I will never understand why these same people that characterize Igbos as leeches on society also like supporting the "One Nigeria" mantra. Like why don't they also support Igbos being expelled from the Nigerian state. Like why can't South East and majority Igbo SouthSouth areas cam just be expelled from Nigeria as its own country. Because why do you think they are in Lagos in the first place?. When Ghanains were flooding into Nigeria in the 70s and 80s as soon as Nigerians no longer wanted them here, they were easily expelled. If you are really tired of Igbos coming to your land. Give them their own country and expell all of them there. Hell, even build wall around Igboland and be happy that you will never see them again. |

One correction The relationship between Igbos and Yoruba is far older than that between Hausa and Yoruba. Ile Ife had Igbo communities, that were chased out when the O'odua dynasty came to power and settled just a few kilometers south. The community there is Igbo and they claim their origin from when they were forced to relocate from Ile Ife. Stop believing Fulani lies. Southern Nigeria had always has a sort of relationship between each other before the North. |
The Sin of Blasphemy against the Holy spirit is also translated sometimes as grieving the Holy spirit. The most common theological explanation of this is that it means praying for forgiveness without believing, without Faith. We know that we need to have Faith in God for God to answer our prayers so grieving the Holy spirit means to be in a state where you have no faith at all in God and his Holy spirit. That is why it is unforgivable, because you become incapable of asking for forgiveness. |
Is this thread still on? |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xoB9yYfDGBI Apparently the soldiers blocked both sides of the toll gate and periodically stop shooting (probably to reload) |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IUj2i_K8oY0 Apparently SARS came and joined the shooting soldiers and the bodies not taken to hospitals were taken by the army |
UceeGod:Quick make this into a story with a reputable news outlet like Vanguard. |
Afamed:And you don't understand how people work. Elders for over 60 years have taught the youths that only force and corruption is how you get power. Either the Youths learn this and become corrupt thugs and those that don't learn cannot compete in the system that rewards corruption and thugery, so are silent onlookers like you. |
thebosstrevor1:No, it means the Elders are responsible for turning the Youths into thieves. |
You hear. Nigeria is not one If it was one tribes won't be killing each other at the drop of a hat. The farce is killing people. Break of this farce
|
mekaboy:Boko Haram didn't harm anyone until government sent army to kill their leader. Do you actually want to create another Boko Haram situation in the East?. Nobody should listen to this idiot. They just want to further divide and destroy Igbos |
omenka:Are you an idiot. Who is taking reports of missing person with Lagos in a state of Anarchy? |
Xisnin:In you opinion did the Zamfara killings by Bandits of 20 happen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTqqsqhHM8o Because we have as much evidence of corpses in the videos of Lekki Massacre. And if you want to directly see the body, then which other killings in Nigeria is the same standard held. Nobody don see the body of this Zamfara, Shi'ite, many villages attacked by Boko Haram and Fulani Herdsmen after the initial video/burial. Are they all fake now?, Is the Nigerian Government now fighting ghost? |
The Lekki incident definitely isn't fake. Channels Tv did a report in it the next day and the Night just after the incident. Bullets and Bullet holes were seen around there. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3tPOpHkRNFI This is the immediate aftermath of the shooting https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVHkdiZCEAQ People running away during the shooting https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sq5NUaz-4-I Soldiers. You can see that the angle they hold the guns at, it is aimed directly at the protesters https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XltrAhpjpfA Brigadier General Francis Omata who was accused of leading the killings has indirectly conformed it as he claims he was there trying to stop the killings. (This story has been confirmed but is only one of the many arguments that proves what happened) https://www.withinnigeria.com/2020/10/21/brigadier-francis-omata-clears-the-air-on-lekkimassacre-names-officer-who-led-the-operation/ Lagos governour himself said he visited the survivours in the hospital. https://www.punchng.com/lekki-shootings-sanwo-olu-visits-wounded-protesters-at-lagos-hospitals/ Let us not forget that this isn't out of Character for the Nigerian Military. 72 Shi'ites Protesters at most armed with stones, killed in Abuja, 300 Shi'ite protesters killed in Kaduna, the entire young male population of several villages killed in Borno under the name of fighting Boko Haram, Boko Haram itself started when the army killed them while they were still peaceful protesters, several Ogoni protesters were gunned down during Obasanjor's reign. Gunning down peaceful protesters is in Character for Nigerian Government. Only thing that isn't clear now is if the same happened in Kubwa or if the similutaneous deaths on the 20th in Abuja are only from the attacks by government sponsored hoodlums as seed here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZC0bxF-sxw I have also seen videos of people being rushed to ambulances and rudimentary surgery done one them. There are also pictures of 3 protester in their full protester attire dead. The governour has actually confirmed 2 dead, but I assure you that the government number will continue going up as it has gone from 0 to 1 to 2. This was breaking news. Channels Tv got there that Night not long after and the many people they Interview and the many people, protesters and onlookers that posted videos on this incident didn't report any other actors except for the protesters and army. And tell me why you are assuming someone else was there exactly? Non of the protesters said anyone was there, official army discourse said the massacre never happened not that someone else did it, Brigadier Francis Omata that was confirmed present also only reported that there were protesters and army present, so did Channels Tv who came to the spot twice on the Night it happened and on the next day, same with all the videos that we have. Yet we should assume some invisible 3rd party?. Did you not see the other videos? Here we see them shooting into the protesting crowd. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XltrAhpjpfA And for those saying "Curfew was by 9 so no way Military would be there before 9" the Nigerian Military is known to systematically break protocol. Killing of Gana a few months ago was while he was supposed to be under Amnesty provided by the governour of Benue. So, so many break of protocol and extra-judicial killings in Borno over the whole Boko Haram thing. It is very common for the military to break protocol, after all, under the current system they don't have to report to anyone in the civilian government but the president when under going their operations, same with Police. Everything is tied to the center. Again we have the bodies for the people, that is from where Amnesty International and Nigeria Feminists got their casualty numbers from. Unfortunately I couldn't find the full video but 1:56 on this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ex8nBa-JaRk we see that the injured and dead were vacated that same Night from the scene after and during the protests. https://www.instagram.com/tv/CGre80EDMjT/?igshid=c9sb5o6350bm DW here again confirms the removal of the CCTV cameras as well as the shooting by the Nigerian Army. Exactly as the protests, channels and feminist coalition said. Okay, reported number of dead has stabilized at 12 Feminism Coalition Nigeria seems to agree, with the about 50 for the confirmed deaths nation wide through out the protests. Premium times reported 12 https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/422003-sanwo-olu-blames-shooting-of-lekki-protesters-on-forces-beyond-his-control.html Amnesty international reported 12, which was quoted by international news outlets like Aljerzerra and refinery29. https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2020/10/20/nigerian-security-forces-use-live-fire-to-disperse-protesters Channelstv also did a report but I couldn't find where they gave figures. And there reporters were there the same Night and the next day. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3tPOpHkRNFI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8KvgFKRrklE https://www.channelstv.com/2020/10/20/several-dead-others-injured-as-security-operatives-shoot-at-lekki-endsars-protesters-witnesses/amp/ And for those saying that Amnesty international isn't a credible source, who then is the credible source?. You Nigerian government that says dragon and monkey eat loan is more credible?. And as for Amnesty International, go through the Wikipedia page of controversies relating to them and you see. Them being accused of contradictory vices like of being both pro and anti western, lol. When you are being accused about being biased by both Western and non-western states in cases where they have a vested interest in you being wrong, they are probably just sore of getting exposed. Only really incriminating thing here is the embezzling charge and I have seen much worse from many other actors, Nigerian Government included. I am just impressed by how much you trust the Nigerian government, the same government that lies constantly, about defeating Boko Haram (but still budgets for weapons to be used against them), about corruption (Kano governour caught on camera collecting bribe), contradictory (Army says nothing happened government says something else). Anyway you slice it Amnesty international is more credible than the Nigerian Government. It ain't only Amnesty international, Nigerian Feminists coalition, Premium times and DW too has brought out numbers. The only possible defence left is that the people that commited the crime were not soldiers but just dressed in soliders uniform and used soldier gear. Well given how the Nigerian Army has extra-judicially made camouflage illegal and soldier equipment (Guns, Military grade bullet proof) are heavily restricted, the only people that could be in the position to kit about 20 men in uniform and Weapons are high ranking Government officials, whether Civilian or Military. |
Afamed:Because the "Elders" taught them how not to have "sense of reasoning" |
Afamed:Their elders already sold Nigeria. Why are all our refinaries not working for example? Why do we have debts that would take over 40 years to pay back? |
homosapien:True, only thing I would fault the protests for. |
9jatriot:The four other times that they "listened to the voice of reason" as soon as they sat down the government run by Elders ignored them. The Elder's government is the one that threw out "voice of reason" |
9jatriot:And who frustrated the Youths so much that they felt they had to result to that? The Elders destroyed Refinary so that they can steal subsidy money and the Youths pay with high cost of living and no Jobs. The Elders refused to invest anything in social or security infrastructure and the youth pay with lives. The Elders have blocked police reform the dozens of other times it came up in the past, even this time with "SWAT" the same people that made up SARS with the same laws, organization and powers. Almost every elder in Nigeria deserves a lynching |
thebosstrevor1:Who did the Youths learn that behaviour from? Is it not the elders that have been robbing the country blind since even before 1960? You sow what you reap. The Elders sowed corruption and are now reaping a generation raised in corruption. |
thebosstrevor1:Who did the Youth learn that horribly behavior from if not their Elders? |
Is this even a question? Who has been in power for 60 years, driving the country further and further into decline, the youths or the elders? Who paid the thugs that attacked #EndSARS protesters from the beginning?, The Elders Who engineered a system of poverty and tribalism that has made it so easy to turn Nigerians against Nigerians? The Elders Who has claimed to disband/reform SARS 4 times before and did nothing? The Elders Who has destroyed any trust that people place in government by always betraying their promises? The Elders. Go back and continue licking the boots of your pay masters 9jatriot. |
DaFuhrer:Bullets are dense and made to be Aerodynamic, that is how. |
officialfestus:Bullets kill by their force and speed not their heat |
Enwhen:The only thing stopping a falling bullet from killing someone is air resistance caused terminal velocity. Again, in ideal conditions energy input = energy output so that a falling bullet has the same speed and energy as a bullet shot. However, air resistance saps some of this energy and the Bullet would typically reach ground at terminal velocity (since the terminal velocity is less than the shot velocity), thus the question is if a bullet traveling at terminal velocity can kill, which it can at high angles. Also more Aerodynamic bullets have higher terminal velocity. So some bullets won't kill at their terminal velocity and others would. And I watched the video. There were soldiers there shooting directly at the protesters. |
Lagoon0:No government has done similar to Northerners too when they killed Shi'ites |
"One Nigeria" If we were actually One Nigeria, we won't be killing each other at the drop of the hat. Split up this farse. It is for everyone's benefit |
