CrimeRe: Driver Beats A Lady Over AC Argument (Photos) by Penguin2: 4:24pm On Mar 08, 2025
chatinent:
While I don't support men beating women, I have legitly seen a woman slap a man repeatedly over a trivial issue...while still running her mouth.

What's the issue? It's a queue issue and the man came before the woman and disallowed her from trying to double-cross him by using the person in the front of the man as an excuse that that person allowed her to stay in the front.

The man was like: "if the person in the front allowed you to stay in front, then he has forfeit his position for you and one person must go to the back. I've been standing for 30mins and won't tolerate being cheated."

The lady started with "I will enter this line and there is nothing you can do... because I am even cool. Wo, me I dey mad too o. I've been talking politely at least. Come and beat me naw, since you bi woman beater."

She come enter the line. The person who allowed her just minded his business and refused to even talk.

Omo, as she entered, the argument got heated up as the main man insisted he won't allow it unless the good Samaritan forfeited his position. Na so this woman begin chochocho...like typewriter. The main man even stopped talking and she became more furious. The man just stood gigiban for the line to prevent illegal entrance. Next thing we had was TAAAWAAI. Omo, the man held himself and told her he would only respect her this once because she's a woman. Before he could finish, TAWAAAIII!

Me I was caught in the moment, before you could say Jack, this man don forget headbutt for this woman face naso she fall. We come rush hold the man o before en kill parrot.

Gaslight, mouth, attitude, victim game, come and beat = Some Women. Esp, the gaslighting.

People: Don't beat a woman.
Some women: if you are a man, come and beat me.
Parrot 🤣🤣🤣

She is about to fall prey to traffickers. I understand she is desperate to succeed and possibly help her family, but she also needs to understand the risks she would be facing embarking on certain journeys out of frustration and desperateness.

It is well, sighs
Thank you very much.

I’m going to try to talk some sense into her and dispose her mind on what she’s getting into.

Since she can confide in you, press her further to give you details of the job she got in Cairo; offer letter, which would reveal nature of work, organization hiring her, etc. If she can't, my brother she is on a gamble journey.

Everybody migrating abroad on a work visa always have an offer letter specifying your job role, salary/wage breakdown and other work terms. If she cannot provide all these and still insist then you can let her go but make it known to her and possibly confide in someone else that you are not in support of her move.

Is she a graduate, what course did she studied in school, and what experience or skill does she have presently? What is she doing currently for a living and what's her age range?
That’s the problem. The girl just has SSCE and her work experience in Nigeria has been Receptionist and Waitress jobs.

She has promised to come see me tomorrow, I hope to ask her these questions.

If she can't provide those things, then it's probably a house help job which might lead to her being sexually abused or exploited. She won't see this picture now so make her understand it. Go to YouTube and get videos of African girls being abused by their masters in Arab countries.

Also let her understand that when Israel attacked Lebanon late last year, Lebanese people locked their African house helps and Nannies inside their apartments in high rise buildings and ran with their families leaving those African migrants working for them as domestic staffs stranded and exposed to death as Israeli bombs rained down their buildings. It was a horror to watch.

So warn her ahead and bring all these to her knowledge so that she won't claim to be ignorant tomorrow. Just do your best in enlightening her and leave the rest for her
Thank you very much.

The thing is that she confided in me with this information. According to her, even her mother is not aware she’s traveling.

Now, I could try to paint these awry pictures for her but I don’t want to be the reason she doesn’t take a chance at life and tomorrow she could blame me for advising her wrongly when she had a chance at life.

I had told her one time not to go to Dubai that every Nigerian girl in Dubai was into prostitution but she was adamant. Gave me the example of a mother who is in Dubai with her daughters and they are doing decent jobs.

My problem is that I don’t have much information on what goes on in Cairo.

My young cousin sister just told me she got a visa to travel to Cairo and ‘work’ but I don’t trust this ‘work’ narrative.

The impression I have of these Arab cities ( Cairo, Dubai, etc) is that African girls are trafficked there to go and prostitute for their traffickers.

But people who have information about what happens in Cairo can tell me.

Do Nigerians genuinely work in Cairo or is my little cousin about to be a victim of traffickers?

The 2024 budget has been taken over by events. It is not a matter any longer. Although, it is grounds for impeachment as it is seen that the governor ran the state and made withdrawals without a budget.

Now remember that the Supreme Court has ordered the governor to represent the budget else no allocation because the supreme court sees that the 2025 budget was not presented at all
Yeah. Just remembered Supreme Court put an embargo on Rivers treasury because of the budget.

Well, I guess Fubara has to swallow the humble pie.

EXOUSIAng:
I believe this is to be the reason why the Martins Amaewhule has not said anything about the 2024 budget.
But their demand for the representation of the 2025 budget and representation of the list and screening of the current appointment members is also valid. From my understanding of the law.

Remember that the Martins Amaewhule and co assembly was not rendered invalid by any court.
So they were law makers but the budget was never presented to them.
I am not a lawyer but I think I have studied a great deal of the law to guide myself.

In the eyes of the law the budget has not been presented.
And the 2025 budget is still running under the Martins led house of assembly.
How can they national assembly function properly under a budget they know nothing about?
That's the big question.
How can dey hold commissioners they didn't approve of or even know accountable?
I think what they are asking for is very simple and also a trap.
At this point Fubara and his team need to be very smart.
They no longer have the cards.
With this latest supreme court judgement on their membership, Fubara has lost all cards
If he’s to represent the 2025 budget, then he should equally represent 2024 budget since that was passed by Edie Ehison House in 2024.
PoliticsRivers Crisis: You Can’t Implement Judgments In Retrospect. by Penguin2(op): 9:24pm On Mar 05, 2025
The Supreme Court judgment on Rivers State has thrown up various debates.

But, though I’m not a lawyer, I want to state, that with my lay man knowledge of the law, judgments of courts are not applied in retrospect but in prospect.

The point I’m trying to make is that every action hitherto taken by the Victor Oko-Jumbo led House until the Supreme Court judgment, remains valid.

So, those things like 2025 budget, confirmation of Commissioner Nominees, etc, remain valid; and any move by Martins Amaewhule and co-travelers to demand the contrary is them looking for trouble.

Lawyers in the house can share their opinion.

PoliticsRe: Resolutions Of The Rivers House Of Assembly (Full Text) by Penguin2: 7:32pm On Mar 03, 2025
It’s a Supreme Court judgment.

Fubara has little to no escape.

He should just go and present the 2025 Budget to the House and allow Rivers people deal with the House Members if they dare to frustrate the passage of the bill.

At the end, what the House will do is to ensure Fubara accounts for every penny in the budget.

In the end, Fubara no go chop but they too no go chop.

But Fubara will complete his 4 years even if it means the heavens falling.

Rivers is not Lagos State.

Too much attention on frivolities as Poverty deepens is concerning.

It is deeply troubling that Nigeria’s political leadership is rapidly descending into an embarrassing spectacle.

We are at a time when our nation faces the highest levels of actual and multidimensional poverty, soaring infant mortality rates, millions of out-of-school children, one of the most insecure and hunger-stricken nations on earth, grappling with escalating insecurity and countless other challenges.

One would expect our leaders to be focusing and sacrificing solely on providing urgent, transformative solutions to this myriad of problems but not necessarily .

Instead, the national discourse is consumed by trivialities, whether it is allegations of sexual harassment or budget padding in the National Assembly, controversies surrounding State Houses of Assembly speakership, reckless Court judgments threatening to destabilize or deprive the State of funding to provide needed services to the citizens.

What is coming out of the three arms of government, the Executive, the Legislature and the Judiciary is disgusting and uninspiring. The Executive show of negative power as seen in Osun state, the reckless Judiciary pronouncement on Rivers State that is capable of threatening democracy plus the embarrassing scandal from the National Assembly all combine to give a gloomy picture of our democratic journey.

Leaders in these three arms should avoid undue disruptive interference in affairs of sub-national government activities.

Urgent steps should be taken by the leadership of the three arms to stabilize our polity and stem politicians from defecting to parties where they feel it will be easier to rig them into office.

This reckless neglect of serious governance is a grave disservice to the millions of Nigerians who deserve competent, accountable leadership focused on solving real problems.

The blatant display of political rascality, coupled with widespread irregularities, paints a distressing picture of a leadership that has abandoned its core responsibility to the people and is making governance resemble a theatrical performance rather than a serious commitment to public service.

While citizens bear the crushing weight of various hardships due to misgovernance, those in power prioritize personal interests and political gamesmanship over the nation’s well-being.

This mockery of leadership is not only unacceptable, it is a betrayal of the people’s trust.

Nigeria cannot afford to be governed like a reality TV show while millions suffer for so long. It is time for leadership rooted in character, competence, capacity, consistency, compassion, and urgency—leadership that prioritizes education, healthcare, and poverty alleviation.

Anything less threatens the nation’s stability, undermines the present, and betrays the nation’s future.

A new Nigeria is POssible! -PO
