Nigeria, as big as she is, has a lot to learn from the Rep. of Benin in the area of religious tolerance and scerenity of worship. This country is just big for nothing. We claim to be born-again christians and pious muslims while we are everything but godly. A nation that mocks God by calling His name insincerely can never know peace. |

Macelliot: Nigeria will never move forward because we fail to tell ourselves the truth. .. Is Nigeria your country ? Did you tell him the truth when he was calling for blood ? Did you tell him the truth when he was instigating ethnic cleansing. ? Did you tell him the truth when he was busy making enemies of every other major tribe except the Ibo ? Or did you mean 'truth' according to your own dictionary ? Please tell him only lily-livered freedom fighters beg to be released, true heros don't. |

whirlwind7: Japan is a model country. If it were not for the series of natural disasters that often sets the country back, China should be playing a second fiddle to them. I read an impressive and heartwarming report early this year about Japan's railway authorities that kept a certain route running because of a single student passenger who lives in a very remote region that is accessible only by train. This girl takes the train to school and back everyday, and later became the sole passenger on that route, because her home is in a very remote region. The rail authorities had a meeting, and decided that they will keep the route in operation until this single passenger graduates from school! I saw pictures taken of that girl as she waited, boarded and read her books in the train while in transit. She was the ONLY passenger throughout. It brought tears to my eyes! Imagine the authorities operating at a loss over a single student! This is a country where the life and comfort of it's citizens is the number one priority of its government.
Also worthy of note is Japan's resolve never to grant entry into the country, to people of a certain religion. This is awesome ! It moved me to tears. I almost querried my creator for making me a Nigerian, nay, a black man. May He forgive me. Stories like this can make one want to burn down Nigeria. |

1. Who are the governors in yoruba speaking states ? Are they foreigners or stooges or outright inept in fighting yoruba cause ?
2. Where are the famous Agbekoyas ? Have they gone moribund or they just don't care what happens to yorubas and yorubaland ?
3. Where are the OPC ? Have they lost focus or become mere merchants ?
4. Where are the cotery of Self-Determination groups in Oduduwa land ? Are they genuine or phony ?
5.What about the traditional rulers ?
When did yoruba leaders become so non-chalant to violatons of our land, culture and integrity ?
"Awon agba po loja ori omo tuntun si nwo iwokuwo"
I think its about time yorubas begin to call their leaders' ineptitude to question and embarrass them on social media, etc, until they woke up to their duty. |

Ibos are trending in debauchery and mockery because they are intrinsically of the lower species of animals whose cognitive reasoning is archaic and debased.
Remove religion and the malams are naturally humane and co-habittable. Thats far more than one can say of Ibos - they are a tribe yet to come out of the cocoon of the 17th century. They delightfully revel in other people's misfortune and even seek to make financial gains therefrom which is animalistic and un-christianly. |

WE ARE NOT ONE! Nigeria is a group of individual nations lumped together to satisfy the greedy desires of the British over a century ago. However, we ought to have come of age to address our differences and spell out terms of existence going forward. As it currently stands, there is too much animosity , grudge and pain over unhealed wounds. If they are not addressed with determined reparation and proactive solutions, then Nigeria remains an accident waiting to happen to the largest congregation of Africans. Nigeria is not one and can never be one. Anything short of full regionalism or con-federation cannot work in this country. The problems bedeviling this country will continue to get worse until the bubble will burst through an unexpected catalyst. |

EastanPower: A lot of Yorubas are pretending they don't know what happened yesterday. The truth is that Yorubas took a greater part of the casualties in this conflict.
All the houses, shops and cars burnt down are owned by Yorubas including a celestial church on Yoruba soil!
I keep wondering why Yorubas see Igbos as their problem when all we do is to quarell online but the hausa/fulani will vandalise, murder and rape people as they like.
If we must be honest please which people are the problem we have in Nigeria biko nu? See what the hausa people are doing in another man's land for goodness sakes. this is nothing compared to what they do to Southerners in the north, you need to see the atrocities they commit during religious crisis in the north.
Where is the Oba of Lagos mr akiolu? When will he threaten the hausa with drowning in the lagoon
Why are these hausas not respecting their hosts
When will Yorubas demonstrate against hausas like this please?
Superstar1, Super1star MayorofLagos, Pentiumpro, Pensniper. If you ever want to be given any attention, learn to avoid assumptions in your posts. Contrary to your false claim, the malams took the brunt of yesterday's skemish and am sure they would be thanking their stars that army intervention was prompt. The yorubas took on both the malams and the police on the latter's arrival but the army from Ikorodu unit rescued them. Writing falsehood in order to make a point portrays immaturity. As to who is the problem of nigeria, i dare say the syndicate behind nigeria's problem cuts across ethnic and tribal lines. I am at pains to understand what makes the so-called leaders of this country think that nigeria can ever work with the present military and one-sided constitution. Common sense should've told them that nigeria needs a review after the expiration of the amalgamation document. Everbody simply carried on as if such a major phenomenon never occured in the life of the country especially considering the litany of conflicts plagueing this country. |
