Buhari's choice will not be the consensus candidate. APC is bigger than Buhari who is outgoings and a President many understand is apolitical and a character who will dissappear totally once out of Aso Rock.

He has never gotten in the trenches for the APC and has never marshalled the troops well.
Everyone, even politicians, need leaders then know they can rely on. Buhari is not that at all and I doubt many will do 'abobaku' for him.

What will be their reward for indulging Buhari who is now very famous for not giving two cents about loyalty or appreciating those who directly helped him attain his current status he failed three times to actualize?

You IPOBians are clowns who do not know Nigerian politics and never will.
I can see you people that know Nigerian politics how you voted for an old senile man in the hope that he will hand over power to your lord and saviour only for your lord and savior to be relegated to the backsit and he has to start urinating all over the country trying to fulfill his “lifelong ambition”.

You claim Buhari’s candidate won’t be APC consensus candidate but you said worse in the run on to APC national convention. You said Abdullahi Adamu will never be chairman and no one will indulge Buhari but who is APC chairman today?

Abeg, make I leave una to dey lie to una self.

My happiness is that all the warnings we have given you people since 2015 have all come to pass.

And so will the things we are telling you now.

You're a clown. Start thinking and talking like an adult for fck sake. You young Igbos are a disgrace to your lineage and will be dominated for a long time by Yorubas, Fulanis, Ijaws, Hausas etal.

Commonsense, critical thinking and pragmatic awareness you lack totally. Who on Earth will vote for Emefiele for Pete sake?

What is wrong with you people and how is it so easy for all of you, as if a collective madness, to ignore the reality we all know for the flights of fantasy you people take daily?

The most broadly appealing Igbo man, from an electoral perspective, is OUK. Orji Kalu
I just cringe when you pathetic desperados begin talking about Onu, Emefiele and even Obi. Do you people live in some parallel universe of lunacy?

Surely you cannot be dealing with the reality of Nigeria given your constant penchant for wanting to see a stone deliver water for you to drink.
Blabbing

That you are suggesting OUK for Nigerian presidency just shows the kind of human being you are and what you are wishing for Nigeria.

If I asked you why you chose OUK over other Igbo men that are more competent and have record of achievements, you will say he is a bridge builder. And yes, for you, bridge building comes before integrity, capacity and competence for the job.

Similarly, if I asked you what is wrong with Obi, Umahi and Emefiele, you will start blabbing and conjuring rubbish thrash that are all creation of your, and your ilk’s, imagination.

We abhor thieves

We abhor incompetence

We do not support just any fool just because he’s Igbo

Our support is merited and earned.

We will never be like you people that are supporting Tinubu, an insatiable greedy crook, because he is popular and has built bridges.

You people are grade A clowns. Where will Emefiele or Onu get votes from? Moghalu got 30k votes in 2019 and Emefiele will get even less.

Nigeria is failing because we don't have pragmatically intelligent human resources. Instead we have people who think a stone can give water and that water can suddenly become wine.
So, in your warped estimation, only those who support Tinubu are pragmatic?

Shut da eff up. What if Buhari is a retired military officer? You fear fear Nigerians are jokers?

Change is the only thing constant in life. Our democracy is evolving and we are moving fast towards an age where civilian politicians like Atiku and Tinubu are more powerful than the military old boys of which Buhari is the last.

Dictatorship in Nigeria is dying and gaining the pophlar mandate of others, that is given freely and without intimidation , is the way forward.
Do you accept that Buhari’s choice will be the consensus candidate or you are still speaking grammar?

The problem with you people is that you tend to forget that Buhari is a retired Military General with expertise in commanding troupes.

I think Emefiele is the candidate of Buhari boys.

So we are gonna keep fingers crossed to find out if Buhari will drop his own candidate for that o his boys or his boys will bow for his candidate.

But if we put the recent APC convention into perspective where his boys wanted Al-Makura but he single-handedly instructed to Adamu be drafted into the race and ensured his victory, then you would realize that Onu’s chances are bright (should he be the anointed candidate).

Politics › Re: Are Yoruba Muslims The Most Disadvantaged Group In Nigerian Political Space ? by Penguin2(op): 8:10pm On Apr 11, 2022
ETHICALLYrlght:
I used to propose that Nigerians should look beyond religion when choosing a leader but my position has changed.

In a multicultural society like Nigeria, every group must take its turn. I have learnt in recent months that claims of meritocracy alone in a diverse nation is a coy strategy of privileged groups to retain control.

In the United States of America, Biden did not nominate any white person as candidate for the post of an Associate Justice of the Supreme court. He was deliberate by nominating a Black woman so that black females can be represented there although many white judges were qualified.

To ensure peace and stability through inclusion, merit should be a criteria for selection of leaders but it should be activated in a way that promotes a sense of belonging among groups.

I want a Southern Christian, who is intelligent enough to solve some of Nigeria's biggest challenges, as president in 2023!
Good to see that you have started to see reasons in the argument we have been making all along.

Merit should be enthroned, accepted.

But tell me that one zone in Nigeria that is bereft of highly intelligent and competent people. They may not be enthusiastic about politics but who said candidates of political parties must be some recycled politicians?

Till tomorrow, I will still be of the argument that zoning should be constitutional. Now, whichever zone it gets to, our duty as electorates would be to insist on political parties giving us the best of the zone. Now from available candidates from that zone, we will simply vote the person we consider more competent.

So, the argument that zoning would impede capacity is balderdash, self-serving and highly deficient.
Politics › Are Yoruba Muslims The Most Disadvantaged Group In Nigerian Political Space ? by Penguin2(op): 7:19pm On Apr 11, 2022
In the configuration of Nigeria, it is assumed that the north is predominantly Muslims while the south is predominantly Christians.

Now, whatever is going to the north, goes to a northern Muslim while whatever is going to the south is taken for granted that it should go to a southern Christian.

In the present Nigerian socio-politico space where religion is elevated to a high pedestal in the country’s political discourse, it’s going to take donkey years before a Yoruba Muslim will become the president of this country.

Because while his candidacy will not be appealing to the rest of southerners who are majorly Christians, the north would also not vote for him especially if he chooses a northern Christian to strike a balance. And if he dares to pick another Muslim just so he could appeal to northern sentiments, that would be suicide for such ticket.

This reason is Tinubu’s greatest stumbling block. It was Abiola’s stumbling block too because Christian Generals threatened to overthrow him if he got sworn in as confirmed by IBB which made him annul the election.

Again, while you would expect northerners to be ecstatic about a Muslim southerner taking up the saddle of the country, the reverse is actually the case as northerners never consider southern Muslims as Muslims enough. And southern Muslims have spent generations trying to prove their authenticity to them but it still has never worked. Northern Muslims still perceive their southern counterparts f practicing diluted version of Islam and that they do not follow, religiously, the tenets of Islam.

Northern Christians are in similar shoe too but theirs seem to not be as pathetic as Yoruba Muslims. If anything, northern Christians have produced Yakubu Gowon, David Mark, SGF David Lawal and Boss Mustapha, Theophilus Danjuma, etc. This is a feat never achieved by Yoruba Muslims. Again southern Christians do not see northern Christians as inauthentic Christians unlike what southern Muslims are going through.

So, this is an existential problem for Yoruba/Southern Muslims that they must find an urgent solution to if they must join their fellow southerners in enjoying some key and top privileges that is due south.

Penguin is a bird of reason!

Southeast region.

I’ve just been reliably informed that Buhari has settled for Ogbonnaya Onu as his successor to quell the agitation from the East and finally bury the ghost of the civil war.

Northern powerbrokers are finally coming to the realization that Southeast Presidency is inevitable in 2023 if the entity called Nigeria must continue to co-exist.

Osinbajo has no structure, he will only inherit Tinubu structure so Asiwaju will still be very active in his government if he eventually win against Asiwaju in the primaries.

The presidency themselves at this point really do not have too much option in this, Osinbajo is the only card they can use to checkmate Asiwaju.

You can see El-Rufai, Sanwo-Olu, Dapo Abiodun, Oyetola are in the meeting currently going on with Osinbajo, they are the same Asiwaju caucus.

It’s the same caucus, same network, just different people.
Doesn’t this submission of yours confirm my point?

How can we say we don’t want the kleptomaniac fingers of Tinubu near our national treasury only to vote for someone whom Tinubu will play a major role in his presidency?

And hey, don’t bank on Elrufai being in the camp of Asiwaju.
Politics › Re: EXCLUSIVE: Inside Details Of How Osinbajo Will Declare His 2023 Ambition by Penguin2: 8:43pm On Apr 10, 2022
trutharena:
Let me tell you something. The Northern powerbrokers themselves are divided between Asiwaju and Buhari base. Buhari has lost touch with the structure of APC and the only thing left is the respect they accord him.

The only game the North can play is to pitch Osinbajo against Asiwaju so that like that no one wins and they can find the middle ground “Osinbajo”.

An Amaechi presidency is a sure way for APC to collapse and I’m sure the presidency themselves can gauge the pulse of APC leaders which explained why Amaechi declaration was a flop without people attending.

Let’s just wait and see.
Buhari that single-handedly installed the new APC chairman has lost structure of APC?

Haba! Try to be realistic in your projections.

Now to the candidates…

Aside Southwest, where else would Tinubu garner votes in the entire south? None.

But Amaechi will win the SS and SE(if PDP makes mistake of giving its ticket to a northerner again) and he would get about 30% of votes in the Southwest.

You go to the north, if Tinubu picks a northern Christian to strike religious balance, then he has lost the north. But not so with Amaechi. Amaechi will comfortably choose a Muslim running mate and with Buhari support, the north will be delivered for him.

These are realistic projections that you know is true except you are letting sentiments becloud your reasoning.

No they are not working together but there is one thing I know, Asiwaju always sacrifice.

He do always sacrifice and he most often knows when to fight and when to stop. If he does his calculations and he sees there is no winning ways, he will declare his support for Osinbajo and you will see the dynamics change fast with the speed of light.

One thing about Asiwaju again, he has history of sacrifice and if this also warrants him to do such, he will do that.

That’s why he’s different from every other politician.
You see the problem we have Osinbajo candidacy?

Because we know one way or the other, he and Tinubu will get to meet at one point along the contest and Tinubu will be the one to give way because he’s the one who is disadvantaged in the entire calculation.

Now, look at it this way… do you think Tinubu will step down without cutting deals with Osinbajo in case he wins the presidency? Of course not.

Tinubu will ask for appointment slots to be conceded to him.

Again he would ask for protection of dynasty in Lagos including his Alpha Beta business.

These are unarguable.

So away with Tinubu and his lapdog, Osinbajo.
