onatisi: i don talk am b4 ,na aiye do am.
awon iya agba
aiye mojuba
that guy had a bright future but for reasons best known to the killers they killed him b4 he could achieve anything.maybe he would have been the one to elevate his family name
dude, you are getting me wrong. what i meant was that somebody actually took a knife and stabbed the guy. i am basing my assumption on
1)nobody saw the guy stab himself (they just assumed he did),
2)it is practically impossible for a guy to stab himself twice without screaming
3)it is almost impossible for a guy to stab himself thrice

from what i can deduce from the story, this is not a suicide, somebody definitely killed him
PoliticsRe: Documentary On Poverty And Corruption In Nigeria by PeeDaVinci: 11:56am On Apr 14, 2013
firstly, i would like to commend the effort of the ishayo bako for producing this documentary, it shows the plight of nigerians - suffering in the midst of plenty.
however, despite the fact that i hate gej and pdp govt, i would like to say here that the documentary facts and analysis are not detailed for a thorough argument, and it does not attempt to present a balanced argument(e.g from pple pro-govt). it also did not provide possible solutions to the problems it highlighted. it however, succeeded in appealing to emotions (the essence of politics).
note that i am not excusing the monumental failure of the retardeen on the throne.

maybe they should start by giving us their clear definition of poverty, they can then follow it by stating the source, methodology of collection and analysis of their data
RomanceRe: When Your Partner Doesnt Compromise For Love's Sake by PeeDaVinci: 12:07pm On Apr 03, 2013
i would have been better placed to advise you if i hear the man's part of the story. you know what, in a loving relationship, everybody make sacrifices, but sometimes, both spouses refuse to see the sacrifices made by their partner and you think you are the only caring person and the (wo)man is not responsive, look critically, and put yourself in his shoes for your assertion may not be the case. Just a couple of things
- why are you living like married when you are not? this is nigeria, and given our present cultural leanings, living as married when you are not will have its consequences (such as u r experiencing now), question is can you live with it?
-from what you said, it seems your man is a bit lazy in doing somethings, however, beside the laziness, does he really love you, do you think he has (or both of you)a great future, if the answer is yes, then, the question again is can you live with a man lazy in doing some things, but helpful in others (i bet he has his strenghts too and can be helpful in so many ways). note that you are gonna have a hard time initially after u r married coz of this laziness thingie though, but never nag coz of this, it will make matters worse
- on his percieved weakness (laziness), dont place too much expectation on him, you will always be disappointed
-set boundaries on what you can do for him without hurting your feelings, honestly, you dont have to wash his clothes, let him do it, you dont have to travel to meet him in where-ever at your inconvinience, if he really loves you and misses you, he will make effort to always come to see you
- you can help me to change by creating an loving, but strict atmosphere which is conducive for change (how you do this is up to you)

Forum GamesRe: The Biggest April Fool Trick You Played On Someone? by PeeDaVinci: 1:33pm On Apr 01, 2013
this was played on everybody in my compound in my university days - around 4:30 am, we heard a loud distressing knock at our door that one of our neighbours was dying, we rushed out half-dressing , confused, trying to make sense of what is happening and what we can do to help , and on getting there and we saw her lying lifeless and foaming profusely, and her room-mates were shielding neighbours from getting close to her, suddenly, she sat up and smiled and said - "april fool". needless to tell u about pple's reaction

sometimes we focus so much on executive and legislative arm of govt that we forget our judiciary is contributing by no small means to the backwardness of this country. i wish the same hand of fellowship can be extended to okah cohorts and cronies, i wish the same is done to these politicians stealing us dry, not in anywhere else, but in nigeria. however, i think virgin birth of Jesus will be easier to accomplish than my wishes

given the fact that this govt rewards criminals (both x-militants and stealing politicians), truth is dat if i am a niger deltan living in the creeks with no job, and i can find other individuals like me, i will definitely create a militant group.

byrron: “That is an action that has been taken by the National Council of States and I have no apology for that.” Mr. Jonathan said. “We must begin to respect and honour our institutions. I don’t need to defend the action that has been taken.”

is GEJ the national council of states? im confused ooooo or is it that i cant read and understand things again?
who are the members of the national council of states?
understanding the highlighted words above will help us all to be rational first, comprehend and then stop posting subjective comments here cause it also makes us look more clueless than the one we all call clueless.
Dude, dont be deceived by the national council of states (ncs) argument. it is argument of a man that can not stand up to take responsibility for his action. We run a presidential system, and executive decisions is not subject to majority decision of whatever council they want to name it, it rests solely on the president . to explain this a little more to you, at that stupid ncs meeting, the thief pardoning decision would still have passed even if NOI had objected, but if the president objects, then, the decision become dead ab initio even if every other person supports it (by the way, the discussion will never even be raised in the first place)

CrimeRe: Professor Arrested With $1 Million At Lagos Airport by PeeDaVinci: 11:48pm On Feb 21, 2013
rubbish, rubbish, rubbish!!!! what has the prof done wrong, what was his crime, when does owning money, and declaring it before travelling out become a crime? on what ground /suspicion are they detaining him? maybe the custom should then start arresting politicians e.g. gej who suddenly became billionaire overnight after getting to political office with no obvious source of income, because frankly, they can not account for their billions too
Jobs/VacanciesRe: What Is The Worth Of A Phd Financially? by PeeDaVinci: 11:53am On Feb 08, 2013
StephenAyo: @drzed &@PeeDaVinci: u both ve rightly answered the OP n others wt myopic reasoning.
For as many out there wt d goal of reachn dt level of academic relevance(just as me), the stress&price PhD demands s far less dn d prestige and opportunities it offers when achieved.
Very soon, all present faculties in our universities, DGs of MDAs would vacate their positions, definitely, fresh bloods must step in. We set d pace&direct d affairs of ds nation @d management level.
my point is this: if your motivation for going for phd is money, chances are that you will be disappointed. but if you are driven by quest for knowledge, and opportunity chart the course of development of your community and humanity through scientific reasoning, you are likely going to be fulfilled, and in the process, you may become rich.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: What Is The Worth Of A Phd Financially? by PeeDaVinci:
speaking as a phd holder who is now working in the industry - phd is just another form of work experience. however, as opposed to the focus on productivity and profit in the industry, it is a form of on-the-job-training on how to conceptualize ideas, and propose solutions in cutting edge science. so, talking about innovations, phd holders are deemed to be more skillful (not always) than people with normal work experience. phd does not translate to better pay, actually, it restricts the positions you can take in a lot of ways as only a few non phd holders have the guts to boss a phd holder. having said that, phd earns you respect, believe me, anywhere in the world. your job mobility potential increases, getting work visas in other countries becomes easier, there is the tendency to always consider you before a non phd holder in several places. but like i said, it does not translate to better pay
PoliticsRe: A Nairalander's Ilorin To Lagos Train Experience by PeeDaVinci: 10:31pm On Feb 07, 2013
why do we condemn everything and everything sometimes for no just reason. i am not a gej supporter and will never be (check my previous posts). however, bring the trains back is a good development. However small this may be, it is positive and a step in the right direction, however, the issue is that a lot more needs to be done, and i strongly doubt gej will be able to deliver on this (to me, a synonym for failure is gej)

This tout wants to demolish Fakunle Comprehensive High School (one of the best public secondary school in the state, and by the way, my alma mater) and turn it into a bus park. Perhaps this shows more of his priority. any of this political jobbers on this forum should please speak to him to desist from taking this action
