TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by penitential(m):
I've only heard of one person who got it after B.sc in nigeria.
It's hard to get, even those admission officers knew that it will be very hard to get TRV after having one B.sc certificate in nigeria, but you've got to come up with a very convincing S.O.P as to why you want to go for another B.sc.
I was specifically told when I met with an admission officer of one of the colleges in Canada that pursuing another undergraduate course after initial undergraduate certificate will raise the curiosity of the V.O as to whether the applicant is a genuine student.
AdesinaOBD:
Can u be granted trv for going for another bsc degree in canada after showing in your application that you already obtained a bsc degree here in nigeria?

Pls say something on this

TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by penitential(m): 9:26am On Jan 13, 2017
Hmmmm, this your caip file contain wella o. grin grin grin grin
1. lets analyse what the V.O meant by "PA's career history" what is your employment history like?
1a.@age 40, what have you been involved in since finishing your undergraduate study?
1b. Any education or career gap? if any, did you explain what you've been doing during those period?
Another thing the V.O will likely consider is "why going for PGC/D at that age", what have you been doing since your B.sc degree? A very good and well-detailed employment history and proof of various certifications will do justice to that. Because at that age, one should be thinking of either Phd or career advancement of such.
2. "personal circumstances and family composition"
2a. I don't know what your personal circumstances as probably contained in your S.O.P/L.O.E/L.O.I/ are, but permit me to ask the following questions
2ai Are you married?
2aii Do you still have parents?
2aiii Do you have siblings?
2aiv who is your sponsor and how is s/he related to you? a family? if you're self sponsored, thats okay.
3 "The expenses related to proposed study and the reasonableness of undertaking these studies in Canada"
3a. I think the V.O is trying to see why you're not making the decision of studying this course in Nigeria which will save you more cost rather than opting to going to Canada to study the course which will obviously cost you much money.
How did you try to convince the V.O as to why you choose to study this course in Canada? have you checked various institutions in Nigeria that are offering this particular course and the reason why you feel going to Canada will be better than studying it in nigeria?
*hint- 1. compare course outline for the course as it is offered in canada with what is obtainable in nigeria, if there is any variation, cite them
2. Because of advise from a friend or senior colleague that has took that course outside the country and advising you base on what is obtainable in the outside world as compared to the case in nigeria====my 2cent.
4. "After consideration of the information provided, i am not satisfied that proposed studies in canada make sense given insufficient information on how proposed studies would improve career prospect to a degree that would offset cost of studying in canada instead of pursuing programs available in country of residence"
4a. Hmmmmm, to the bolded, you have to justify the relationship between HRM and your undergraduate course and how it stand to benefit you career wise.
*My humble opinion

TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by penitential(m): 8:41pm On Jan 12, 2017
I think you're calculating using FX xchange rate, which obviously it's very hard to get using form A in banks. Why not let's plan for the worst scenario (no one knows what might be the exchange rate of the V.O). the most reliable and most fast option that people go through for the payment of tuition fees these days is
Getting a Dom account.
Buying USD (cos you won't get CAD from black market) from parallel market
Depositing into Dom account
And transferring via either western union global pay, flywire and the likes.
Now, if going by that method, the conversion rate of CAD TO USD is 0.76, 1USD from parallel market is sold for between 480-490
Using 480*0.76 =364.8
Which means bank will be one CAD will go for 364.8 naira
364.8*15,000CAD =5,472,000. (five million four hundred and seventy two thousand). You can use that as your benchmark (at least you've plan for the worst condition).
Osemigho:
Your fees alone is around #3.75m leaving 1.25m in your balance. What's your account flow?

How much is in your co-sponsor account and flow?

Check if your course is on the sol or csol list, with that you can tell how lucrative your course is.

@Austinpee, this is the post that made me believe her app doc was perfect. If not, other reasons would have been marked. And also for the embassy to send medical mail, the applicant stand a very good chance of getting TRV approval, cos V.Os most times go through documents submitted and if satisfied, request for medical result. some of the refusal letter after medical call (not front loaded) are based on the medical results.
Note- if the supporting docs are not convincing enough, they (V.Os) won't send medical mail before refusing such app.
biiibi:
late medicals is d only reason
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by penitential(m): 10:42pm On Jan 11, 2017
I don't think her app need anything correct again, she was delayed cos she didn't respond to medical mail on time, aside that, all other documents are very perfect.
Austinpee4:
Good a thing you found this thread and will now be better informed if u patiently read through previous post and ask questions when you need to. It's hard already to get a refusal in such situation but you can only look ahead now.
Meanwhile, you may want to share your profile before you reaply again so guyz here can make input and help you if necessary.
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by penitential(m): 8:03pm On Jan 11, 2017
I guess the account is a joint account, hence the need for reference letter. You can talk to your sponsor to request for reference letter from the bank for you(if your sponsor is a signatory to the company's account).
Also, I guess you're not sponsoring yourself,? Then it's a must that the person you're using his/her bank account details must write a sponsorship letter that he/she will sponsor your education. That's a very important document to submit.
folagal:
Hello house, I went to pick my study visa application today and I was denied based on two reasons:
1) no sponsorship letter from the account holder,
2)no reference letter from the bank on corporate account.
Pls, advise me wat can I do, can I change sponsor if I want to reapply?
Pls wat does reference mean, is it diff from statement of account?

Pls I need urgent reply cos I want to reapply by Friday, my school resumes on 15th of Jan

TravelRe: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by penitential(m): 1:50pm On Jan 11, 2017
Very much grateful.
bellong:
You don't need work experience to meet up to 60 points, you should aim at getting a 20 point score in English.

State sponsorship is 5 points except for 489.

You should read the thread on PR.
TravelRe: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by penitential(m): 9:34am On Jan 11, 2017
The point is that I have just less than three years work experience and am 30 years old. Thinking of how to get the 60points and considering my little experience, won't it affect my assessment ?
bellong:
Why not apply for PR as a civil engineering draftsperson?

Your HND should give you a positive assessment if you write a good CDR.
