Romance › Re: Another Facebook Shocker by Pennywise(m): 2:27pm On Dec 28, 2010
It happens all the time. A girl thinks she can make a guy over-look her gabbage (I dont mean a human person in this sense) by deferring disclosure till when she considers the time and atmosphere appropriate. This is not right and its not a good sign. There is no proper time and place to 'come clean' and be honest.

Cards should be laid bare on the table from the onset. It will make the guy love you more for being honest. For how long did this girl think she was going to hide a 3yr old male offspring?
Romance › Re: Am I Being A Gold Digger? Or Is He Selfish? by Pennywise(m): 12:02pm On Dec 27, 2010
It will be wrong to use little things like this to determine if a guy will truly be caring or not.

It is in the nature of some guys to worry more about things that truly count. E.g a guy who cant be bothered about your make-up will buy you a car because he thinks walking to the train station is too much burden on you.
Romance › Re: We Are What We Do No Matter What We Say And Claim To Be by Pennywise(m): 11:37am On Dec 27, 2010
Orikinla:
Let me just put this straight.

In friendship and relationship, people come with good and bad motives.
They often tell lies and play games.

But we are simply what we do.
In other words, we all have different personalities that dont truly change.

We know that this is not true. Situations and circumstances, belief occasioned by religion or other experiences can truly change personalities. People you think you know become much less predictable and even strange. It happens all the time at work, in families and relationships.

That is to say people truly change.

So if you have a perennially unfaithful gf that you truly love and she comes to you asking for forgiveness that she has changed, take her in it may well be true because you may forfeit an eternal chance at happiness
Politics › Re: Do Nigerians Need To Learn Chinese? by Pennywise(m): 11:22am On Dec 24, 2010
The way I see it, English has come to stay as a prefered language in all business communication. The Chinese are late by at least 200yrs unless if they want to reconquer the world and establish colonies around the globe.

They realize this that is why they are trying hard to catch up with everyone else by making English a compulsory part of school curriculum in some districts. My guess is that in a few years English will not be a Language of elite China alone, the average Chinese will learn how to speak English.

The only threat the English language faced in the recent past was from the French Language not German even though Germany has a much stronger economy. The reason being that there are significantly more geopolitical entities that speak the French language (some of which are now culturally being assimilated by the English) an advantage the Chinese do not have. Which other country speaks mandarin outside China (and Taiwan)?

People can learn to speak chinese out of curiosity. Hardly any business advantage exists.

mekay:
Why do you think its a foolish thing to do? if the story is true then its a commendable one. The guy has been on a kangaroo trial for 11 yrs without conviction.
Abacha the cretin General killed a lot of innocent pple most of whom were unknown to the media. The ones that came out in the media were mostly the phantom coup victims he created.

Abacha did not pull the triggers on his victims. He used his aids like Al mustapha to commit these murders.

Sadly the lack of proper knowledge of the law and stupidity of public prosecutors along with the gaping holes in our laws made it possible for him to stall the trial and conviction of this low life impish character.

Maybe Jonathan shouldnt stop there. He should reinstate him in the army and give him accelerated promotion for time spent in prison
Politics › Re: Al Mustapha Freed by Pennywise(m): 5:21pm On Dec 21, 2010
He cant even be regarded as an exconvict which means he is free to contest elections, win and propagate Abachaism. This is no banana republic. This is a classic jungle we live in.

Bofoons. GEJ will be a fool to think this will earn him one northern vote. Ode.
Politics › Re: Court Orders Efcc To Pay N50.8m To Senator by Pennywise(m): 4:16pm On Dec 21, 2010
These are a bunch of low class unschooled criminals acting under the banner of law enforcement (EFCC) to loot private property. I really like to know what the outcome of their investigation was.

In more responsible/lawful climes this judgement will be followed by a hail of dismissals and criminal prosecution right down the hierachy of EFCC against those who had any thing to do with this official looting.

So sad.
Family › Re: Annoying Spousal Habits by Pennywise(m): 11:24am On Dec 18, 2010
My wife is generous to a fault. Infact its an illness to which she keeps deteriorating. My worst fear is that I am going to wake up one morning to find that she has signed our house away. I have been tolerant b/c I tend to accommodate whatever makes her happy.

The problem is that she works but she doesnt contribute to the 'common till' with the same enthusiasm. In order words its my money she is frittering away.

Secondly I find that her generosity is tilted always to her family and friends. Hardly ever to my side.

Politics › Re: Assange 'to Be Charged With Espionage' by Pennywise(m): 1:50pm On Dec 11, 2010
What Assange has done is very serious. His actions are capable of causing mistrust between friends and nations or even outright war with potentially huge losses in lives and property.

He is lucky that the world has changed so much in the last 25yrs. In matters of state security, so many have been shot and killed for far less.

violent:
Modern day hero?

What good has his information done to the world since its release besides stifling enmity and hatred amongst nations and increasing potentials of driving world powers to the brink of war?

What does he stand to gain by releasing a document which provides clear details of United States strategic assets across the globe and specifically stating that these assets, if attacked will see the US coming down to its knees, thus providing more information than alqaeda or other terrorist groups could ever need. . . .is that heroism for you?. . . .should he be decorated for this?
I agree with you completely. Wikileaks should be seen as the western arm of alquaeda because it is only their purpose that they serve and no one else

sunch:
For close to 3weeks now, i've been hauntd by the thought of my girlfriend whom i broke up wit due to disagreement. I've been dying to recieve her call for her apology for each passing day.
I dnt want 2b d first person to call, due to the fact dat if i shld , shd wld take advantage of it and take it for grantd, which has happend before. I knw she loves me and same i do dearly. I need your candid and precise thought on this issue
3 weeks is more than enough time to start and consolidate on a new relationship which is what I think she has done. In which case you have become bad rubbish in her life. Meanwhile here you are thinking how she is missing you!

You have to accept that some relationships were not meant to be. Both of you come across as proud and egoistic. Even if you succeed in the short term to revive your moribund relationship it is only a matter of time b4 it goes crashing.

My advice? Get yourself a new girl and live the life
Romance › Re: Can Any Of U Get Married To An Hardcore Lesbian? by Pennywise(m): 10:23am On Nov 28, 2010
Hardcore lesbian by definition are men-haters.

They will usually not marry a man and if you have the misfortune of marrying one out of love, know that there is something (non-sexual) you possess that she finds attractive. Find out what it is so that when you lose it, you know when to run.

Cheers.

Kobojunkie:
Epe, Badagry, and Ikorodu are Local Government areas within Lagos State. Lagos Island, and Lagos Mainland are also Local Government Areas in Lagos State. There is no Town or city called Lagos (especially one that has a population of 14.9 million) in Lagos State just as you have NewYork City for New York.

http://www.traxmap.com/maps/nigeria/LagosRoute/csearch.asp
These towns existed b4 the local govts were created and they are there till tomorrow. Your arguing from now till whenever will not change anything

Politicians can chose to create 10 local govts from Badagry or Epe it doesnt change the fact that these are towns separate historically and geographically from Lagos town

I recall while growing up being taught that Ikeja was capital of Lagos state and Lagos was capital of Nigeria. The city of Lagos has grown to assimilate separate towns like Ikeja but it is not the case with these other towns mentioned with their separate population and demographics

Kobojunkie:
So now, my guess is you think there is a separate town/city called Lagos within the state called Lagos, is that the case here? You do know that Lagos refers to the STATE and not some town or city within Lagos?
^^^There is a town inside Lagos state that is called Lagos. At the same time there are other towns in Lagos state that is not part of Lagos town. Hope this helps.

If there was genuine reason for suspicion and the bride advised against marrying this criminal she would have said her chance at eternal happiness had been taken away from her.

The gangleader groom should be single-out for proper lessons while awaiting trial. And of course worthless marriage annulled.

Romance › Re: Your First Time Experience At Toasting (wooing) Or Being Toasted? by Pennywise(m): 12:06pm On Nov 26, 2010
Not sure if this experience counts. It wasnt my first attempt at toasting (the 1st I prefer not to remember) but I was still a 16yr old varjeeen who just smashed Jamb. So, confidence was not in short supply.

Her mother owned a shop where she helped out regularly. I read her gaze and I knew I couldnt be wrong. So I penned a nice letter and gave it to one smallie to take to her.Plan was to take her out that afternoon and thereafter execute a very well choreographed sequence of events. Anyway, the dutiful smallie did not see her and so he gave it to her illiterate mother who wasted no time coming to tell me things as they are in full view of the whole wide world. She tot I was a good boy being influenced by bad friends. But she was wrong. There is no good 16yr old boy around teenage girls.

Anyway I lost my virginity within a year under circumstances not entirely different. But this time no letter whatsoever. Many years later, you cant pin a suggestive text message on me.
