In 2019, when I wanted to vote in Delta State, the card readers for Presidential election were not working to capacity.. It was like 2 people could vote successfully and the next 3 persons won't be able to vote. My polling unit was a PDP stronghold and APC decided to cut the vote. Although PDP won there but more than 40% of votes were cut.
The card reader for governorship election worked perfectly well and Okowa won again.

Don't be ridiculous. Every Deltan know it's James Onanefe Ibori (who happens to be the only Nigerian Govenor that has been jailed in other country for corruption) that's the best Governor. Uduaghan and Okowa are absolute failures.

Ibori started Delta buses and taxis at the end of his tenure and his successor couldn't not continue it.
Tinubu started BRT and made sure he was succeeded by competent Fashola who not only continued but improved what he started.

The money Delta State makes and get from their 13% derivatives plus their normal monthly allocation is enough to make Delta compete with Lagos.
But currently even Kano and Kaduna are much developed than Delta..

With Delta being the State with the highest monthly allocation, 13% derivatives, and IGR, plus their gigantic loans, every Governor is bound to perform..

If Tinubu had governed Delta and developed it, his haters would say it's because Delta is a rich State and an oil producing State that's why.. They'd say, even a stick can develop Delta because of its wealth.

But look at Delta today.

Nigeria has more of a revenue problem than a debt problem..
Our debt to GDP is very OK.

The funny thing is the more we show lack of fiscal discipline the more our lenders give us high interest rate which then compound our already terrible revenue to debt service ratio
