Listening to the interview yesterday, I was waiting to hear than some Soldiers took some ballot papers to thumb print. He stated clearly that Opposition members were arrested which is very possible but all of it gave Ekiti pple the required atmosphere without interference.
It was real drama when Ifeanyi Uba called in to ask Dr Aluko directly and he simply muttered it must have been him. Meanwhile, he spoke before Ifeanyi Uba call like he met him face to face to pick the money.
He talked of raising teams to review each local govt and know the chances of PDP. I think this is the least the PDP must do as a serious party that wants to win.
He mentioned 2 Million USD for Primaries in Ekiti? This was a primary no one contested against Fayose.
The Dr Aluko I know, he can do anything when it does not favour him. |

I have said again and again that all monies being probed is GEJ's security vote which is within his discretion as the President to utilize. Unfortunately such votes exist in the country and at all level of Executive position.
We are putting together alll the monies being charged to see if there was a 2.1B USD missing. So far, we know of 2B naira to AIT, 400M to Metuh, aabout 200M to Jafaru Isa, about 1B to Baffarawa and about 1b to some others. All of these is far less than 10B naira. |

Who appropriated 2.1B USD for arms? Is it arms purchase alone the NSA handles? I think this govt is probing largely the Security Vote of GEJ. A governor of the 2nd poorest state of Nigeria takes 100M as Security vote monthly which he uses as he wills provided he feels that can facilitate securiity at one level or the other. What is the security vote of Nigerian President and is it different from the monies given out? If yes, give us proof of GEJ's Security vote and that it is different from all the monies being probed. For me, time is going and PMB is still scratching head. Let's get to work and make Naija great. |

All we need is an increased economic activities with export as its end product to generate FX thats meets the local needs of Nigerians and the pressure on Naira will vanish. If we remain import dependent economy, it will only go further down.
We had some good alternatives to increase our FX earnings in the banking expansion of 2007-2009 but unfortunately we got a CBN governor with zero urge for business but vigour to over-regulate the whole space which we are still paying for today.
Just imagine if the likes of Akingbola has gotten a warning to ensure all toxic loans are regularized within 12 months or Atuche with the same marching order would have yielded a better result while the brands (PHB/INTERCONTINENTAL) attract FDIs among other benefits.
The country will stabilize with increased spending by govt (6 Trillion for a start is not bad) with an eye on inflation @ the same time.
Nigeria's handlers (from President down) need to understand all factors that are external but very influential to the outcome of every policy and handle them cautiously. |

I expected nothing less from BRF. Someone who could toll a bridge within a state won't toll connecting roads? The policy of FG to scrap the tolls was premised on the fact that N1.50 tax is included in the template used in calculating the final Fuel cost every driver pays (another double taxation)

rusher14: Who said he had no house in Abuja before the elections?
That we read gossip online articles doesn't make the news gospel.
By the way, what matters is what you include in your CCB forms.
Anyone can say anything until documentation becomes imperative.
Perhaps you are right, Saraki may have lived beyond the Radar had he laid his head low. However , he refused to and decided to be in the limelight.
With the limelight comes scrutiny and there, he appears to have failed woefully.
He has not even had the courage to repudiate the charges before him. That says a lot.
Those that are goading him on are not telling him about the potential jail time if he refuses to tap out.
No clemency and no likelihood of presidential pardon.
Bode George might be useful this moment in time. It is deceit to run an election where you know information given to Nigerians are wrong and you simply look away because it is to your favour. Infact, it is a deliberate Corrupt practise. In some developed world which APC painted to be their model for Nigeria, such President would have come under heavy hammer. |

rusher14: Olisa Metuh come on now.
The question that should be asked is if it is political?
Really??
Not whether he is guilty?
Is this your party's stance or your personal opinion?
If this is the Party’s stance then it's little wonder you are now the opposition.
You are free to stand behind any candidate of your choice but it says a lot about your ethics and morals as a party when guilt is thrown to the dogs.
If this is your cloak and dagger response as you plan to occupy the leadership of the house through subterranean maneuvering, then we'll see how it pans out.
All in all, sad commentary from a party spokesperson. Who is not guilty of them all? How did a man without aa house in Abuja before election now have one after he became President? Is it possible to walk without your head shaking (knowingly or unknowinglly)? Like Saraki said the obvious, 'I am standing trial because I am the Senate President' Where then is the freedom to realize dreams in the New Nigeria promised by the APC? |

Politics › Re: Probe: Jonathan Holds Meeting With Ex-ministers by PEREP: 7:17am On Aug 31, 2015 |
ORACLE1975: I must say I like the bold move of the Jonathan Ministers because from my humble but candid observation, I think the APC has no agenda and they represents a crop of old and failed politicians who are bereft of leadership ideas and experiences. Each time I read news from Nigeria, I am appalled by the arrogant insinuations of the APC and its bad mouthing the Jonathan administration, even though it is no longer in power. This APC strategy is one clear characteristic of poor and inexperienced leadership. While I am not a politician and would never want to be, I would very much love to contribute my quota to develop Nigeria when I come home. I want APC to learn from great leaders like the pragmatic and resilient Barack Obama. When Obama came to power in 2008, the US economy was so bad that it was in deep recession. The magnitude of such economic disaster impacted the whole global economy that it plunged into a level as bad as the great depression. Obama did not rule by making Bush a reference point at every instances or wasting his time conducting any probe of the Bush administration. Instead, he tackled the problems he met head long. It is to Obama's credit that the world was steered out of recession and the global economy became flamboyant once again. Unemployment rate in the US is now 5.2% down from 9.1% when Obama took power. Even at this present time when global oil prices have fallen, and big economies like Russia and China are seeing their surpluses turn to deficit, the US can boast of having one of the strong economy in the world. The lesson is simple: good leaders do not look for scapegoats for their own failures. They do not continue pointing accusing fingers each time reality stare them on the face. They instead put plugs to contain the problems and stop them from getting worse. The present Nigerian leadership seems not to know the problem facing the nation. They dont seem to have ideas. The only ideas they seem to have is how to demonize PDP and cast aspersions on the people who served the country in the last administration. Noise making, we all know, cannot solve problems. Noises about stolen funds and waiting until the funds are recovered before one can start ruling is cheap blackmail. When Buhari came to power years back, among the problems he said he is fighting was nepotism. But nepotism of sort is what Nigeria is seeing from his current appointments. The President should roll out his agenda and his plans to make Nigeria great even with the limited resources he met on ground. His ability to start working and not talking about money that has already been spent, will engrave his name in the annals of history. We Nigerians both home and in diaspora are ready to work with him. Throwing muds and casting aspersions all the time is getting too boring and stale, and is a sign of rascality, ineptitude, and an area boy approach to politicking. It is only in Nigeria and Africa that such leadership trait is lauded as an achievement. Dear President Buhari, history beckons on you. Do not let people who have malice and hatred in their heart or axes to grind drag you into their tirade. If you should be angry over anything, your anger should be directed at audit Departments in all the Ministries and parastatals where lootings took place. They earn fat salaries for doing no job, and they drive shinny cars and live in luxurious homes, and now want you to abandon your enormous job of governance and do their jobs of checking ledgers. BUHARI PLEASE SETTLE DOWN. Please 1M likes for this frank comment. I am of same opinion. Let work commenceby setting an Agenda while probes continue. If it takes 4 yrss to probe, will Bubu not set out for REAL DEVELOPMENTAL WORK? |

Please read it. This is just a tip of the iceberg. You will be shocked when you see the breakdown of how Dezieani under the watch of GEJ diverted at least $9 billion to different foreign accounts. Do you think it is a coincidence that GEJ met Buhari a few days ago? Do you think it is a coincident OBJ met Buhari a few days ago? Do you think it is a coincidence that Deziani is in London claiming ill? Do you think it is a coincidence that our foreign reserves miraculously increased to $31.5 billion since Buhari came to power.
