This thread makes very interesting reading. I have been looking for a long time to see the real selling point of this pre-order business over instant purchase. Again, I am disappointed. Every buyer should know that the instant you commit cash to this arrangement, you become a tool in the hand of the seller. Pre-order favors only the seller. Especially the new entrant and the financially insecured. I cant recommend a truly established seller, conscious of his name and reputation to go into pre-order contract for a car his client had neither seen nor driven. If everything goes well, he still has to contend sometimes with a buyer's remorse. So in my own assessment, a pre-order seller is a desperate seller not the kind you give N5m if u truly worked hard for it. But some can dole outN25m for a car and will not come to NL to vent even if they are disappointed (but you have to be wary of people like these cos they might kidnap and dump your body in the Lagoon, one cold night). In summary my impression of NL car pre order sellers is that they are upstarts. Buyers should know the risk and the limitations of a legal/legitimate recourse if things turn sour. A mere thread on NL cannot get your money back. It may slow the seller's business for a short while but it cannot stop it. The more successful pre-order dealers should break away and bring in cars buyers can feel and touch before they pay. No one can build and expect to sustain a name in pre-order used car business. |
onila: yeaIf u are fine dating Louis Gates who looks 60ish why are u not comfortable with a 48yr old or u wish ur friend was 48? |
The Americans are only just knowing what Fela knew all a long-that our military are nothing but zombies. But when it comes to creative invoicing in equipment acquisition or skimming off pension allowances the Americans will be surprised at how little they know. |
ROSYL: The answer is VIAGRA or wateva they call it.Well lets just hope our Senate president doesnt end up in one hotel room foaming from the mouth like they usually do. |
kennygee: What does this woman do for a living and what is she famous for?I always wondered. Airforce1: David Mark is really really trying for dis girl. So, David Mark is it!! That ugly old fool. The way she ceased the headlines squandering money from Nigeria all the way to Dubai and America since her widely reported divorce told me there has to be a major freeloader behind her. But how can David Mark with his shrunken diiic.k truly satisfy a gurl like this? She is definitely a wise girl. Before any of you guys know what is happening this babe will be your FRSC Chairperson pretty much like the one heading NDLEA. Well why not? This is Jonathan's govt after all. |
17 hrs of driving! Whaow. Anyway he can still get laid several times on his way home. |
A man who has fought his own life's battles and won- a snr advocate no less would have read his son and known the risks. He definitely could have forseen this but didnt take appropriate measures most likely because of the mother- it usually is. Men should always trust their instinct and judgement and should never be swayed by a woman whose decisions are always based on sentiments. Imagine a drug addict son of a senior advocate? When men call family meetings and take out paid adverts disowning purported children pple think they are being extreme. He could have been alive today. And who says a 21yr old is too old to get a beat up by his dad. Unless if na old age pikin. If I had one, I will stone him against d wall before I banish him while leaving d door open for his mother. Poor soul. May he rest in peace. |
Does anybody have any clue about who hacked or sponsored NL to be hacked? We need to know so we can properly streamline and direct our curse? |
Amokwe: Sounds like Oba is siding APCNo, the Oba is siding the Governor not APC. Silence from the palace will mean an acquiecence of the Oba which will translate literarily into more petrol in the opposition propaganda. In contemporary Nigerian politics u can be at the center of a huge mass propaganda sleeping in your bed and completely ignorant of what is going on. And why will the Oba not side a governor who came to develop his domain when a son of the soil did nothing but loot the treasury for 8 long yrs. On account of this the Gov has been endeered to the palace that has been full of praises and blessing for Oshiomole. Even giving him a chieftaincy title. The gov must have felt appointing a son of the Oba into government will enhance relationships so a sixth son loafing around the palace ground was put forward. Now the ambitious loafer must have been promised governoship ticket by the PDP who didnt know he existed until Oshomole brought him out of the palace. Why is this so hard to understand? |
I hope he gets to serve his sentence in Nigeria. British jails are nothing but guest houses complete with internet access. Eight years for a crime like this is no more than a slap on the wrist. The British are actually aiding and abetting 419. His victims can only get justice if he is tried in an American court and repatriated to serve out his sentence in Kirikiri maximum. |
nobilis: NMA is not trying to stifle anybody's growth. You are the ones causing troubles for yourselves. Let us take one instance. Just like lab scientists will say, there is a difference between a lab technologist and a lab scientist. What will the lab scientists do when the lab technologists start agitating that they are not being paid equally and that they also want to be addressed as scientists and that they should also have a say in the work the lab scientists are doing to the extent that they may actively disrupt such work?Your presentation is logical but its not entirely accurate. An important part of Johesu contention is that doctors are given undeserved reverence and pay consideration not necessarily because of the service they provide but because of the title 'consultant' and that they have no monopoly over this title. They may have a point there considering that the word consultant does not truly describe the relationship these doctors have with the hospital to whom in actual fact they are nothing but employees like other staff neither are they to patients (where is the agreement?). Somehow I think early British doctors started this craze with their desire to be seen as being above all else. We see this behavior even among British surgeons who dont want to be called mere doctors or consultants any more. They insist you call them 'Mr'. Utter nonsense. Medical practice in the 21st century has gone way beyond titles, demi-godism and glory to functionality. Some of us still do not get it. I am amazed when I occasionally visit hospitals and I see our nurses all geared up in their regal white with caps when scrubs have taken over every where else. What's my point? That doctors should disregard the 'consultant' appellation as it is archaic and it does not truly describe the terms of employment even more so that it is causing so much friction in the health sector. They should stick with specialist physician, gynaecologist, urologist as the case may be. Heck, some in private practice even put up the appellation 'consultant clinic'. The meaningless appellation is merely giving ammunition to Johesuites as they are called. But allied health workers should know that no amount of noise making and agitation can remove doctors from their number one position in healthcare delivery. All things considered you are already over paid doing your job. It is a fantasy to assume doctors will sit idly by and watch you walk home with the same salary because u make the most noise? Final way out? Govt should immediately put up these hospitals for sale! |
If govt cam sell Nigeria airways, PHCN, Steel plants, what the hell is a teaching hospital or a federal medical center that cannot be sold? Let everybody go home and re apply for jobs. I dont see any other real solution in sight. Some of these hospitals are already being run for profit anyway. Standards will improve and these rank opportunism will die. The Federal govt should immediately call for bids!!!! This never-ending fight and opportunism is disrupting and poisoning the Nigerian health sector. Substandard and worthless degrees are being sponsored every where inorder to undermine each other. If you are a consultant nurse or pharmacist then wait for a vacancy so u can apply and tell ur employers what u must be paid!! |
This one will still end up in a man's home some day as a wife! America does have them. |
I heard siren from Yabaleft, Aro and Uselu Central'S ambulances. Guess dey are after one person nd dat personae is just right up dia. Gud luck in submittin ursef to treatment cos throwin tantrums here won't redeem u.
You see? And this one want to be a PharmD too? The only siren you hear is the one coming out of your ars.e which I will respectfully ask you to remove from here. |
Samgreguc: d fact dat one have attended 3 tert. Doesn't mean he isn't intelligent. Pls, I wil appreciate if u wil b reasonable to that.We understand that. But this one is a foool. And unless he comes out to apologize properly, an unmitigated foool he will remain. |
To professors and other eminent pharmacists who have spent a life time building pharmacy into a reputable profession in Nigeria but yet keep mute as charlatans appropriate pharmacy to meet selfish end, I say shame on you all. You have all been accused and you stand guilty until you come out individually to condemn this act by a few to politicize pharmacy. Those at the fore front are mostly ignorant students (who are actually victims) and ambitious B pharms a few years old in the profession who want to do 'one year conversion' in order to be called 'dr'. It clearly shows that anything goes in Nigeria Pharmacy. How can you then be respected as a professor of a discipline where just about anything goes? How do you hold up your head in the comity of scholars and professors? I know of a prof from that same school (probably retired now) who will bring down characters like this evanscheck with a shot gun. |
evanscheck: pennyfoolish, is that u. i made one worst mistake, which was to count you among those that are wise, seriously i regret it. successful doctors dont even have time to check who is using their tag to impersonate.the real big boys in ur proffession are busy making it and saving lives everyday and u are here looking for who has used Dr in their name. u are such a disgrace to ur immediate family, extended family and ur community that ever believed in you . such a collosal waste of funds and resources.A failed investment. am sorry but the truth must be said.Thank you for promoting me to the league of successful drs. Loooolz. U are a very intelligent boy. But you are not intelligent enough to know that as a rebel pharmacist, you have signed up to a life of servitude and frustration. Drs and senior pharmacists will sit and shiit on your head in govt and in private. With or without your certificate you will be expelled from an elite community of professionals. All of a sudden you are a vagabond with a worthless certificate called PharmD. And you feel nothing but shame each time someone call you dr bc in your mind you know PharmD is nothing but a tool of deception. There must be order in the Nigerian health sector. Rascals like evanscheck seeking to offset this order will be actively sought by genuine doctors and pharmacists alike and taken down like a dog. That is your destiny to which you can now say Amen. |
Ulonwadi: As the question wasn't directed at you, I have no business answering you. Go continue looking for vacancies, today might be your dayJob hunting has always been strange to me cos I never had a problem getting any since graduation. On the other hand your search for instant fortune and wealth will soon bring u to Mr Penny (the only reasonable thing called me by a garrulous biatch on this thread) cos U like sth huge and flashy. Not that PharmD is ever taking u beyond the front desk but u can enjoy the AC bf u go trudging in the blistering sun. I may open my cctv audio to hear them gossip your life, mute it when tired and then come back to NL. Bpharm will open doors for you while PharmD will shut it in your face bc it means nothing more than a fraudulent title created to usurp without bringing any real value. Introduce your self as a pharmacist and not as a doctor sb. And I hope the Uniben sponsors of this corrupt Nig variant are on this thread bc they cannot continue to defy common sense and logic. Nigerian educational system as it concerns the health sector has been respected worldwide. We cannot let people on account of greed, pride , ambition and whatever motive screw it up. |
Its a pity that the UBTH that I hold in such high esteem has to be the place accommodating this unholy act. I know a good number of well placed pharmacists who graduated from that school and they will be horrified about this ignominy that is being perpetrated there. One that Lagos, Ibadan, Ife, UNN, ABU and any other pharmacy school of repute in Nigeria has refused to subscribe to. I strongly recommend a probe of the originator of this program, its finances and prison terms meted out as appropriate. All the so called graduates of this program should be sought and the fake certificates recovered beginning with dr ULOWANDI. |
Ulonwadi: the title "Dr" has been patented by MBBS graduates? Are you joking or do you regularly think with your anus? What do you think with? Your preek? |
Ulonwadi: I noticed your serious hatred for Pharmacists na wa o, did you fail out of Pharmacy school? Uniben has been awarding B Pharm And Pharm D to its grauduates, the five year undergraduate course and the last year for conversion, unfortunately many of you do not know this and you keep exhibiting vocal diarrhoea. You claim not to be a pharmacist then why you carry our matter for head na? are you that jobless? So you did 'one year conversion' so that you can write prescriptions and kill people? You are a very dangerous man. You are a licensed murderer. How dare you say because you peeped in the wards for one year, you are better than responsible B pharm? Now that the NUC has reversed itself, you had better hand in that certificate. What hunger and desperation will drive you to play 'doctor' with real human lives when you know that you are not truly qualified? And you have the temerity to come to a forum like this and show your self? I bet you take deliveries and do abortions in your pharmacy too This is the exact same character I talked about in my post earlier and you people didnt believe me. Now tell us what other things you have been doing dr Ulowandi. |
Oh mine, oh mine. Anyone who foresees a logical end to this acrimony between doctors and allied health workers in the near future is living in a dream world. The issues are many but fundamentally the following stand out: 1.The political structure of the country: We started out as a federation and ended up as a unitary system of Government. There can be no real solution unless the federal govt sells the hospitals outright or at least hand them over to states!!! 2.The position of medical doctors from beginning is already entrenched in acts establishing these teaching hospitals and possibly FMC. Unless the laws are amended all other allied health professionals have lost the battle before the first shot is fired and the doctors know it. 3.Does the Chief executive of the Nation have the mindset, the clout or perhaps sufficient interest to midwife above changes? I think not. In the meantime quality of healthcare delivery will suffer, strikes will continue unabated like clockwork as both parties continue to undermine each other. For doctors to give up headship of these institutions, the law first has to be changed. But their comparing university headship with hospital headship is being disingenous. A lot has changed in the world since those hospitals were established. The allied health practitioners on the other hand are trying to gain leverage by 'doctorizing' their first degrees using misplaced references in other climes like doctor of optometry, pharmD etc further entrenching anarchy and chaos in a compromised healthcare delivery system. |
Shori: Ok ''almighty'' Dr. Pennywise...Thank you for the promotion but I am not the subject of this debate. Tell the world why you think the NUC should reverse itself. |
Shori: You're here ranting while the B.pharm,PharmD,MDs,Nurses and allied professionals are busy with their day-to-day activities... I think I get what your problem is - jealousy and execrable level of comprehension! I hope you change,I seriously hope you do.Are you sure you want to know me? No you dont. Your life will be so much better if you stick to topic. |
joker5180: spot on, lets them do pharm D but without the title 'Dr' attatched to their names. The title 'Dr' is at the core of this debate. They believe that since they spent 6yrs like medical students they are similarly entitled forgetting that architects spend 6yrs also. As an objective and impassioned observer, I want to be persuaded as to the genuiness of their cause. All I see are sentimental ramblings of nitwits and misfits and a deranged student who has no business being here at all. |
See as this one carry our matter for head!!! Okay, why not take the next plane to US and goan strip them of their pharmD. Tell them they can't be addressed as doctors. Then come back here and tell us how it went!
You remain irrelevant. There is nothing I see in you that suggest you will ever graduate. I shouldnt even dignify posts from you with response. Now scram from this thread. |
@Topic There is no furor over doctor of pharmacy degree in Nigeria. The NUC was misled about parallel programs in the US and other countries with entirely different needs and they gave a conditional approval. The University Of Benin jumped at it and possibly some substandard Universities. The more notable institutions determined to maintain respect and dignity for Pharmacy couldnt be bothered. Apparently the NUC didnt reckon that graduating students will arrogate the title 'Dr' to themselves and will actually start acting like true doctors in hospitals even constituting nuisance on a public forum. That approval has now been withdrawn. This is where we are. Real pharmacists, lets discuss. |
'dr'andrew or drered, the PharmD with a high 'IQ' I see u lurking around this thread once more. Come and teach your fellow mice how to bell this cat. What was your jamb score by the way. It was high but not enuff to read medicine? Ode. Know your enemy before u take on him. Foool. |
drered: Lmao. A guy with your IQ should have a low voice too but Nooo you have no chill.. Err. The dr. in my name? Lol. U mean the Dre that stands for AnDREw?.. .. Are you always stupid or is this a special occasion? I'd ignore you henceforth..Go bring all your PharmD brothers and sisters. Your skull is so thick it is impervious to rational exchange. I am prepared to employ even more extreme measures and tactics. If ur IQ was any better you will know there is a difference btw a PharmD and a medical doctor Congrats. U have just earned yourself a PharmD killer on NL. Watch out. I always deliver on my promise. This will be executed in such a spectacular manner that when you are called PharmD u will feel the stigma like a bee stinging you in a hundred places same time. |
Where are all the pharmDs on NL and I dont mean students. This is your thread. Come back and let me tell u as it is. |
drered: Your "stellar" self is shoved so deep inside your ass that you can't see that the really uncouth and unmannered persons here are the so-called doctors. Making crappy generalisation. Smh.. Ya'll need to stop being insecure..It has been said no one truly has anything against pharmD. But the few mths u spent peeping into wards doesnt give u any advantage over Bpharm and certainly doesnt guarranttee u the Dr title. U have been lied to. U like the title so much u even add it to your username in an anonymous forum. U should be ashamed. I am sure the doctors here are perfectly able to defend themselves. They dont need me. U have no business in the wards. U should be stripped of your escort priviledges at ward rounds since u, a helper now want to be master. Doctors will have u chained to your cubicle while Bpharms do big things in the pharmaceutical world. If u as a PharmD dare call yourself Dr to me I will have u stripped and shamed and no pharmacist is coming to ur rescue. |
That's ur opinion, good for you. God knows i tried my best not to involved any brawl until that one kept comparing pharmacy to architecture. Archi is not an health science, if they like they should spend 10 years in school, it's got nothing on the decision of pharmD or not. That's what i was trying to make him see buh inability to reason or i don't understand. Whatever, I apologize! Can we......
Can we be friends? Sharrap. Get out of here go look for your play mate. Remember everything that has been written here next time u want to brag to a girl that u are a doctor to be. U aint shiet. U will forever remain a dreamer. Stop talking and dont come back. Look at me thinking I could have a civil convo with supposedly learned professionals not knowing all they want, is to be called doctors while counting tablets. Fraudsters. This is the real world. No amount of strike will help u over this matter. Listen to your senior colleagues. |
