America killing a family of 9 relatives |

VULCAN: Was it on purpose that you ignored what he recounted about the help he has given to his wife and her family so far(knowing that he would have done much more but space will not allow him itemise them all)?
Or your eyes just went straight to a statement he made to his wife which is a normal response to their excessive demands and expectations from him? Oga that statement carries a lot of weight. Let's say his wife mentions such a thing, will he take it lightly? If my wife should say she has no business pleasing my family then I will understand that she doesn't love me enough and it will bring problem in our marriage. If the guy doesn't go out of his way for his own family, the woman will be very stupid to demand it of him, it's because he does it for his own family that is why she makes the demand bro. If we learn to go into marriage with the opinion that our in-laws have become our family too, it will solve many problems. If my wife doesn't accept and treat my mother like hers, there will be problem, the same thing if I don't accept and treat her family as mine, she will also create her own problem too. This is what the brother is facing today. Maybe his family turn up unannounced and he picks them up so his wife might wanna test him with hers too. Marriage no easy bro |

joa2013: My wife and her family members are driving me crazy. Their involvement in my home is becoming embarrassing. I may have to give my wife the red card asap. Her family poke noses into all my affairs. How I spent my money, who I give my money to, who I visit, and so on. All they want is to continue to expend money on them and live my life for them. I got their daughter a job, her salary isn't enough for them, how can I be taking care of able bodied men who have refused to work with their certificates, looking for jobs with good pays before they'll work, their pensioner father is not also helping matters, very difficult to please. I have made it known to my wife that our marriage contract did not include pleasing her family members but she won't listen then I worked my transfer from Lagos to Abuja, yet they're on my neck. My wife's younger brother is presently in Abuja without any clear cut mission other than to come and monitor my affairs. He called me around 7pm yesterday to tell me he's in Utako and that I should come and pick him from pack, I told him I didn't invite him to Abuja so why should I pick him up? I asked him if he didn't have a mission before coming and why he should get to Abuja before notifying me that he's coming to my place. I shunned him and switched off my phone. I switched on the phone now only to read 3 abusive text messages from my wife and one from her father threatening that if anything happens to his son, I'll be held responsible. My people, can you see my life? My pastor have been trying to broker peace between us before I left for Abuja to no avail, what I intended to do is to settle down here and get her relocated so that if she's a bit far from her family, things will work out. I'll instruct a lawyer to file divorce papers tomorrow, I can no longer take it. This is the main problem in your marriage bro. How you treat your family and hers matters to her, she won't understand if you take care of yours buh want nothing to do with hers. Chairman, try change this attitude for a better marriage |

Dottore: If this had happened in Nigeria: people would have blamed the contractor that did the road or
blamed someone for importing substandard Tyres from China or
blaming SON for allowing the fake products to infiltrate the market.
While some will be somewhere blaming village people for WITCHCRAFT. while
Nairaland Scientist wannabes and "I too knows" would divide themselves into subgroups: Some would concoct some fake scientific principle and blame the reams of the truck or an innocent vulcunizer
Some would blame 'Kazeem' for not balancing and aligning the wheels.
Another Nairaland faction would say the Tyre specs are not suitable for the truck.
Some would say it's because it's Belgium Tyres.
Some would say the owner of the truck doesn't maintain the trucks by not replacing the Tyres when due. Naija I hail thee. Guy you know ya people wella |

UKmigrant: Some things are beginning to come to light to me in my few months of being here. As a Nigerian, most people (other immigrants) think they are better than you. Ghanaians, Zimbabweans, Asians all think they are better than you . You only need to have deep interaction with people around for you to know how condescending they could be. Some Nigerians who were born here or who have been here longer also sort of think they are better people, you are even more likely to have problems with these ones than other immigrants. This thing weak me o Bro don't you think they are better than u? |

therealprinceuk: I was denied visa 2 days ago but I still don't know why I was denied, and no I wasn't desperate as I have visas for SA, UK, Turkey etc. It was supposed to be a family vacation, in NYC 4 nights, NJ 4 nights at my aunt's house and 2 nights in Arizona At the Grand Kenyon. This is how the interview went...
I greeted the woman but she didn't mind me, she asked for my passport which I handed over to her. she should be above 50 years old, in window 6 or 7, I can't remember. Next time if I ever go back I won't greet them, it seems they don't accept greetings...
In fact when she called me I was happy bc she approved visa for the lady that she interviewed before me. In my heart I didn't want to go to the first lady in window 6 or so, she's very young pretty babe, while I was in the long queue, she interviewed about 7 people and all were refused lol. So back to my interview, the lady asked where are you going to in USA. I mentioned New York, New Jersey and Arizona. She asked have you traveled before, I said yes I have traveled to 10 countries in Asia, Europe and Africa, I presently have 3 visas on my passport. She asked whats your monthly income, I said between 2.5 to 4 million Naira monthly depending on the volume of sales. She said is that profit, I said no profit is between 400k to 500k monthly. She asked if I was traveling alone, I said no my wife and kids live in the UK, I was traveling to London to meet them so all of us will travel together. She said sorry I am refusing your visa, the reasons and details are in this paper, she handed me the paper, I left...
My question is, why was my visa refused? She did not look at any of my documents apart from my passport. I am not part of the Nigerians that are running away from Nigeria, if I wanted to run away I will be living in UK since 13 years ago bc my wife is British and I have UK visa. But I choose to live in Nigeria even though my wife used to question this decision but I always asked her, is it bc am a black man? If you married an America or Australian will you mandate him to relocate to your country? I am not a billionaire but I am happy that by living in Nigeria and having some businesses here I am helping to grow the economy. Even if its a pure water business or akara that am selling, every month I pay my staffs so I am directly or indirectly feeding many families. I am a serial entrepreneur, every year I travel to top tourist destinations in Europe and Africa and I always come back within 2 or 3 weeks, all the visas and stamps are in my passport, we wanted to go to USA bc I wanted to know if its worth the hype. Besides america is the worlds most important country, I feel I need to visit there even if its for one week.
Why was my visa refused? Is is bc of the cities we intend traveling to or what, NEW YORK, NEW JERSEY AND ARIZONA? Anyways I do not blame these people, if you see the crowd at the embassy you will put in measures to stop as many people as possible . I know for a certainty these countries can NEVER give visa to every Nigerian/African that qualifies for the visa otherwise their won't be enough space to contain everyone.
We will be spending our annual family vacation in Turkey and Greece, if I am in a good mood in December or early next year I may reapply the USA visa but for now I still dey vex bc I shouldn't struggle to get visa to go and spend my hard earned money in someone's country. Bro nah we de fall our hand, some people are too desperate and we don't even know how to code things. Everybody wants to apply at once, as many times as possible to secure US visa. The mistake u made was saying you earn N4million after u changed it to N400K monthly. She felt u lied & because of the large crowd she didn't have time to give you a chance for defense |

Correction, marriage is not 99% dependent on a woman for success especially when a man is supposed to be the head and leader of the home.
You, oga are very unfair to your wife. Imagine if it was your sister, daughter or even mother going through this crisis. If she was my sister, I won't find fault with her at all. She never acted as if the house was hers, it's clear that it's in her name for security reasons. If not, she would be a destitute today as you are capable of asking her to leave because of an ordinary argument. Oga, you have the property which you built for your parents, me and you know that it's your property not your parents. I read your wive's thread but ignored it thinking she was lying as women can be full of drama but you have confirmed the truth. You are 95% wrong. |
