kayswag100: Sir, I never said I was representing Airtel. All views expressed here are mine. Just giving a pragmatic approach to things.

My bosses are on nl too and know me; plus : I AM NOT A CC AGRNT!!!!
You don't need to say that, we know already.. esp the ones asking how to use airtel to browse on ur modem or android devices... so they will know the latest loop holes in Airtel.

kayswag100: for now, no plan as such had been communicated sir. *141*1# would tell you the available data plans.

The best deal is 3k for 1gb. My hand shakes as I write this o. This erstwhile have 6gb using and amount. aaaaaaaahhhhh!!
3k for 1gb? Isnt that a cheat? I wished glo capitalize on this opportunity and improve their network for their 1k/3gb data cap for Nigerians

Tomoarika: I think dis shd be in Romance Section.

I was a Corper serving in a Bank. She was transferred to my Branch and I was to work directly under her. We hit it off after a while although she was somewhat strict and aloof at first.
She was hot, pretty, very smart, early to mid thirties (bt in great shape like a twenty year old), sassy and stylish... I mean what's not to like! I discovered we had a lot in common and we even had the same Alma Mata!
I would return to the office after CDS every week and she would ask me to buy something for her when coming.
We talked a lot, abt our Uni days and how our social lives were back then (mine was pretty much non-existent and she always teased me abt it).

One day after the close of business with just the two of us in the office (my work desk and hers at abt 45 degress apart facing each) she walked over to my desk, eyes shining radiantly, her face all smiles. I thought to myself, could dis be happening? Was it going to happen right there and then? All sorts of thoughts going through my mind. I was going to get it!

That's when she approached me and said....

To be continued. (Battery Low)
if you dont want seangy4konji and Atmosfear to hate you, better finish this ur food... grin

hardbody: Bros, the scientist might call them hypothesis that can never be proved, but where i come from in Arochukwu, there is a 'mythical reality' that if a married woman screws outside her marriage and the husband gets to know about it, the husband should forthwith desist from eating anything cooked by that woman, the day he does, several negative things will start happening to him (as warning signs to put him on enquiry)and this will eventually culminate in his death if nothing is done to the woman.
interesting.. but does this happens to ur villagers living in ur village or/and does this happens to anybody from the village living in a foreign land?

Tablet Man: Hey mr op, modify that ur ibo to igbo, and modify that ur akwa to awka... Awka people don't eat or kill monkey because it is the messenger of the gods. If u go to obi imo awka shrine, u will see some monkeys there. They use it whenever they want to celebrate their imo awka festival. And once again modify that ur Eke-idemili by removing the Eke in it. Eke means python, ƧƟ people call their python eke-idemili which means idemili python( idemili is a town at anambra state)

Op I will contribute more to ur story if u modify ur post

CultureWhat Are Cultural Taboos In Your Village Or Area by pendusky(op):
Nigeria has a lot of cultural and traditional beliefs and taboos. Some are actively practiced while others are dormant and are not necessarily practiced presently.

•For example in the Ibibio tribe using the left hand actively is a form of insult and seen as a form of negativity ,such as using the left hand to give or accept something and even using the left hand to eat.

• In the past, Ladies esp the pregnant women were not allow to look into Masquerade in the face otherwise she will born a baby that resembles Masquerade. but now adays U will find ladies taking a photo shot with the Masquerade grin grin

The taboos are not the same, they vary in ethnicity. Here are some examples:

•In the Eke-Idemilli area of the Ibo land, its a taboo to kill any form of snake.

•The Awka people do not allow the killing on their monkeys, although this is not widely practiced in ibo land generally.

•Suicide in some parts of ibo land also is a taboo, and the family would be the ones to pay the penalty if anyone commits suicide.

•In some areas of Idoma land, when the king dies, its a taboo to mourn at the funeral.

•In some parts of Yoruba land , its a taboo for pregnant women to go near a corpse.

•In some parts of Benin, displaying palm fruits in public is a taboo , rumors have it that one could even loose his or her head.

•Some parts of igbo land forbids eating of yam in the month of August.

•In some parts of Urhobo Delta State, cutting of fire wood at night when the moon is full is forbidden, rumors have it that such a person could become a statue.

All these myths are just a traditional mans theory to find some meaning to existence. A scientist would call it typical hypothesis that can never be proved. This must have been created when man had total fear of the unknown and still tried to understand the universe.

Share any cultural taboo you know about in Nigeria here;
