Good day all,

Has anyone attempted to change mailing address for you PR card, the address I first quoted upon landing has changed and I would like to update it. When I use the online IRCC service, it says my records are not found. I have equally visited service Canada and they just give you a number to call, which does not find my record either. I would not want my card mailed to the old address.

Thanks

Please stop misleading people. Its shocking how most people think AS-AS is still a death sentence.

Medical Technology in post conception sampling is improving. My guess is in a few years, samples from the fetus can be taken much earlier, read of a research that aims to do that within 2-5weeks of conception (when some ladies don't even know they are pregnant yet), note this does not only affect cases of genotype, it also benefit other forms of genetic anormalies which utilize the same sampling procedure.

So the couple can decide weather to terminate early enough without risk to the mother. Some people would still shout "No Abortion" including the average "slay queen" practicing unsafe sex, that aborts healthy fetus every 3months, and the very next week is back to old habbits.

In a few years this will not even be an issue. Its not that big of an issue right now, for those that are informed. Let no one deceive you or put unnecessary fear in you, If you both are AS and you love yourselves by all means go ahead and get married, just do your research.

Why are many people ignorant about this issue, you had the opportunity even after u married, your lack of research is mind boggling.

I will still advice any AS-AS couple to go ahead with marriage if it will make them happy, just know your options. I know several couples who are both AS and have many children, one couple even has 5 kids, free of SS and they are happier than any AA couple I couple I know. Go ahead with your wife and check the genotype of your child before birth

Here are ur missed opportunities

- You married without a plan even after u knew both of u were AS. I laughed at the part that she failed the test, did u pass the test?
- After marriage you decided to conceived without exploring other conception options like genetic selection and IVF
- You conceived without doing a check on the genotype of the fetus at 10-12 weeks CVS
- You refused to check again at 12-15 weeks ameosynthesis
- You are making another mistake by destroying your home and still not researching how u can avoid the problem next time.

Go and get professional medical advice, speak to a genetist, its not all problems u bring to nairaland, more than half here are ignorant, but will still advice u anyway.

Mend your marriage and do your research, anyone still giving birth to SS children in 2018 shd be prosecuted, you either know your options, come to terms with them and plan. OR u avoid the marriage.

Good day all,

please has anyone recently done the letter of experience from FRSC. I have emailed them through the addresses left on this forum (info@ helpdesk@ NDLverification@ frsc.gov.ng) with my details and the recommended format. Nobody acknowledges the email nor responds, so I dont even know if its going to be processed. Do I need to get someone to process it within the FRSC?. I live in Lagos.

Please anyone who has done it recently can respond.

Guys pls is it appropriate to get my reference letter for my current place of employment now even though I won't be entering the pool until sometimes in February 2019.

Does date on the reference letter matter? Anyone here with out date on their reference letter

- For past employment, I think you can. Since you have concluded that experience and clocked the duration of employment. Mine was almost 6months old

- For current, I dont believe it may be appropriate. I think u should try and make it close enough to your submission time to avoid ADR and delays in your application. Some VOs may accept it, but I believe its left to the discretion of who ever is evaluation your application, you may get ADR for a more current letter.

Good Evening Nairalanders, Please for those that sold a property (Virgin land or built up) to make-up POF. Please what documents did you provide to support your application. Thanks for your kind responses

@ ArcUgo

I used only sale of land as my POF and I did not take any chances, find list provided. Basically I tried to prove the land was mine and Also that I had sold it

- Letter of Explanation detailing the structure of the transaction, costs, names, locations etc. complete with flow diagram(not kidding)
- Land did not have CofO, but I used the govt registered survey plan(in my name) with seal from Alausa
- Deed of Assignment of Original purchase by me
- Deed of Assignment for Sale to the new owner
- Purchase receipt (when I purchased the land)
- Sale receipt to the new owner
- Bank transfer slip New owner to me
- Affidavit of purchase (some people lump this in the Deed)

Hope this helps. No ADR

Tell your father to enclose a cover letter to point out the error to the ECO, and print out the application form and cross out the error with the correct information. Submit this with cover note as part of his documentation. There is is no interview for visitor visa. Only biometric capture and document submission during appointment.

@ekpotek

Someone on the thread below said I should be worried, are u sure the advice u gave would suffice? If he writes a cover note explaining I hope it will be taken into consideration in ECO final decisions.

Thanks alot

Good day House, Please anyone with this experience..

I made a mistake on my Dad's application when filling the online application for Standard Visitors Visa. Should I cancel and ask for refund, while I redo the application OR can this be cleared up when he goes for his interview and biometrics

- Instead of stating the income for the year, I stated income for the month. Rather than N3m/year, I stated 250k/year. Note he has savings of about N1m. And he is not sponsoring himself on the Trip. Should I be worried?

- At what point will the application be evaluated, before the interview OR after the interview when he submits his supporting documents? Can he write a letter(to clear up the figures) and present it during the interview.

Thanks

Good day house,
Can someone please advice. My parents intend to go to the UK to visit my sister.

Mum: Still works and receives her salary (salary account), she also has her savings (savings account). She did a lump sum transfer from the savings to the salary (2weeks to intended application date). She would be presenting only the salary account to cover all expenses of the trip for both of them.
Dad: Is a contractor, no steady income ( he does not intend to use his account).

Now in other to show proof of finance
- Does my dad need to show a letter of sponsorship even if they are married and intend to travel together
- I hope no flags will be raised on the lump transfer

Note: Both have been issues UK visas in the past and have traveled there

Thanks

Good day friends. Pls I posted this on the EE thread but got no responses. I guess someone here might have taken this option and could give me insights. Any help?

Pls, my CRS stands at 430 with the family but if I choose non-accompanying spouse, the CRS jumps to 447 (more like a sure ITA). Without back2back draws, I don't think cut off would come down to 430 any time soon. So I'm most likely going the route of unaccompanied applicant. My questions are:

1. Has anyone successfully got PR here with spouse non-accompanying.?
2. There are claims that the application would be delayed for this reason. Is it true?
3. Am I expected to pay the processing fees for the non accompanying dependants at this time?

I know that POF remains the same, and medicals and PCC are required of them as well. Thanks.

- Correct. But the only reason you should take this option is if your spouse is not a graduate, or she cannot max out on her IELTS (which she can work on) .

- If she evaluates her degree and writes IELTS she can significantly increase your points. Degree can fetch up to 10 additional points while IELTS can give +20. Infact if your spouse evaluates a bachelors and max out IELTS you would get 2-4points higher then if you had applied alone.

- I advice u to get your spouse to put in the work required else u can go alone and follow the brutal path to sponsorship 12months+ after you arrive. Plus you will raise POF for the whole family irrespective of weather u apply alone.

Cheers

Please be careful with whoever you use in changing your naira to CAD (including bureau de change). We (my family) are currently still accused persons in a fraud case over the money we money we bought from a bureau de change in lagos which was transferred to our canadian account. Apparently, some yahoo boys defrauded some Canadian lady and unknown to us, we bought the money.

Sorry about this. Does this mean that if we are exchanging using this means (that transfer naira in nigeria in exchange for CAD in canada) , It may be better to collect cash rather than let the person transfer directly to my canadian bank account ?

Will I be charged heavily for depositing a large amount of cash in my canadian account ?

Hi BabyPipsy

-Can you share what your background experience look like, Is your 3yr experience in Data Analysis, BI Analyst/Developer, Data Engineer or Data Science?

-What tools (in Statistics/Analytics/Visualization/programming) are you equipped with? BI is quite broad and employers tend to recruit based on the tools they use in house.

-Programming knowledge could also be valuable Python,R, C++, Java, JavaScript etc. as you would naturally transition to the more "Hardcore" stuff like Data Science, BigData, AI, etc and have more job options

- What proficiency have you currently built? SAS, Cloudera, Tableau, Qlik, PowerBI, MySQL, SQL Server, IBM, MongoDB, SSIS-SSAS,SSRS, DELL EMC, Python, R, Oracle BI/DBA, MCSA, MSCE, MS Sharepoint, Apache Hadoop-Spark/Pig/Hive/Mapreduce, Scala, Stata, machine learning.

- It may also do you some good to look at ontario too.

Kindly respond

Hello all,

If one has a sibling who is almost at the stage of getting PPR, when can a principal applicant add her details to get the extra 15 points?

1. As soon as she get PPR email
2. After she lands in canada
3. After she receives her PR card

It would be after receiving PR card and getting a document like Canadian driver's licence and/or utility bill with their name and a Canadian address indicated on it to prove the ties here.

@Blackbuddy and elders in the house

I believe these documents should be available at the point of submitting ones application after ITA. However can't she claim the points for sibling as soon as the sibling arrives (before she gets ITA while in the pool). I do not think CIC specified how long the sibling should have resided in canada before you can claim points. So technically If someone lands is Canada the person is
A. A permanent resident
B. Residing in Canada

Also note that she is expected to change her profile if there is a change in circumstance, arrival of a sibling in Canada should qualify as change in circumstance.

Please correct me if I am wrong

Good fit for Arsenal.

He would be like Nicolas Anelka and Thierry Henry when they first arrived to Arsenal. Very pacy

With Mesut Ozil and Mkhitaryan supplying passes, the goals would surely come.

First time i have been excited for Arsenal since Henry left

Arsenal does not need more passing of the ball they already pass too much with nobody to take responsibility of scoring.

Only arsenal will produce this kind of stats, appauling

Match: Arsenal vs Opponent
Possession: 70% vs 30%
Passing: 940 vs 332
Corners: 2 vs 8
Attempts on goal: 3 vs 9
Goals: 1 vs 3

How on earth can u have 70% possession and still loose or draw. What were u doing with the ball, Oh I forgot passing and more passing.

Arsenal needs 2 more strikers, and let them cut loose all their dead strikers, Iwobi, welberg, Gerud. I think Arsenal should pay Chelsea for offloading Olivier Gerud, thats a favour Chelsea is doing them.

Good day everybody in the house
Please I need your advice, am a graduate of adeyemi college of education Ondo afflicted to OAU
I just sent my transcript to wes but the respond I got was the transcript was not sent from the school that awarded the certificate
The problem I have now is I don't know what next to do because its adeyemi that do give transcript not oau am confused please what should I do
Please help a sister I bwg of you

Good day, I know someone that had this same issue, but thank God she has got her Evaluation report now. It was very hectic to resolve this, the institution should just stick to their name, as I believe its the only institution in Nigeria with this challenge.

- The issue is Adeyemi has an affiliation with OAU (as you can see on your certificate), Hence when you create you WES profile It automatically reflects OAU as your school.
- After you send you transcripts from Adeyemi to WES, WES will send an email verification to OAU. Go to OAU-Ife transcript verification unit in Ife and ask them to print out the verification mail along with the attached documents.
- Take note the dates the verification was sent from your WES to Ife, so they can easily locate the email
- Take the documents back to Adeyemi and let them verify and stamp the documents from Adeyemi. Ensure it is sent back to WES via post (Not Email), also ensure you pay for DHL (at Adeyemi) to send the verification to WES.

Make sure that both your Transcript and Verification come from your school Adeyemi. Ask for Mr. Sharp-Sharp at Exams and Records at Adeymi College, he can help.

I hope this helps

Guyz, I got Nova Scotia province nomination on tuesday and relaxing in the pool with a CRS of 900+expecting ITA next week wednesday by God's grace.

I have the following post ITA questions to ask:
1. Where should each/all documents be addressed to. Documents like PoF, employer reference letter, etc.
2. Has anyone successfully paid the application fee with a naira mastercard before especially someone with a family size of 4(considering the amount)
3. The issue of passport photograph, will I be required to upload for every member of the family(including toddlers) or just that of my spouse and I? Also, do I need to resnap another passport at PPR stage after snapping now for submission? Considering the fact that dates and some other info. have to be written at the back of the passports. If PPR comes like 4-6 months, hope the passport won't be too old since they usually say recent passport. How many copies of passports are required?
4. If a substantial amount of money(say 2M) is transferred from spouse's account to PA's account, is there any need to explain it or do gift deed especially when the narrative is something like "spouse immigration support"
5. What item(s) do I need to take to Alagbon, Lagos to obtain police clearance? Will I get it that same day? Who is required to do clearance? Only the PA or with spouse and children?
6. What items to I need to take along for medicals? What will be issued after the medicals at the hospital? Can we(including kids) eat before going for it as it's not advised if sugar level has to be checked?
7. What options do I have in terms of hospitals? The names and locations.
8. Can someone please describe how to drive down to Alagbon and the hospitals?

So sorry for the numerous questions. Just trying to avoid stories that touch ni. lol

Wish everyone here success in this pursuit.

One luv!

I plan on coming back with about 30000 USD and getting myself land/property to my name, complete NYSC, see what the job market is like as well as concurrently starting a one or two provisions stores. Slowly expand on that, with the end goal to become a distributor at the national level.

That money is peanuts for what you have listed here unless u meant 300,000 usd

You do not need to relocate to Nigeria to buy a property. The cash u mentioned can just get you settled say rent a house buy a decent car, and maybe land in the inner suburbs.

You would have burnt through your savings in 3months. As for the biz, 2supermarkets i doubt u will even pay the rent.

As for work, if you are a software developer remain in the US. People with your profile full here, so salaries may not be as competitive as u are still entry level. You can get a job of 7m per annum and above if u are fortunate.
