@jude... : i am not saying that okotie is in the process of divorce. but this story of banning church members from talking about the issue is what i am having issues with. it is quite possible that okotie said it, but from the way the OP presented the story, it is most probably a fabricated story

i doubt the authenticity of this story - the OP posted rubbish/dead link, the OP never said he visited the church or heard it from some video recording or from someone who attends the church. so easy to make the front page . . . just cook up a story tha the mods want to hear, and provide a fake link . . . and the next day, you wil be on the front page.

Note : i am not saying this is not possible, but from the way the OP structured and presented his/her story, it is most probably a cooked up story

i see this situation differently, doctors (and as a matter of factor, any employee (union or otherwise) ) should be free to go on strike, however, no worker must be paid for the period for which they are on strike. i think if we have a "no work, no pay " policy, employees will think critically about the gains and losses of a strike before before going on some kind of stupid strike e.g. solidarity strike. can u imagine workers of PZ going on strike in solidarity with sacked staffs of unilever

Some communities in northern part of Borno State that have never enjoyed electricity from the Nigerian National Grid will soon get light from the neighboring Niger Republic.Commissioner for housing and rural electrification, Alhaji Sugun Mai Mele, who stated this in Maiduguri yesterday while briefing journalists on the activities of his ministry, said the decision was taken because it is easier to tap light from Niger for the Borno communities that are closer to the francophone country in the northern fringes.

The commissioner said after negotiating with authorities in Niger Republic, the state government had completed the "33KVA line electrification network to Mallamfatori (in Nigeria) and the installation of substation and breaker in Bosso town of Niger Republic."

He said the project will open door for some communities in northern parts of Borno State to enjoy uninterrupted power supply from what Niger got from its dedicated line in Nigeria.He said the state government had installed dozens of electricity transformers in order to resuscitate small and medium scale businesses but lamented the delay in the completion of the multi billion naira 330KVA power project which will improve supply to Yobe and Borno States from Gombe. "The state government had provided a 33KV to Damboa Road; we have also done the electrification of Shuwari 11and rehabilitated the 33 KVA line at Manda Girau in Biu as well as Biu-Marama-Pete-Hema-Shani electrification network," he said.

He added that transformers have been installed at the Maiduguri Maximum Prison, JTF headquarters, Miringa town in Biu, Neitel Shoe Factory and Trailer Park but frowned that the impacts of the projects are rarely felt because of poor supply from the national grid.

Mele described Borno as the worse hit by epileptic power supply in the country. "The highest we get is less than 7 megawatts and this include what we consume here as well as the dedicated line that takes light to Damasak (in Borno State) and part of Niger Republic," he said.

So if a man works for security company for 25 years, does that qualify him to be the head of the SSS in a nation? DO you know what the job of the cbn governor involves? There is only one cbn in a country and banks dont do what cbn functions entail. He lectured as a graduate assistant and maybe junior lecturer in economics. do you know of any published economic paper written by sanusi that was published in a peer reviewed journal of the economics community? Is he an economic intellectual or a hands on economics expert? what skills and expertise does he bring to the job, except his being a kano prince? what exactly were his job functions/roles when he worked in banking? if youve ever worked in a naija bank, you will know thats one of the last places where you practise real economics.

do u want to compare 25 years of work experience at the management level in banks to maybe 2 years of masters degree and possibly 4 years of phd??

i've heard the argument that pple will most likely stick to the vows they personally wrote, however, many pple do not write vows based on the deep-seated feelings of their heart, but wat sounds nice and romantic - which they are less likely to stick to at the end of the day.
