No Email Subject Line/heading
Just like a news story headline, mail subject line gives the recipient a peep into the content of your mail.



This is most important for busy persons/professionals who are bombarded by tonnes of mails. Your mail has more chances of being given the needed attention if it has a subject.



Don’t leave your mail naked, ensure you adorn it with a beautiful attire that will leave the receiver drooling to see what’s inside.



No/poor salutation
Except you’re sending the mail to your friend, or your mum, there is need for a formal salutation.



Don’t make the mistake hitting ‘send’ without a proper salutation; that’s a one email blunder you’d avoid!



There are no hard and fast rule about this as you can use salutations like:

The Abia State Police Commissioner, Anthony Ogbizi, says that with the declaration of the Indigenous People of Biafra, (IPOB) as a terrorist group by the Defence Headquarters and its proscription by South-East governors, arrested members will be tried as terrorists.

He also noted that anyone found with Biafra materials will be meted with the same treatment.

Speaking in a media briefing at the Ariaria police station in Aba where seven suspected IPOB members were paraded, the Commissioner disclosed that they have arrested 59 suspected members of IPOB, in Abia State.

He also confirmed the death of an officer following his attack by IPOB members.

“As I am talking to you now, information reaching me said they have started gathering at Nnamdi Kanu’s house,” the commissioner said.

The Commissioner vowed that the police and other security outfits, will deal with IPOB and no stone will be left upturned in the quest to quell the group’s agitations.

Everton striker, Wayne Rooney has been banned from driving for two years as well as being handed 100 hours of community service after a court found him guilty of drink-driving.

Rooney pleaded guilty to the charges, admitting that he has let his family and fans down.

“Wayne wishes to express his genuine remorse for this terrible error of judgement that evening,” the court said.

“He’s let not only himself down but his family down. He also acknowledges he has let his fans down.”

Rooney, 31, was arrested in the early hours of September 1 after being pulled over by the police few miles away from his Prestbury, Cheshire home.

It was gathered that the Ex-Manchester United and England captain was found to be over the prescribed limit.

He was released on bail after being charged but will now appear in court, Monday.

United defeated Everton 4-0 on Sunday in Rooney’s first match against them since he rejoined Everton during the last transfer window.

Rooney spent 13 years at the Old Trafford where he won five English Premier League crowns and netted 253 goals.

The Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), has alleged that hundreds of its members in Rivers State and Abia, have not been accounted for since the beginning of the clash between it and the Nigerian Army.

In a statement by the Spokesman of IPOB, Emma Powerful, Thursday, it noted that those missing have been presumed dead.

“Hundreds of Biafran youths are still missing and presumed dead at the time of this statement. The few survivors of the Isiala Ngwa massacre, taken to secret detention centres in army barracks in and around Abia and Rivers states, are still unaccounted for,” Emma Powerful said.

He noted that they have a ‘video footage’ of “men of the Nigerian Army stationed at Isiala Ngwa junction (in Abia State) dragging people out of their vehicles and executing them in cold blood in broad daylight.”

In addition, the group accused the Nigerian Army of “Genocide and mass killings of Biafrans and Christian communities, especially in northern Nigeria, are nothing new. What is more troubling this time is that certain political office holders in the South-East are comfortable with the idea of inviting Hausa-Fulani Islamic army to come into Abia State to execute hundreds of young men and women in cold blood simply for asking for their right to self-determination.

“We hold Major Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai and Governor Okezie Ikpeazu as majorly responsible for the cold-blooded executions going on now in and around Abia State at this trying time.

“Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu saw it fit to invite the Nigerian military with their deplorable human rights record, to his state to kill civilians.”

It was gathered that the decision was to make the Chipolopolo acclamatize with the Nigerian weather ahead of the crunch tie.

They were also reported to be heading to Spain for a two-week intensive training ahead with Football Association of Zambia President, Andrew Kamanga, adding that the CHAN and COSAFA team will be joined by foreign-based players later.

19 persons have died in a motor accident along Kano-Katsina Road.



According to the Public Relations Officer of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) Sector Command in the state, Mr Kabir Ibrahim-Daura who said this, Saturday.

He noted that the incident occurred near Lambun Garban Bichi, on the outskirts of Bichi town, around 8:30 a.m. on Friday.

Speaking further, he noted that a Peugeot J5 bus and a Toyota C20 bus had a head-on collision when one of the drivers of the vehicles wanted to overtake the other vehicle at a sharp bend corner.

In addition, he said that the two vehicles bust into flames with 18 out of the 34 passengers in the bus burnt to ashes.

“There were 34 passengers on board the two vehicles, so 18 were burnt to ashes, while the other one died later in the hospital, “he said.

Kabir-Daura said the remaining 15 persons who sustained injuries were taken to Bichi General Hospital by the Corps’ personnel for treatment.

An 8.2 magnitude earthquake has struck Mexico's Southern Coast, leaving over 33 persons dead.

Also, there were severe damages in Oaxaca and Chiapas states.

President Enrique Peña Nieto said it struck the Pacific, about 87km (54 miles) south-west of Pijijiapan.

It was gathered that the quake, which struck at 23:50 local time, Thursday (04:50 GMT Friday), was felt hundreds of miles away in Mexico City as houses swayed.

Twenty-three people were said to have been dead in Mexico's Oaxaca state, with 17 of them in the town of Juchitán, state Governor Alejandro Murat said.

Also, seven more persons died in Chiapas and two children died in Tabasco state and one baby who died when power was cut to a respirator.

Not less than one person was killed in Guatemala, its president has said.

According to reports, the tremors lasted up to a minute with President Peña Nieto adding that 50 million Mexicans would have felt it; and that the death toll might rise.

Recall that a tsunami warning was issued for Mexico and other nearby countries, but later lifted.

FC IfeanyiUbah goal keeper, Ikechukwu Ezenwa, has said he was very confident when Gernot Rohr told him he will be in goal for the 2018 FIFA World Cup double header against Cameroon.

The Super Eagles had to fall back on Ezenwa after injury and sickness left out Daniel Akpeyi and Carl Ikeme respectively from the squad.

Speaking with Complete Sports Nigeria, the CHAN Eagles captain said that he had been preparing for such opportunity for years and thus was ready when called upon.

“Well, I will say it was very important for me because I have been waiting for this opportunity for long,” Ezenwa said.

“Don’t forget I’d been understudying Carl Ikeme and then Daniel Akpeyi who are both very good goalkeepers and they are doing very well for the team if not for the injury that knocked Daniel out and Carl’s battle with leukemia. So I could say I was sufficiently prepared because I’d learnt a lot from them.”


In addition, he said that: “I just had the belief that I can do it and it’s something I’ve been expecting for a long time. When the coach announced that I will be in goal, the first thing that came to my mind was ‘Ikechukwu, you can do it‘, and by the special grace of God I did it.”
