Yes this particular damage has been done. But SEC need to have these complaints so that when
formulating policies and guidelines they will take acts like these into consideration.

You could be a home tutor.Most concerned parents recognize that pupils and students these days need some kind of private classes. 3-4 one hr visits in a week could earn you 10-12k/mth for a family. 3 families, 36k/mth Circulate leaflets and say things that will inspire confidence by your prospective clients in you. Good luck.

Ohh. Apologies to last poster. Didnt look.

I don't think going to court is the best thing to do under the circumstance. Waste of time and money even though there is a tribunal said to handle these cases with dispatch. I agree with ed. Get another broker and seek transfer of your stock, then dispatch a formal complaint about this to SEC.

Some brokers are notorious for buying you stock you didnt ask for because they want to collect commission from you and seller who also happen to be their client.They will tell you they couldnt get this and so had to get you that. This is one of the areas of operator abuse the NSE/SEC need to look into.

@publicview
Let the stock investor wait for one year or thereabout dreaming,maybe before then the market will crash, reducing the invested stock to nots
Honestly, I had the same fears about the NSE considering our well known fraud-prone nature combined with weak regulation/enforcement practices. But no stock market crashes and remains down, inevitably they go back up. Infact when you consider the speed that many of these MLM, pyramid schemes recover each time they go bust in Nigeria, it gives one confidence that the NSE will do better than the big exchanges of the world in the event of a major set back. So this is not a reason not to invest.

Eeeeee. All men are condemned to a life of kneeling down for the woman except the celibate breed. As if y'all don't already know.If you have not knelt down for woman before, lets know you.

@seun
I'm begging you in the name of whatever God you believe in not to invest in the stock market. As an outsider, you will most likely not make any money. You should especially not invest your life savings in the stock market.

Do you want to start a business? We can help you with brainstorming; we can help you to discover business ideas that you'll be able to execute just fine with just your brain and your hands. So your destiny will be in your hands. please don't throw away your valuable capital. I know you must have labored one way or the other for it.
I cant believe seun said this. He should be hanged.

Unfortunately It is the case that some younger girls only feel at home with older guys.And this has no bearing on whatever worldly gains she stands to get from the relationship. And wait for it, some even spend on their male companion.

Point of correction. Males actually breastfeed for life.
Politics › Re: Power Sector Scandal: Obj Owns Pre-paid Meter Company! by Pennywise(m): 7:01pm On Apr 09, 2008
Its amazing how this fellow (Obasanjo) who until recently was carrying his weight about as a statesman and African leader has been reduced to an amoral being and a sleaze vendor on a grand scale. I cant think of any country in the world that will tolerate the amount of corrupt fraudulent acts that have been linked to Obasanjo. In the East (China) he would have since been tried and shot. I am aware that America (the home of democracy) routinely dispenses 800yr jail terms for lesser fraud related crimes.

The question is why should the Nigerian people continue to tolerate this nonsense.

Statements like these make you think that some threads are actually traps that have been set up in wait for the usual customers. So one has to tread carefully.

The poster's comment (regarding a 2 week ultimatum) surely bring's him out as a seasoned player even at 23. Some guys will include a budget and vary it according to the girl's percieved worth within a given time frame. It is hard to blame these guys because there is so much love scam going on. On the other hand well intentioned genuine relationships frequently don't go any where because the girl chose to be clever by half.

My guy, I think you are in serious trouble and this is no joke. I however hope you will get someone to whom you feel connected before you are 30 otherwise your life and carrier is screwed.

Ope darlin,

Dont mind the rascal. I keep trying to get him a job. Nobody will have him. He likes to pay embarrassing compliment to every lady in sight in the name of toasting.He thinks he is God's original gift to women.

@topic
I don't think there is anything spectacular with a guy who is 38 for instance dating a girl that is 28 or 27 or even 20 if they connect well. Especially if the guy has the looks, mentally flexible, if not athletic at least not pot-bellied.Nobody will pay attention if they are seen walking down the street hand in hand.

People will certainly glare at Okoya and his bride but I think they are both very happy and in love.Very few aphrodisiac can be as strong as raw cash especially when applied in the right amount and currency. I wont doubt it if the young bride experienced her first real orgasm with this 60yr old man. And for the guy, you can tell he has never been happier.He will go to his grave with all his 32 teeth in full view. That is one good example of a successful 'dating a younger girl'.
Politics › Re: Gen. Ishaya Bamaiyi Discharged And Acquited! by Pennywise(m): 3:56pm On Apr 03, 2008
Tragic. The judiciary has once again failed the nation. The NJC should pay more attention to the caliber of men and women being made judges otherwise we are headed for doom in the very near future. The prosecution couldnt have established a case of guilt more clearly. Another criminal has just been let off the hook. Bamaiye can go home with all his retirement benefits but should attempt to sin no more.

I am truly astounded seeing a couple of boys (esp in the stock tips section) dictate conditions under which affairs should be run on nairaland. I just laugh and look away. You drew my attention I hadnt looked in a long while. The forum has been a phenomenal success without unwanted censorship. This blackmail should be ignored. Whoever left will come back using the usual fake names.

No medium or publication can hope to thrive when it begins censorship of any kind or form. Seun can create an exclusive section for people desiring exclusivity but it shouldnt be free. They should be made to pay a nominal fee and lets see how it thrives.

Leave Ope alone. You lost the battle for her in this life and the one beyond. BTW we had an early morning breakfast today and she asked me to tell you hi. Hopefully we will be visiting some friends and you too if you will behave yourself.

Yes whatever she tells you about me is true. And whatever I tell you about her, you have to take it like that. Now go and look for sth to do.

@Ope baby
I see the fire you started is still raging. This thread is on its way to 400 pages of free for all. The title dating girls is by itself fraught with hidden mines but you still went ahead and complicated it with the adjective younger. Better don't run away. You will come and tell us exactly what you were thinking in your mind when you started it.

@Ops
Mon ami. If you read my last post in that thread carefully you will find that the egocentric landlords are in fact the victims that need our sympathy. I see a bunch of mostly young exuberant conceited fellows who out of being so frequently called stock gurus are beginning to see themselves as such. They try to create exclusivity in a public forum and ignore genuine requests for assistance from folks who were directed there. I spent all my time trying to find answers for these folks when I could.

If the thread had been maintained as an avenue to share information about companies (listed or intending to list), the economy, observation/critical appraisal of the perfomance by regulatory bodies it would have been taken much more seriously.I don't at this stage expect anybody to tell me what stock to buy, because usually they would have bought it! Right now stocks are bleeding let the gurus show themselves.

In answer to your query, no I am not interested neither do I care. I get my papers daily, visit a few websites and keep an eye on my money. If I feel strongly about any issue I write.For every editor who feels my views can't be published there are two that will publish.
