Except if you are telling us that people in the market are not aware about those who are making fake drugs from the market . How many years now have they been producing the fake drugs? How many people have they killed with their products?

Perhaps, you should have waited till they use their fake drugs to kill us finish before acting

Why is even hard for you lots to condemn evil thinks like the fake drugs?
Who told you those drugs are produced in that market?

Or if someone is offloading his goods, you will go and ask him, “are these drugs you’re offloading fake genuine”?

What do you think he’d answer you?

Do you guys even think?

There's a reason the NDLEA shut down the whole market. You should be grateful the government is not pulling down all the shanties and few shops in the market sef. What people were doing in the market won't be allowed in the USA, UK, Germany, Canada or Australia.

Let NAFDAC carry out a thorough job at the market please.
Can you cite instances where similar action has been taken in the US, UK, Germany or Canada?

You should answer this question for us undecided Why must fake drugs and drinks be associated with the market huh This is not something new, but it's been happening for Years
Let’s assume what you are saying is true, does that justify the closure of the entire market?
PoliticsNAFDAC: Is Fake Drugs The Only Thing Sold In Onitsha Head Bridge Market? by Penguin2(op): 7:36pm On Feb 18, 2025
Those with shallow thinking capacity who like to deride Peter Obi in all things without thinking have been attacking him for asking for the reopening of Onitsha Head Bridge market that was closed by NAFDAC because they discovered fake drugs in the warehouses of some drugs sellers.

But before you continue to attack Peter Obi, answer this question - is fake drugs the only thing sold in that market?

Or would you support the closing of all the mosques in Nigeria because most terrorists are Muslims?

Would you support the closing of all the churches in Nigeria because some pastors are fake and charlatans?

Would you ask for the disbandment of the entire police force because some criminal characters in the police force defraud citizens?

Would you ask for the extermination of Nigeria from world map because some of our citizens are fraudsters defrauding foreigners of their money while others are drug dealers with international drug trafficking networks?

If you have never called for any of the above, then it’s double standard for you to support the closure of Onitsha market because of few fake drugs dealers.

Have you asked what will become the fate of those selling building materials in the market?

What of those selling spare parts?

Or those selling cosmetics and beauty products?

What of food vendors and other artisans who depend on the market for their daily sustenance?

These people should all suffer because of the action of a few people who decided to do the wrong thing that they had absolute no control over?

Make it make sense.

You performed woefully and Nigerians kicked you out. Obi performance as the governor of Anambra is nothing to write home about so Nigerians also rejected the useless thing.

The useless thing performance as the governor of Anambra state is nothing to write home about. Even the useless thing does not talk about the things he did in Anambra state.
Can you go to Upper Iweka, Onitsha, and say this?

Peter Obi’s greatest achievement in Anambra is that he brought sanity to the state.

Before Obi, Anambra was a playground for mafias and godfathers. But since Obi became governor, he defeated these mafias and ensured that Ndi Anambra have successively determined who becomes their governor by themselves.

That’s same thing Obi will do for Nigeria - restore sanity.

Our votes will start to count. Only those who the people vote will win elections and not those supported and appointed by stupid GAC.

Obi will ensure that Nigeria begins to run on merit and not based on political patronage.

Obi will ensure that characters like MC Oluomo and Tony Kabaka will never EVER be relevant in the Nigerian society.

I know things like this cause you stomach ache but be rest assured that a new Nigeria is POssible and must come.

Tell that to Tinubu supporters

You see someone who you don’t know his date of birth…

You don’t know his primary or secondary school,

You know he’s a known drug dealer and had been prosecuted for drugs in the past

He’s the king of touts

But yet you see people dedicate their lives everyday to defend and support him.

Tell me why a young boy growing up wouldn’t want to toe same path since he knows that tomorrow fools will support him to become president.

Same set of people support MC Oluomo.

Same set of people support Tony Kabaka.

Same set of people support Wike.

They support crudity, rascality and everything evil.

Tell me why children growing up wouldn’t want to imitate them.

You guys know yourselves and our society will become a better place when you change the characters you extol and support.

Their wish did come true but greedy hooligans scuttled it.

Lol!

I’m sure Tinubu last imagined that it is now he is President that his Lagos Dynasty will fall apart but it’s happening.

Seems the lady they installed has got some balls and refusing to bow to pressure.

Meanwhile, Obasa seems to be more influential than all of us gave him credit for.

Whatever the outcome becomes, this will definitely leave a huge crack in the Tinubu Lagos Dynasty.

My own is that Seyi Tinubu and his Igbo wife must rule Lagos from 2027.😏

We mustn’t copy every stupidity from the West. The institution of Holy Matrimony has lost its value in the West because people now consider it a flex to divorce after 3 days of marriage.

We must do everything possible to ensure that rubbish never becomes a norm in Nigeria; nay Africa.

PoliticsRe: PDP National Working Committee Voids Suspension Of BoT chair, Wabara by Penguin2: 8:38pm On Feb 11, 2025
The suspension is null and void from the onset.

For it to be valid, Wabara would first be suspended by his Ward Executives and then rectified by LGA Executives before it gets to SEC.

But the foolish PDP Chairman in Abia who is probably in one Wike’s fetish pots thinks rushing to Enyimba FM to announce Wabara’s suspension will make it hold water.

This same reason is why Hope Uzodimma became governor of Imo State. Because his fictitious results was supposed to be canceled at the polling unit but because he already bought polling unit Returning Officers, the results were canceled by LGA Returning Officer which automatically made the cancellation illegal and Supreme Court ruled against it.

So, when people don’t know the law, they rejoice at every inanity.

And supposing Wabara was to legitimately suspended, BOT has already rectified Ude-Okoye and anything happening now is mere jamboree.

Wike and his Wastern lovers will cry blood

At the end of the day, the north may decide to let Tinubu finish his 8 years because another fresh southerner will definitely use the power of incumbency to spend 8 yrs , shutting the northerners out of the corridor of power for 12 yrs.
Goodluck to them.

But you need to understand that asides the fact that Tinubu’s policies seem to be hitting them the hardest, if Tinubu spends 8 years, he is likely going to influence power going to a weak northerner and his crony who would rather be answerable to him than the north.

That’s why the north want him out now.

That'll mean the North has to trust that Mr Obi will only spend 4 years.

With their experience with Mr Jonathan, they are unlikely to invest such level of trust in any Southerner.

The North is clearly in a quandary.

A candidate from the far North is unlikely to win. Yet, they can't throw their weight behind a Southerner because of the fear of that individual spending 2 terms thus keeping the North away from power until 2035.
They have to choose between that gamble and Tinubu’s 8 years.

And they know what will come with Tinubu’s 8 years. All their wings will be decapitated; and when Tinubu is done in 2031, he’d ensure a weak idiot from the north succeeds him so that nothing he has done will be undone.

They have to choose between the devil and the deep blue sea.

DeLaRue:
I struggle to see which opposition pairing and permutation can defeat the President.

1. Mr Atiku doesn't appear willing to step aside, yet, most Southerners and middlebelters are not ready to vote another Northerner so soon after Mr Buhari.

2) If Mr Atiku decides to join forces on the same ticket, which party will they use? PDP is not certain. If they form an entirely new party, and they don't win, Mr Obi will be the biggest loser, as he will then have been in 4 different parties. That's not a good look.

3) If Mr Obi and Atiku contest separately, we'll probably end up with a result similar to the one we had in 2023.

4) There is no proof yet that the far North will vote for any ticket with Mr Obi in it, whether as President or Vice President. Mr Obi got so few votes in that part of the country in 2023 that it is difficult to see how that will change in 2027.

) If you throw Mr Adesina in the mix, and he too contests under a different party, that fractionalisation of the opposition will only favour the incumbent.

Anyway, as someone famously said, a week is a long time in polics. With 2027 still 2 years away, a lot can still change. Who knows.
Nobody is in Atiku’s mind and there’s been no verifiable report anywhere that he wouldn’t want to step down his ambition for the candidate of the unified opposition especially with Obasanjo brokering the deal.

About Obi and far north votes…

The only reason Obi seemed to perform poorly in far north was because of his running mate in 2023 who was not popular with the talakawas of the north. Substitute Datti for Tambuwal with the backing of northern oligarchs who would dispatch Imams and their foot soldiers to campaign positively for Obi, and you see the sentiment change and his votes skyrocket.

Of course you know Southeast and Southsouth is Obi’s place any day, and even large part of MiddleBelt.

It will be in Atiku and north’s best interest to step down their interest for Peter Obi or Tinubu does his 8 years.

Or do you deify Tinubu enough to think he can finish the meal prepared for him by the entire Nigerian community?
Politics2027: Peter Obi Or Akinwumi Adesina? by Penguin2(op): 11:00am On Feb 11, 2025
As the race for 2027 gears up, alignments and realignments have continued to dominate our political space with leaders of opposition trying to unite and forge a common front to face APC in 2027.

Now, with Peter Obi’s showing in the last election coupled with the fact it’s the turn of the south, by Nigerian political convention, the pendulum seems to be swinging towards Peter Obi to be the candidate of the united opposition. Add the fact that Obasanjo seems to be sold out to the Obi project and Obasanjo is a big factor in the ongoing discussions for opposition leaders.

But the recent interview of the outgoing President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), Akinwunmi Adesina, talking about being available for any role in the future (with 2027 presidency clearly in sight) there seems to be a new bride who might be entering the race.

Ordinarily I would have taken Adesina’s interview as a no issue but knowing that he’s another guy President Obasanjo admires, I won’t be surprised if he becomes a surprise joker in the race.

But now I want to ask, who would you rather faces Tinubu as candidate of the united opposition, Peter Obi or Akinwunmi Adesina?

Gowon was not merely doing his job! You just painted him as a saint, though there are part of your statement that i subscribe to. The war was avoidable, stop the north that were killing the Igbos after Ironsi's coup. Since you can't protected them in the north, pay them their salaries. As the head of the state provide the body of Ironsi the former head of state for funeral. Honour the Aburi accord which you sign. Gowon could have averted the civil war. No good leader will be looking at his tribes men being slaughter in thousands and keep quiet. Ojukwu did what every good leader will do, self preservation.
Vo victor no vanquish was just a mere ceremony. You think Biafra just surrendered? You think there was no series of meeting going on during war by the two camp? You think Biafra surrendered because they were out of arms?
Gowon couldn't even fulfill his end war promise of triple 'R'. He needs to apologize to people of Asaba for that massacre of more than 1000 people who were killed even when they supported one Nigeria. Killing defenseless people who wear white cloth the symbol of peace.
Of course I’m not saying Gowon did everything right. But that’s why it was a war.

I feel Igbos should be more mature than we are currently doing.

We shouldn’t be carrying bile around.

PoliticsRe: Peter Obi Explains Birthday Greetings To Gowon, Amid Uproar From Obidients by Penguin2:
Some Obidients can be too sensitive for my liking.

Obi was just fulfilling all righteousness by felicitating with Gowon and I don’t think anybody should have issues with it.

If anything, Igbos who know history should be thankful to Gowon for how the war ended.

If not for Gowon, the Igbo haters from Awolowo camp and northern Muslims would have overrun the East and raze it ashes just to make sure Igbos never rise again.

It was Gowon’s policy of “No Victor, No Vanquished” that prevented that from happening. And those bloodsucking Igbo haters could only murmur from distance with their teeth all out like a rabid dog tasting for Igbo blood.

It was the anger of not letting Igbos be disappeared from the face of the earth that made Awolowo give every Igbo man 20 pounds after the war irrespective of how much he had in the bank before the war.

So, I understand that Gowon prosecuted the war against Biafra but those who understand leadership would know that Gowon was merely doing his job and not anything personal.

So, enough of the sulking by some Obidients. We can be more reasonable than that.
