How will that course benefit u: It will broaden my knowledge with the necessary interdisciplinary skills to handle effectively environmental related problems in the region where I come from. Give example.
Why that school: The course content and module was design in a way that suit my interest. Go through the course content and say I will be taken courses like spatial analysis, remote sensing and GIS and others which you really like.
Aside that it is also affordable and cheap for me.

Where are you sending to, Lagos or elsewhere, if it is lagos you can use Midas Shipping Company. Their Office is in Maryland, they send to thier office in Lagos. Cost use to be 3+$/LBS depending on the weight of ur package.

I think when you are able to get a TAs that is when you get a Full Tuition Waiver Plus monthly stipend. I m sure about GA/RAs. Also if you are able to get a faculty sponsorship from a professor who has a research grant your tuition fees plus stipend could be taken care of by the Prof.

Addressing this first. Everlasting fellowship is not guaranteed by any PhD programs. You only continue getting the fund if academically you're good each semester. Also some programs will not promise funding in the final year due to internship. So, you will need your SOA at the embassy to show you can still fit in if all these happened.

This is exactly why we tell people to just be honest - if they stop you at POE and interrogate you about this, there is a chance that you will be turned around and given a 5-year ban. This happens quite often.

Why would you put yourself in that situation when you could have just been honest and gotten the visa?

If a person have a full time sponsorship plus monthly stipend from the department for a PhD program. Do one still need to show SOA at the point of Visa Interview.
