But it is not fair..u suffer with a man and when he makes it..he goes outside and spend on other ladies leaving u to suffer..it happened to my mom..so I know what I'm saying..u think it does not pain d woman..and if not 4 d children it will be like she suffered in vain.

Dat is y my mom also suffered 4 us. .so dat we won't suffer 4 any man smiley

Well your generation has it better than your mom's, society supports equality and all that to a larger extent than when your mom was young...only a lazy woman in today's world can totally blame a man for her failures, I get the part of companionship in relationship, the chances of women going through what your mom went through back down is lesser

If you try me with this kind of test... you will completely fail, because if I love you, I love you and nothing can stop that.
And if you must act broke with me, you won't act lazy..... being broke doesn't make one lazy.

Nice one! So we still have people who can differentiate between being broke and being lazy, lemme dm you, I want to check something cool cool

My lil sis is a fan of Harry Potter movies and books. I'm not. Since I have a short attention span, I prefer something more fighting and less words.
I am also a huge fan of movies depicting centuries gone by and Sci fi.

Sha watch it first

Politics / Is Buhari Media Center.a.k.a(bmc)real? by Pelxmiye(m): 1:47pm On Nov 22, 2020
I have been hearing a lot about BMC zombies, BMC e-idiots, BMC e-rats? grin grin grin

All these are all conspiracies? sad sad
Do we really have people collecting 20K-30K to distort the truth, create propaganda movements and defend the government aggressively?

I am yet to believe this, recently i saw a screenshot of a WhatsApp group tagged "Buhari Media Center? Was it fake? Do we really have Nairaland users who are members of that group, it's hard to believe ,maybe someone should knock some sense into my head oo, or maybe people who have a clue about it can tell us more about it.

Guys is it real Sha? If it is, then those members must be government spies on Nairaland

Romance / Re: Nigerian Ladies Are Approaching Menopause & No Men To Marry Them - Owerri Lady by Pelxmiye(m): 2:57pm On Nov 18, 2020
pozehnani:
It's not as if there are no men to marry them but the thing is the ones that are coming for them are not up to standard but the ones that tick all the boxes are not forthcoming. This life is just somehow.

Baby girl, don't kill yourself. Maximize your singlehood because even the marriage itself is not an easy task. It's a lifetime load of responsibilities and duties that only the fittest can survive.

My twin is married and I see how she stresses to keep the homefront in order and still manage her business. Even with hubbys support, the stress is something else.

With marriage, you lose yourself, your time, your leisure and "freedom" only to regain it in old age when you're too frail and weak to do anything or have fun again. So enjoy your singlehood while it lasts.

Not totally true though the stress part is a normal side of it...both of them just need to find a balance, Nigeria also plays a role in this wink wink wink, the country's bad bad bad and bad,it's rubs off on our day to day lives, marriages, finance and life expectations, nigerians in general just need to be extra extra patient with one another in this country, I hope she doesn't get depressed cos of the stress ,it's not her fault or her husband's, it's just the country, let them find a way to make themselves happy at least until the calamity called Buhari dies or leaves

whatever I am today, owe more tribute to my friends (guys).

Among us, we have raised a lot of money to support some of our course mates who couldn't secure good jobs for them to start a business to stand.

I have gotten contracts, no interest loans from my male friends.

A course mate of mine once left $50,000 with me for 10 months. I know how much I made with that his money.

Some of the guys in my click have given their house projects to some of our guys just to assist them come up.

All the guys in my click building one building project or another, na one of our guys must execute the project from foundation to roofing.

One of my guys got job with Dangote Refinery through another of our guy who is close to Dangote Brother's PA!

That's why I cherish the guys I know..only few useless ones, and we have already disconnected from such fools anyway

I have friends like that too..we are all pulling ourselves up one by one, good one bro, I have always been a "guys first " person nah

Thank you!! The guy himself is a user!! If that was a boy-child he trained, will he expect marriage and sex in return? There are young guys that need help, men will not help them because they can’t give them anything in return. He thinks if her parents have money to train her in school, they will allow one advanced bachelor to be doing rough play with their daughter because of school fees? Toor!!

Nah small small...if you're a student (in University)...learn something no matter how small, it'll definitely come in handy, most men too survive this way, also... making money and being financially buoyant isn't primarily for anyone other than you, it's your Plan B or maybe Plan A, cos the Plan A for small minded women is :

1.Try to Look to Good
2.Try to Look Flashy
3 keeping trying to continue looking good..
4.Be on the prowl for decent men ,attach to them and push for a marriage at all cost..

Smart thinking women look good for themselves first ,love themselves first, develop themselves and most importantly, are industrious...

All these kinds of over thinking where ladies think he's after sex and guys think she's after money prevent people from enjoying their relationships with open minds.

If you like someone and they tick some of your boxes give them the benefit of the doubt and hope for the best.

His talking about his woman's body maybe his own way of appreciating his woman and she may be enjoying the talks

His touching and flirting in public may even be the spark and spice of a particular relationship.

He doesn't talk about marriage? Must he talk about marriage?? Sometimes it's about comfort and companionship

Let's stop making relationships too hard.

Relax ,enjoy and explore with whoever you are comfortable with. !! grin grin grin grin

You only live ONCE !!

That's one way to look at it

That's the fact bro, though my own didn't leave cos of marriage,I doubt I'll be open to any relationship anytime soon, I see the freedom as an opportunity to set up myself, cos relationships and love for Nigeria isn't spontaneous, it's a means to an end...why not just channel the freedom into something worthwhile

This is Nigeria, everyone would never earn 100k, let alone 400k. I remember making my hair somewhere and one lady there said the only way she can work in corporate Nigeria is if they pay her like 150k. I was shocked at her target, but it reminded me of the reality in Nigeria.

The most important thing is to get a supportive partner and cut down on unnecessary things. We should also watch the number of kids we have. Nigerians too born abeg!

Wedding has never been compulsory. Especially when the couple cannot afford one.

On point, I know a friend who's just 32 , basic salary is 130K at this primary, works multiple jobs , totalling up to like 250-300K monthly salary, he's a graphic designer, video animator, already has a land, married, his wife has her own Cake making /eateries kitchen....they intend to buy their first car, thinking of using for Uber and driving by himself, both of them are hustlers,I just look at them and I wish ,women can open their eyes and see that, everything that is need for any marriage to work is the will to make it work, support each other, kill all expectations and get to work in the marriage, the basic issue every Nigerian woman and most women have is the believe that they're princesses, eggs to be treated the best whether or not they've earned it, sometimes when this my friend wants to blow money on something unnecessary, she's sit him down and even analyze the best possible way and projects they should spend,I think the two of them were made for each other, it's hard to find such sha,but women need to drop the "I'm a princess" attitude, whoever is lying to them need to stop undecided undecided undecided undecided
