PoliticsRe: Aisha Buhari's Impostor Passport In Jefferson bribery Scandal by PEREP: 3:06pm On Jun 21, 2016
This is a simple case here!

All these Oluwole 'justapoxture' won't help. Just write the US government to unveil the identity of the Buhari stated on the judgement and let all the 'English' stop.

A source declared Fayose 3 accounts in Zenith bank has less that 320M but EFCC source stated 1.2B. It is one lie fighting another possible lie.

For me, the bottom line is that FG cannot take action against a citizen under immunity but can be investigated and kept till that veil is lifted. Why the hurry and set a bad precedence? Thought some said Buhari no get Fayose time?
PoliticsRe: Senate Warns President Buhari To Stop Committing Impeachable Offences by PEREP: 3:07pm On Jun 20, 2016
Out of all, the below is the only basis for this warning;

It runs counter to the principle outlined by the Supreme Court in the Adesanya Vs Senate case where it was held that nobody should seek to use the courts to achieve what he or she has failed to push through on the floor of the National Assembly.

In Fayose's words, 'The people breeding and hailing the lion might end in his belly'
PoliticsRe: Fayose Says FG Plots To Impeach Him by PEREP: 9:20pm On Jun 19, 2016
sumborri:
please name any government on earth whose governor tried to sabotage the econommic efforts of the president before the international community. In russia such a man will be jailed in siberia, in north korea such a man will be shot in a public square, yet fayose moves about freely despite having commited treason. A crime against his fatherland because of partisan politics. Fayose has gone beyond an opposition to an enemy of the state. Maybe you don't know how ruling parties silence opposition. Do you silence the opposition by revealing truths about them? Or would you say all accused to date are innocent ?
In Russia, North Korea? Is that our benchmark now?

If China was handing over funds to us on a donation level, then it is sabotage but not anything that could collapse the economy totally.

Do you ask how GEJ strides to get weapons were frustrated from opposition? The govt should charge them to court and test the case of Treason they have and not to arrest and keep indefinitely (that is GROSS human right abuse)

PMB should keep acting like he has forever and not face governance to impress the country men. Except if rigged/harrass Nigerians, I doubt he can win a presidential election

This man never ceases to amaze me, so he feels wronged because some people want to sabotage his failed government at ekiti , a failed situation that pushed a pastor to steal soup and lafu. Well oga if your hands are clean, then no fear, but if it is, then you will learn that he who lives in a glass house shouldn't throw stones, lest they create uncontrollable storms
You guys don't cease to Amaze me. It is clear to the blind GMB is silencing the opposition and will do anything to get Fayose. If the FG had no motive, why arrest a member of the house without a charge and practically torture him to incriminate the Gov?

PoliticsRe: Fuel Scarcity Looms As Marketers ‘doublecross’ FG After Price Hike by PEREP: 4:20pm On May 26, 2016
chigoizie7:
FG are so daft.

1st u calculated @ d template of 300/$ to arrive @ N145. Good.

2nd, u allowed the value of naira to dollar to be determined by the market when u really don't have enough dollars to go around. In this case, the demand outweighs the supply, automatically, the price will increase which means, if it increases and the marketers are able to get fx finally @ above 300/$ will they still sell @ N145?

FG make una ask una selves that question.no business man will want to be @ lose here.

The problem of this govt is that they make policy "A" today, and then they make policy "B" the next day, a policy that will counter policy "A" entirely.

Their inconsistency has made everyone to stand and be watching them. They are not organised @ all, CBN governor, finance minister, petroleum minister. Are all working differently, they should be working together to avoid this their policy and counter policies.

To me, this government in power is not competent enough to run the affairs of this nation.
What is missing is the coordinating minister of the economy since the Presy and VP won't have the luxury of time to do this.

The whole script was well thought of;

Create 3-6 months scarcity and Nigerians will beg for removal of Fuel Subsidy.

PoliticsRe: GTB And Eco Bank To Close Down In Ekiti Next Week by PEREP: 6:17pm On May 09, 2016
Are the two Ekiti Govt banks? They only live on Ekiti state govt funds or what?

If the state won't deal with those banks, they face customers who are not Salaried customers and move on.

Dissecting the issue that led to this is critical.
All banks in Ekiti bank road agree to work wih state govt for the repair of the leading road to their business area. All others complied except these two. The govt have since cut all ties with their business properties by taking out services offered to them including accesss culverts to their premises to show displeasure on the part of govt.

The two banks should address the courts if aggrieved to test the popularity of the govt's Actions on revenue drive just like the catholic diocese of Ekiti did.

PoliticsRe: Danladi Umar Shouts At Raphael Oluyede, Saraki's Lawyer by PEREP: 8:51pm On Apr 21, 2016
lawrenzooo:
The chairman cannot just come out to say his court aired without claims to back it up legally.

Talking about fair hearing the judiciary is not an institution that can easily be monopolised that's why the constitution allow judgment to be appealed and challenged upto the supreme Court.

Prosecuting counsel is only speculating that justice Umar would not be fair as a result of his romance with EFCC with no evidence to back it up. And the judiciary work with evidence no rumours.
The admittance of error on Tinubu's case without effort to insist a review is not enough?
PoliticsRe: Danladi Umar Shouts At Raphael Oluyede, Saraki's Lawyer by PEREP: 3:34pm On Apr 21, 2016
lawrenzooo:
And why is Saraki so scared of this Umar guy? A clear conscience fears no accusation. Umar as a judge is at liberty to either step down or go ahead provided no part of the constitution stood against him. So if he chooses not to step down. I don't see any wrong in it.
This is not a case of ffear but fair hearing. This case is far from that and it is glaring when you put this sidee by side with same case answered by Tinubu.

Umar has not seek a review of his judgement as per Tinubu to be seen as a fair judge but decided to see Saraki's case witth a different view.
PoliticsRe: Danladi Umar Shouts At Raphael Oluyede, Saraki's Lawyer by PEREP: 1:23pm On Apr 21, 2016
Why is Umar hell bent on trying Saraki? If there is nothing personal, hand it over to another Judge.

This is what happens when a judicial arm of government have one of its courts under the Presidency.

Drama still plenty and we are watching

EFCC is again on the path of loosing many of the cases in court because many arrests is just on impulse and not because there is aan established case.

PoliticsRe: Ekiti Lawmakers 'offered' $1m To Remove Fayose by PEREP: 9:00pm On Mar 08, 2016
maupe:
I believe the allegation made by the Ekiti state governor to be true, but I doubt the President is aware of such an action. I can recall his interview by CNN's Amanpour just after he won the elections. I remember he vehemently denied being aware of the draconian activities which were popular during his first stint in power. The same scenarios maybe at work again. But the onus is on the governor to make his fears known to the President before the allegation becomes a Part of political history
The same way he was not aware of the budget? What exactly is he aware of?

I just called Aboki and it is 310/USD. The change is temporary.

We need to have more FX channel iinto the country to enable the market meet demand.

Let the govt get to work, strike new business deals, open new channels of transactions and not just focus on Anti-corruption which brings more uncertainty for investors.

Mr Ubah, but some people said it was Buhari's cluelessness...

Wailers will hide their head in shame!!
It is Cluelessness on the part of this administration to have no iota of solution in the face of over-Priced USD and it takes an individual citizen to play the mind game and there was a free fall.

Though from all indication, the free fall will only be a function of Nigerians heeding to his voice to shun the dollar. How far we will go without dollar in an import dependent economy is left for the imaginations.

There must be deliberate step by the government to create business opportunities that willl generate FX (Solid Minerals, Gas, Coal, Bitumen and the likes are still available)

PoliticsRe: Fayose To FG: Keep Your TSA, We Are Not Interested. by PEREP: 1:06pm On Feb 20, 2016
mrmetoo1:
The TSA money is going to end back up in circulation by the way of funding the budget. That way it even works better for Nigerians because it's more spread either by way of income or infrastructural development than banks that decide on who they feel the need to enrich or not depending on an unfair criteria. Look at all the bad loans at AMCON. The people that get the loans are the ones that fell like they have the power of getting away with it if they don't pay back. The small business doesn't even stand a chance when you tell them to get collateral that's equal to the loan they're trying to secure. On top of that these bank guys try to fleece them off every dime those ones have managed to gather themselves.
Let's get practical here!

When the funds were in the banks, were MDAs denied access to them by banks for the purpose of funding government expenditures? It is a No answer.

While the budget is growing through debate, what value is the money in CBN creating compared to putting it to use with short term financing? The latter is far better.

This issue is very clear, you don't need funds with CBN before you streamline your accounting process to understand how much you have and where you have it.

A simple reporting process by banks to CBN will do the magic.
PoliticsRe: Fayose To FG: Keep Your TSA, We Are Not Interested. by PEREP: 12:58pm On Feb 20, 2016
mrmetoo1:
So basically we should give banks government money so that they get bigger and that to you is a fair deal. Some of those graduates could have used the funds to start their own businesses and provide employment for more people rather than sit behind a desk in a bank. Lack of funds, lack of infrastructure is killing ideas, basically hindering development in this country. I don't see how a bank getting huge affects anyone except the executives. Bank worker salaries haven't increased over the years even with all that money, as a matter of fact I think they was a time they had a pay cut and there hasn't been an upward review at the salaries for many years. Nigerian banks have never been friends of SMEs, which should be what's driving our economy. They may talk about it but they don't do anything. They fund those they know, they can make easy money back from.
The Postulation here is clear.

Let's look @ the era where liquidity within the system is better with Govt funds in banks and when it lies without economic value in CBN.

The banks will come out better I can assure you because they got a business to do but a possible shrink in staff, venturing into new frontiers among other limitations will characterize the space and definitely affect the economy the more.

We as a people need to purge our hate for banks because we think charges are point of extortion as if there are no bills to be paid.

Let's see how far the current stand of government carry us. At least Garba Shehu (Media SA to President) said the fight against corruption will stimulate the economy.
PoliticsRe: Fayose To FG: Keep Your TSA, We Are Not Interested. by PEREP: 11:41am On Feb 20, 2016
mrmetoo1:
Oh please total BS. When the banks had all that money in their accounts, what did they do with it? Of what use is it to the economy if a bank has all that money in its vault? Money that wasn't used to grow businesses. Most of the money TSA mopped up ended up in government officials and bank executive pockets. The past administration came up with TSA because they knew it was a way to curb corruption, it wasn't implemented because it will curb corruption. If they were so worried about the immediate withdrawal, they had at least 3 years to collect all that money and give banks whatever time they needed to adjust. All that talk of Jonathan saying we'll fight corruption with technology, to fight corruption we need to separate the goat from the yams, what do your think he was talking about? The way money can affect the economy is if it's pumped back in the economy, not because some banks have bulging vaults. Money that would have eventually ended up in private pockets.
When we had the funds, we traded with it, made more money, opened new branches, employed more graduates, provide business opportunity for other businesses - ATM suppliers, Bricklayers, Cash movement companies, Security outfits etc.

As it stands today, any major fund required by any of the production giants will likely not see the light except Federal Govt go the way of Stimulus plan for such companies/sectors.

We are worse off as a nation with moniess sitting in CBN without putting them to work.
PoliticsRe: Fayose To FG: Keep Your TSA, We Are Not Interested. by PEREP: 11:35am On Feb 20, 2016

@bolded,

Please can you buttress what you meant by that word 'CHOKE' the banking sector & economy?
Simply put 'Naira in some accounts with CBN have no economic value because it is not exchanging hands to create opportunities for new business or consolidate existing business of bank customers'

The funds mopped as a result of TSA is not being traded for anything except when govt needs it.

Hope this is a bit simpler? Nice weekend

Which Rot is Fashola talking about? Since he became minister, has he struck any deal on behalf of FG talkless of having over 10000 MW of electricity installed capacity?

The simple request of Nigerians is more of Metering. I want to pay for what I use. If you have not done that, you can't do all these Macabre dance talks.
