Mankind wouldn't have any need for a saviour or Messiah from the beginning if Adam hasn't brought a curse on the earth! Genesis 3:17

So the promise of a Messiah (Saviour) was first made when God mercifully considered Adam's descendants who are innocent of the rebellion that happened in the garden of Eden. Genesis 3:15
Ever since then mankind have been looking forward to see that child (SEED) which will undo the evil brought upon the human race by Adam's rebellion.
God called a man from the middle east known as Abraham and promised him that this SEED will be born through his lineage so that entire human race could be saved {Genesis 12:1-3} Abraham's wife was barren so he slept with a slave girl who bore him a son, Abraham concluded that God's promises will come through this child but God told him the promise will be transferred to the son that would be born by his legal wife who has grown old! Genesis 17:18-21
That's why the Israelites keep expecting these promised Messiah until they were enslaved in Egypt and God raised Moses as a saviour to rescue them, but for them to know that Moses is not the promised Messiah God told the Israelites that a prophet like Moses will be raised among them so that's the Messiah they should listen to! Deuteronomy 18:15-19

So whenever any prophet is raised among them they will start contemplating "could this be the Messiah?" God often tell the prophets to prophesy about another person. For instance Isaiah that you mentioned told the Israelites:

For a child has been born to us, A son has been given to us; And the rulership will rest on his shoulder. His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. To the increase of his rulership And to peace, there will be no end, On the throne of David and on his kingdom In order to establish it firmly and to sustain it Through justice and righteousness, From now on and forever. The zeal of Jehovah of armies will do this. Isaiah 9:6-7

So it's evident that Isaiah is not the promised Messiah (Christ) that Moses talked about!

The last prophet whose words are found in the Bible before the gospel accounts is called "Malachi" what did this man say about the Messiah?

Look! I am sending my messenger, and he will clear up a way before me. And suddenly the true Lord, whom you are seeking, will come to his temple; and the messenger of the covenant will come, in whom you take delight. Look! He will certainly come,” says Jehovah of armies! Malachi 3:1

So once again Malachi (the last prophet some 500 years before Jesus) confirmed that the Messiah (Christ) is still coming, therefore none of all the prophets that ever known in Israel is the expected Messiah.

Messiah a Greek word means “one who is anointed”in Hebrew language and there are sure many anointed niggas in the Old Testament.
